Jack: I seek knowledge from Soule The Seer. I am--
Soule: You are the Samurai called "Jack." I know. Unfortunately your search is in vain. Even if I give you the information you desire, the cursed scorpions of the scorching sands would slay you once you left here.
(This takes place immediately after line 1. Jack empties a bag which contained the scropions.)
Soule: Nice... okay, smart guy, let's get real. I know you and I know your quest, warrior. Youwish to return to your proper time and destroy the demon wizard Aku to change the future that is our present. For that you will need powerful magic... magic like the Threads of Time!
