Hello all! I've decided to make a little love story based on a love song to test my creative abilities.
As a part of this challenge, I am creating an animatic for a particular scene in the story I've created!
Here's some background info on the story:
In a city plagued with criminal activity, there are two teams of superheroes everyone can count on: The Speed Demons and The Angel Arms. Without rest, they use their super-human abilities to keep the civilians of their city safe.
Though behind the scenes, things aren’t so pretty. The two hero groups are constantly fighting with each other, and the rivalry is only fueled by their respective fans.
It isn’t until The Speed Demons’ member, Delphi publicly saves The Angel Arms’, Sona that things boil over.
Not only is it an unhealthy blow to The Angel Arms’ ego and a boost to The Speed Demons’ but the event causes the public to freak out at the sign of weakness in their protectors.
After all, a superhero should never need saving.

Here's a little bit about the scene I'll be creating with voice actors:
(Set after Delphi saves Sona.)
Sona is feeling very conflicted about being saved by Delphi of all people. So, she follows Delphi around all day, trying to learn more about her.(not creepy at allll shhhh)
Delphi, being as observant as she is, is aware the whole time. She's curious about Sona too, so, she lets things play out.
Eventually, Delphi confronts Sona. They're each a bit hostile towards each other--mainly Sona--but after she opens up, the two find an understanding, and even begin to start liking each other.
Disclaimers:
The two characters will have romantic subtext and while there will be nothing close to sexual/adult content, I'm asking you only audition if you're 18 or older.
The finished animatic and information surrounding it will be posted on my YouTube channel and Instagram.
The deadline may extend if I don't find suitable voice actors.
The script is only around 3 pages and the recording of lines will be short-term, BUT because I will be doing all the art by myself, it may take a while for the final product to be posted. I ask that you please be patient.
As a Voice Actor/Actress, here are some things I ask of you:
I apologize for the inconvenience but I will be extending the deadline further! I'd like more auditions Sona & Delphi...but especially for Delphi. I don't have an exact date of when I'll stop extensions but for now I'll be extending the deadline a week at a time. Thank you for your patience!

Thank you so much for your auditions and interests in "Secretly Mesmerised: A Romance Animatic"! It's really motivating to have all this support!
I'm just giving everyone a little update that I'm going to extend the deadline date to June 17th.
(You may notice that the deadline is only moving up by one day at a time. This is just so more people are able to see this casting call when searching.)
Don't feel discouraged if you've already auditioned, this deadline extension does not mean that the current auditions are being dismissed. I absolutely love what I'm hearing from everyone's auditions and I can't wait to hear more! Thank you.

Delphi is a part of The Speed Demons. She’s soft spoken but not a pushover. She is the organizer of her team. She’s very observant, can spot her enemies weaknesses very well, and plans attack strategies for her crew. Because of her tendency to focus on others, she can be a bit of an airhead about her own actions, and is not the best at fighting—physically or verbally.
(Blunt but also a bit oblivious to how her words could be considered offensive) You asked me a question, I just answered it. I’m not trying to bruise your ego here, you're just being overly sensitive.
(Genuinely intrigued and a bit happy hearing of an idea) No, actually I was thinking It'd be nice to not constantly argue with every member of The Angel Arms.
(before she speaks, she laughs a little to herself, thinking of a funny thought) You know, I don't know what people were thinking. I don't think I could ever make you look weak. When I was holding you, the whole time I was thinking, "This lady's jacked!" Like, come on.

Sona is a part of The Angel Arms. She’s a bit of a smartmouth, likes to keep things honest, and is one of the many brawns of her team. She’s very good at keeping enemies on their toes as she doesn’t show fatigue often. Because her stamina is freakishly high, she’s the one everyone spars with. She may not be the biggest or the strongest but she will always get the last word or punch!
(Very defensive after being insulted and grappling for a comeback.) Overly sensitive!? I’m actually in battle, fighting for the city, meanwhile you just watch people. Which by the way, for a glorified people watcher your people skills suck!
(After an argument she feels guilty and upset at herself.) *stammers* Right, okay, actually, you know what? I'm sorry. Let’s start over.
(Teasing after Delphi compliments her) Just confirming what you said, Delphi.
