Information/Context:
Quetzalcoatl, the feathered serpent and god of wisdom, arts, the sun, and wind, is an empathetic and wise god who looked after humans, at least to the people whom he respects and trusts. Initially, Quetzalcoatl was a kind god who’d provide knowledge and wisdom to his people. However, when the humans turned their backs on him and his fellow gods, Quetzalcoatl had to flee to a plane of existence where the mythical and supernatural could be free from human interference, called the Home Plane. 

One day, many centuries after going into hiding, Quetzalcoatl and his rival, Tezcatlipoca, had a huge fight that left him severely injured and stuck in the Human Plane. At this point, Quetzalcoatl had lost his faith and trust in humankind. However, if it wasn’t for the kindness and compassion from a young college girl named Esperanza, he would’ve never gotten married and had his daughter, Tlemoyotl, or Maya for short. 

Sadly, due to a distrust of humans, his brother, Tezcatlipoca, placed a curse on his daughter when she was a baby, which would turn her into a monster of monstrous rage. To counteract this, Quetzalcoatl would give his daughter the blessing of change to try to keep the curse at bay. While Quetzalcoatl’s gift did keep it at bay, the curse eventually took hold of Maya, burning nearly half of the town they lived in and leaving them to try to escape. Quetzalcoatl wanted to follow Maya and try to help his daughter, but the corrupt mayor of the town wouldn’t let him and tricked him into never being able to leave.

Information/Context:
Tezcatlipoca is a chaotic force of nature, often pulling pranks on people and meting out punishment to those he saw as unjust. Even before he escaped to another plane where mythical and supernatural creatures could be safe from humans, Tezcatlipoca was generally distrustful of humans as well as his rival and brother, Quetzalcoatl. Whatever the reason for his distrust was, he saw Quetzalcoatl as his rival from day one. 

Even so, when he had heard that his brother, after one of their battles where Quetzalcoatl had gotten stuck in the Human Plane, had married a human woman, it was the straw that broke the camel’s back for Tezcatlipoca. Outraged, Tezcatlipoca had convinced his fellow gods that the human had Quetzalcoatl under a spell and called for them to enact punishments on the human to ensure they would never know peace or have a child. However, Quetzalcoatl told each of the gods that his wife was kind and trustworthy; the gods withdrew their punishments, but Tezcatlipoca wasn’t satisfied. In a final act of what he deemed retribution, he placed a curse on Quetzalcoatl’s child that would one day fill them with a rage that was unmatched.

On the day when he saw his curse finally take hold of Maya, Quetzalcoatl’s child, he was satisfied at first. But when he saw the mayor of the town trick his brother into never being able to leave, to say that he was pissed off would be the understatement of the millennium. After all, he was the only one who could make his brother’s life miserable. Reluctantly, he decided to help Maya with her curse so she could survive in the Human Plane, where demihumans were automatically marked as criminals.

Information/Context:
Since her mom got very sick shortly after she was born, Agent Al grew up in an illegal dog-fighting ring with her dad as her “trainer”. At a very young age, Agent Al quickly learned to fight, control her matter-manipulation power, and survive in brutal conditions. She was indomitable in the arenas, taking on enemies that many wouldn’t be able to take on. Despite her reputation as “The Brick Wall”, Agent Al showed compassion to some of her fellow fighters. Sadly, her dad and her trainers saw her compassion as weakness and would often punish her to “keep her fighting spirit alive”. 

Agent Al managed to endure these punishments, but the one that truly set her off was when she was forced to eat her own spirit half. Once she was done eating her spirit half, Agent Al went on a rampage, destroying the entire dogfighting arena and leaving no survivors. Agent Al roamed the streets on her own and met with Doctor —, who’d take her in to help her with her project. Agent Al mostly keeps to herself but has been seen being “friendly” with Agent Br, the resident botanist and doctor.

Aaiko is one of the few insectoids who lives in secret caves. He is considered to be perhaps the most beautiful thing one can see in someone’s lifetime. He can’t often see very well in bright lights, and is often with his best friend, Vivi. He is often seen as someone who will be there to help support and heal you whenever there’s problems. Although he’s very young and his skills aren’t fully known yet, he has a love and desire to travel. But with his young age, and occasional timid and soft nature, it’s no wonder one would have a hard time understanding or learning about his existence.

Information/Context:

Originally, Agent S was once a human boy who lived in a small town in Mexico with his family. His mother died shortly after he was born, leaving Agent S under the care of his abusive father. As a child, Agent S didn’t have many friends. The one exception was the daughter of a local god who helped out the people in secret named Maya. Maya and her magical family were very welcoming and close with Agent S. Sadly, that didn’t stop the bullying and mistreatment toward Agent S, especially from his father. Maybe it was the fact that Agent S was much skinnier compared to the other boys of his town. Perhaps it was because he almost resembled his own mother. Whatever the reason, Agent S knew he could always find solace in Maya and her family.

