Project Overview

We’re casting a voice actor for a short trailer promoting an upcoming audio series (audio drama/roleplay), that will be released on social media platforms.
The tone should be cinematic, smooth, and grounded. Think streaming series or movies vibe.

We’re specifically looking for a deep, smooth voice that carries emotional nuance and feels modern and natural. If you have experience with YouTube trailers, that’s a plus!

To ensure consistency and the best possible audio quality, selected actors will be asked to:

  • Watch a short technical video explaining best recording practices

Requirements:

  • Excellent emotional range

  • Must possess or have access to quality recording equipment (home studio or equivalent), including:

    • Professional microphone

    • Audio interface

    • Treated or sound-dampened recording space

  • Auditions with noticeable background noise, interference, echo, or poor clarity unfortunately will not be considered, regardless of performance quality.

  • Submit a raw, unprocessed audio file (no EQ, no compression, no effects)

  • Make sure your audio is clean, clear, and noise-free

  • It should be recorded in 16 bit / 44.1 kHz .wav file format

  • Let us know:

    • Your microphone and interface model

    • Whether your space is acoustically treated

    – Strong background noise or interference
    – Flat or disengaged pacing, which made the delivery feel too monotone for a trailer that’s meant to sell the story and spark interest
    – Script errors
    – Distracting mic or movement noises

Final delivery should be in ABC format (3 takes per line).

Voice description:
  • male adult

  • "A heart…" (Short pause — lower your tone) "…that forgot how to feel." ("Feel" should linger gently in the air. Almost a whisper.)

  • "If the curse survives the winter…" (Graver tone, slow rhythm) "…he won’t." (Sharp drop in delivery. "Won’t" should hit like a verdict — simple and final.)

  • "But even the darkest enchantments…" (Slight lift in tone — like light seeping through cracks) "…leave room for light." ("Light" should feel like a breath, soft but meaningful.)
