This is a casting call for Revelations of the Seal of Orichalcos a Yu-Gi-Oh! Live Action fan series. Revelations is fan series I have been producing since 2011. I am looking for various voice roles for several characters who are either going to be masked, or animated.
Logline for the Project:
In a realm where reality bends and darkness reigns, Alyseus and his companion the artificial intelligence, AIDA, journey to the enigmatic Shadow Realm to rescue their lost friend, Travis the Trainee. As they navigate the twisted landscapes they uncover a plot by the dangerous SHADOW MASTER who seeks to harness an apocalyptic power. Alyseus must not only find Travis, but unravel the web of deceit surrounding The SHADOW MASTER and his mysterious machine-like companion The ARBITER...
For those who are unfamiliar with Yugioh, dueling is what it is referred to when characters battle in a game using trading cards. Sometimes with life or death at stake. Devices called Duel Disks worn on the arm, bring the monsters to life in the form of holograms. (However in the Shadow Realm, the monsters have never been more real.) The game involves monsters, spells and traps. In a nutshell, a player wins the duel by reducing the other players lifepoints to zero.
All of these roles are prelay roles, meaning any animation or body work will be done after all the voice work. This also allows for a certain degree of freedom and potential improv opportunity for the voice actors. Being that these roles are prelay, a turnover time of about 2 weeks for the delivery of lines would be appreciated so I can continue to move forward with production. All of the scripts are completed so I'd like to select voice actors who are available to record sometime after the end of the casting call.
I have a small budget which I have allocated towards some of the more pivotal characters, for whom I'm looking for a very specific sound. I can send payment via Paypal once I am satisfied with the lines. However for those who are willing to offer their talents for some of the minor roles, I'm more than happy to provide demo reel material and credits.
We're still in the production phase, so the looks for the characters haven't been created or finalized, but I provided some images I generated for my mood board that I hope will inspire the right vibe! The characters also have codenames to help conceal any spoilers.
Some of these are "dueling roles" which means the character will actively be participating in a duel. You don't need to be familiar with Yugioh to perform these roles, all of the duel terminology has been placed into the scripts. The voices are typically animated and exaggerated, I find that this type of tone helps sell the intensity of the scene, since essentially, duels are battle scenes that sometimes have life or death at stake.

What I need from you
I'm looking for cast members who are passionate and interested in the project
Please submit clean recordings (no air conditioners, no fans) please let me handle the post production on your lines. Don't add effects to your lines
Please submit your recordings as one .wav or .mp3 file to the director via Discord, we will invite you to the server once you have been cast
We do occasionally ask for line re-dos, usually for pronunciation purposes, since there are some strangely named cards or characters, but feel free to ask if you're not sure and we'll be happy to help with things like that!
I'd like to cast people who might be interested in reprising the roles of characters some point down the line if we'd like them to reappear.
We likely won't be making any casting decisions until near or after the deadline, to give us a chance to reflect on all the auditions.
Who Are We?
I am Tyler, the creator of the Yugioh Live Action web series, Revelations of the Seal of Orichalcos. Once cast, I'll be inviting those chosen to a discord server where i'll be able to hand over the scripts as well as additional details about the characters! Due to the number of auditions we usually get, I'll only be contacting those who have been cast in a role, after the auditions have concluded.
