Project Overview
SKYLINE is a black and white neo-noir Halo : Reach Machinima inspired by classic film noir.
Following Drako, a disgraced private investigator living within the decaying depths of Crayfish City.
When a desperate hospital worker hires Drako to investigate her sisters disappearance, the case draws him through violent districts, neglected institutions and rumors of a better life somewhere above Crayfish City. What begins as a missing persons case, eventually becomes an obsessive pursuit towards the mysterious place only known as ''UP''

Voice Actor
A hardened, aging private investigator navigating the decaying lower levels of Crayfish City. Dry, cynical and outwardly controlled, Drako still possesses a buried desire to help people, but his pursuit of the truth eventually becomes a destructive obsession. The performance requires extensive noir style narration, understated humor, emotional restraint and increasingly intense dramatic material.

Voice Actor
A compassionate but anxious hospital worker who hires Drako to investigate her sister’s disappearance. Financially desperate and frightened by the city around her, Ralphie nevertheless pursues the case when the authorities refuse to act, this role requires believable vulnerability, nervous speech and sincere emotional urgency.

A confident and enigmatic woman encountered inside Mantis Bar. Flirtatious, perceptive and potentially dangerous, Valerie toys with Drako while attempting to uncover his intentions, beneath her playful femme fatale persona, she possesses valuable knowledge of Crayfish City’s criminal underworld. The performance requires confidence, controlled flirtation, dark humor and a subtle shift toward seriousness.

Voice Actor
A principled police officer and former colleague of Drako. Patient, compassionate and morally grounded, Yohan once defended Drako during the darkest moment of his career. Years later, he is forced to confront his old friend as Drako’s pursuit of the truth becomes increasingly violent. Though firm and authoritative, Yohan never stops caring about Drako and repeatedly offers him a chance to turn back. The role requires emotional restraint, genuine warmth and intense dramatic delivery.

Baran is a police officer and former colleague of Drako. Although he once helped reassure and protect Drako, he is noticeably blunter and less patient than Yohan. He uses humor and familiarity to soften serious situations, but refuses to accept Drako’s distorted account of the past. The performance requires a grounded, authoritative voice with traces of warmth, sarcasm and frustration.

The Gang Leader controls a small criminal group operating within the Shark District. Arrogant, crude and concerned with appearing powerful, he humiliates his own subordinate the moment they speak without permission. This performance should carry rough confidence, underlying insecurity and the attitude of someone accustomed to being obeyed.

The more aggressive and volatile of the two loan sharks. Armed but visibly desperate, he threatens Ralphie over a debt that is not yet due, trying to disguise financial struggles as criminal authority. This performance should feel rough, impatient and dangerously unstable.

Voice Actor
A mouthy, impulsive member of the Shark District gang who attempts to intimidate Drako without permission from the Gang Leader. His confidence immediately gets him punched by his own boss. This performance should be cocky, confrontational and slightly foolish.

A casual, sarcastic bartender accustomed to the strange clientele and questionable drinks of Mantis Bar. Unbothered by Drako’s mood, the Bartender treats him like another tired old customer. This performance should be dry, relaxed and mildly amused.

Voice Actor
Throughout SKYLINE, there will be opportunities for additional voice actors to provide background dialogue, improvised reactions and random vocal sounds. These may include crowd chatter, gang members shouting, pained grunts, combat reactions, distant arguments and other noises that help the city feel alive.
More information about this will be released in the official working discord server, closer to the finalization of the machinima.
