Hello, I am the author of a fanfiction that takes place in the RWBY universe named Rolls Off The Tongue that follows Jaune Arc as he is imbued with the power to grant and receive luck through a kiss. It currently has 2,742 followers and 2,318 favourites with a viewcount of 975,307. I am looking for two voice actors to speak a duologue that would be linked to in the beginning of the next chapter involving two characters, one already known but still shrouded in mystery, and the other someone entirely new.
Knowledge of the story itself, or the world of RWBY is not in any way necessary for the roles and I hope that the characters presented are in some way intriguing to those who have never even heard of the show perhaps or if you have and have never heard of my story. Whilst I won't be as arrogant as to say having a credit in the next chapter of my story will help to gain substantial recognition I would be hopeful that people who read your names will be eager to go and check you out and perhaps request work of their own. As of the 21st of this month there have been 23,605 Views and 7,109 Visitors to the fic's various chapters and I hope that is substantial enough to be some kind of incentive.

This enigmatic narration belongs to an unnamed character veiled in mystery that will play a large part in the story as it continues on. He is introduced as a mercenary for the side of the villains, recruited by Cinder Fall, a suave megalomaniac serving under a sinister higher purpose. He is a somewhat taciturn, direct and composed individual who is seldom seen without his pale porcelain mask. This narration is not taking place in character within the chapter, but instead is intended as an opening to the chapter with the setting and time of the conversation unknown until later.
I am open to a range of interpretations for the performance but key words to keep in mind: Stoic, confident, charismatic.
(Thoughtful) "I've often wondered what luck really was. Is it just another name for coincidence, or is it a tangible force we may come to manipulate?"
(Holding contempt) "Those that forgo their humanity and pursue power no matter what they cost the world. They are why I'm here."
(With slight amusement and determination) "Let's see if I can't clean up this mess."
The softer presence in this opening monologue belongs to the other mysterious character. This is the detached voice of a character already established in the fanfic but her backstory has only lightly been touched upon. She began as a little voice in the protagonist's head and gradually revealed herself to be the source of his newfound powers that have lead him down a rabbit hole of romantic, comedic circumstances. She is a bold, cheeky and charismatic presence that served early on as an encouraging (and often teasing) presence that guides him on how to use his luck and what it's meant for. Recently, however, different layers of her personality have begun to shine out including a more stoic, secretive side alluding to a darker inner nature as of yet unseen.
In this scene detached from the main narrative, her side of the duologue consists of an individual who obviously cares very much for the masked male but is attempting to create a light hearted air to make his apparent setting off less painful for the both of them.
I am open to a range of interpretations for the performance in terms of accent but key words to keep in mind: Charming, jokey, subtly mature.
(Bittersweet) "It's a little unfair. There you are, so confident and ready and here's me, still not able to let you go. Kinda lame, right?"
(Lightly mocking) "'Those that forgo their humanity and pursue power', huh? Is that from one of your comic books or is that actually how you talk now?"
(With amusement) "Oh and watch out for Neo. She's the pink haired one that's all smiley and cute but trust me, she's one short joke away from murder."
This character is a close friend to the Masked Male and is present during this conversation to see him off on this venture. Her identity cannot be revealed just yet but to give a brief flavour, she is a strong willed and reliable girl who is used to being relied upon by others. Through training from devoted, loving parents, and the prestige of her mother's side she has already been recognized as a prodigy despite her young age. In any other circumstance, she would be the one taking the plunge into unknown territory and facing whatever foe threatened the people she cared about. Unfortunately she is unable to do that now, and instead her male friend who, whilst strong enough to hold his own, is known to her as her childhood friend she has always had to stick up for, is at the forefront.
Her bold and charismatic nature should be evident through her voice as well as a softer side that is there for her friends. Key words to keep in mind would be: Bold, passionate, sisterly.
(Unsure) "You sure I can't come along? You couldn't even take on the neighborhood bully back in the day without my help. And I don't think this one is going to stop at a swirly."
(Instructing, warning) "Remember. Don't tell them who you are, don't be anywhere you aren't meant to be, and most importantly; don't you dare die. If you do, I'll know, and wherever your soul ends up I'll find it and punch it back into your body. I mean it!"
(Assuring) "Beneath the cool guy act I know you're unsure. I know you're terrified. And that's why you'll be just fine. Trust me."
