*RECAST* *PAID* Audio of the Arcane presents Breanna's Haven
Project Overview
INTRODUCTION
Hello there! This is a casting call for an audio fiction podcast I've been working on called Audio of the Arcane. This series will be an anthology series listening to the recordings of those who dare to explore the magical aspects that hide in real life. This first season is titled "Breanna's Haven." The plan is to have 38 main episodes (about 20-30 minutes each...hopefully) with the possibility of mini/bonus episodes, depending on how the podcast goes.
One of our voice actors has dropped out of the project, so this is a casting call for the character Destiny Williams. *If you consider auditioning, please be aware that this is a supporting role, meaning this character is very important to the story and it will be a long-term role.*
WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
This first season follows Tamsin and Lena, two best friends (practically sisters) who are travelling to the aforementioned Breanna's Haven (pronounced Bree-on-na). Why? Well, Tamsin has received a postcard from Breanna's Haven that reads as follows:
If you wish to know where you came from, arrive at Breanna’s Haven before August One
Tamsin, having no idea as to who her parents are or what her parents are, has decided to take a risk and go to Breanna's Haven, hoping to get the answers she desperately wants. With Lena tagging along, having her own questions, the two of them arrive at Breanna's Haven. But what happens when they get there? Guess you'll have to listen to find out!
The series is a fantasy/supernatural series, with Monsters (as you'll see in the roles), but with a bit of mystery too.
DEADLINES AND AUDITIONS
I'm giving this casting call two weeks. If you are accepted for the role, I will ask that you are able to get in your lines for Episodes 2 and 3 in as soon as possible. I apologize for the pressure, but this is a bit of an emergency recast as we have most of Episode 2 completed, just needing this character's lines before going right into Episode 3 production.
This is a paid project. That being said, as I am not making money with this podcast, my rates may seem quite low, and I apologize for that. However, this being my personal project, I do want to be able to pay you those who are willing to work on it as much as I can muster. For voice actors, the rate is $1.00 USD per line of dialogue used in the podcast (the roles listed just have an amount...payment is not capped in any way and will always be a minimum of $20 USD).
WHAT TO EXPECT
I have a Discord server for this project, so it is imperative to have a Discord, as that is where everything related to the podcast is done.
Additionally, this project will be paid, which will be done through PayPal.
WHAT I'M ASKING OF YOU
- The most important thing is to have fun with it! In fact, I encourage ad-libbing and taking creative liberties where you think it might be fit. At the end of the day, this will be a team effort, so why not bring your ideas to the table?
- This isn't necessarily a NSFW podcast by any means, but please be at least 18 years of age or older if you apply. The main cast starts at that age and with all the swearing, violence, adult themes, and possible spiciness that make take place, I'd prefer not to have younger applicants for this project, even if a character is a minor.
- This is a LGBTQIA+ friendly podcast; most of the characters are queer in one way or another. If that's not your cup of tea, please don't audition.
- I'm not asking for the recordings to be perfect, but minimal background noise/room echo is preferred.
- Audition for as many characters as you like. I don't have specific voices in mind for these characters, which is where you come along. You may not think it, but your voice may be the one for a certain character. I won't know until I hear it!
- Please have at least three takes of each line when you audition for a role, although for longer liners, one will suffice. This will give me a better grasp of your range and the different emotions you convey each line with. Of course, you can have more than three takes if you like.
- This will be a long-term project, so only audition if you are willing to stick around and see this through. Every character I cast will be a recurring character, whether in a supporting or minor role, so you will be back. Plus, there will be opportunities to audition for one-time characters as they come up.

Destiny Williams is the descendant of Breanna Williams and is better known as "The Girl with Gold Eyes". She is the heroine of Breanna's Haven. She can pull a sword from her damn thigh! How cool is that? She likes sword fighting and tending to her plants.
Destiny works with a sense of duty, being the protector of Breanna's Haven. Her voice and lines convey just that--work first, play later (or maybe never). Her patience easily wears thin (especially around Tamsin at first) and although she tries her best to keep her frustrations at bay, the strain of being the heroine of a town that doesn't know what's coming for it threatens to crush her. She tends to emphasis certain words and also tends to sigh...a lot.
(Seriously) If you don’t want this blade to go right through your head, I suggest you get off of her...now.
Of all the people in Breanna’s Haven to get into a bar fight with, you were...unfortunate enough to try and tangle with Rich. Not only are Minotaurs incredibly strong, but they are not the best at managing their anger and stopping their rage is no small feat.
(Friendly, but forced) As I was saying...would you please tell us why you came here tonight? If you can just answer this...very simple question, we can get this all sorted out. (Exasperated, quietly to herself) Yeah, I cannot deal with this anymore.