One day, during Agent S’ birthday party, his father caught him hanging out with Maya and started to attack him, only for Maya to retaliate to try and protect Agent S, leading to a large fire that engulfed the entire town and accidentally killed Agent S. However, a few years later, a strange doctor would come into the small town and take the body of Agent S, reviving her in the process. When Agent S was revived, her gender got mixed up and some of her memories got fragmented. Thankfully, she was taken in under the doctor’s wing and trained to be her right-hand woman and assistant.

Information/Context:
Kitsu was born in a “lab” made primarily of her mother’s DNA. Her parents, Dr. Aliera Kiki and Dr. Lukoli Zephyr, raised Kitsu as their own daughter alongside their helper droids, Bliss and Aqua. Kitsu spent most of her life in the labs that her parents worked in and was smarter than most kids her age. Kitsu didn’t spend much time outside of the labs, nor did she have many friends. The one exception to this was a kind demi-goddess who'd hang out with Kitsu as a kind of babysitter whenever her parents and their coworkers were too busy to watch over her. Kitsu never learned the demi-goddess’ actual name, but called her “Quez” since she had the color of a quetzal, a colorful bird from Earth. Sometimes, Quez would tell Kitsu stories about Earth and the life it once held. When Kitsu asked what happened to Earth, Quez solemnly replied, “Nothing that hubris didn’t cause.”

One day, Aliera told Kitsu that she was going to have another baby girl. She had another embryo made in the lab, but this time, it would be grown within Aliera’s womb. Kitsu was ecstatic to meet her soon-to-be little sister, whom she called Molly, after her father’s grandmother.

Information/Context:

Storyweaver is an eldritch being that was born shortly after the universe was created. Throughout the creation of the universe, Storyweaver traveled from star system to star system, observing the planets and moons from afar. As Storyweaver watched, they became fascinated with the lives mortals lived and the tales they came up with. Storyweaver ended up collecting the stories of the civilizations on the planets and moons, as well as the souls that passed away in the form of strings. They would cherish each and every string they collected and use them to make up their outfits. However, Storyweaver noticed that if they tried to interact with the life on the moons and planets too much, it would lead to disaster and catastrophe, inevitably resulting in the death of any life that might’ve lived on it. Because of this, Storyweaver had to resort to watching from afar, only visiting to collect the “stories” of the lives that were lost and interfering in times of great catastrophe (aka when the plot demands it).

Enola works for animal control in her local neighborhood and lives with her little sister, Aminta. Her parents died a short while after Aminta’s birth, so Enola had to become her caretaker. One day, Enola came across a strange-looking dog covered in blue goop, not knowing it was actually an alien creature. Enola took it to the animal shelter, just to be safe and make sure it didn’t go around hurting people. Over the next few days, more and more people from her neighborhood started disappearing, Enola’s sister included. Enola had heard that a monster that no one had ever been able to see had been taking away people. Determined to recover her lost sister, Enola went off to the forest to try and take down the beast. Sadly, the monster had caught her off guard, injuring her arm and taking her to its cave. Yet, for some reason she didn’t know at the time, it didn’t eat her, but instead trapped her in its nest like she was its baby.

For the next few days, people all over her neighborhood started disappearing without a trace. Rumors about a strange monster that no one has been able to see started to circulate, but Aminta didn’t pay much attention to them. That is, until the monster itself captured Aminta and took her to its cave. There, Aminta found the cave was covered wall to wall with people trapped in blue slime like bugs in a spider web. Aminta was trapped in the slime just like her neighbors, slowly growing weaker from starvation and dehydration.

Information/Context:
Methi was once her village’s elder, giving advice and helping the injured or sick. One day, a strange-looking individual who went by the name of Camo appeared on the outskirts of the village. While most of the villagers, including her daughter Chanika, were wary of him because of Camo’s sudden and odd appearance, Methi welcomed Camo warmly and accepted him. With help from a kind young man named Chaiwat and his little sister, Achara, Methi made sure Camo felt happy and welcome in the village. Sadly, that happiness would last only a day, as Camo would suddenly attack the village for reasons unknown to the villagers. Methi saw the destruction that was wrought on the village she once called home just before she was killed. 

Soon after, she woke up as a spirit with little to no prior memories of what happened that day nor of Camo’s existence. Methi found that all the spirits of the other villagers had fates similar to hers, but soon encountered a terrifying beast unlike any they had seen before, and they ran to the forest surrounding their village for refuge. Methi and her fellow villagers had to survive there, save for the spirits of her daughter and the young man and his little sister, who were nowhere to be found.

Patricia was raised in New Orleans with her mom. At an early age, Patricia soon learned that she, much like her mother, could wield magic like a witch. Patricia knew that, in many countries, mythical and supernatural beings were considered illegal and dangerous threats, even more so for demi-humans like her. And with her mother running a diner that was constantly under threat of being shut down in a conservative state, Patricia knew her life as an African American witch-in-training was going to be quite the struggle. Thankfully, with the help of Patricia’s friends, a human named Jorge and a half-demon Ashley, she found people who she could be herself around as well as help out with her mom’s diner.

Sometimes, Patricia would meet peculiar people of different races and species visit her mom’s diner:an eccentric yet entertaining goatman who happens to run his own podcast, a cursed demi-goddess on the run, and an alien otter trying to atone for his sins. These people, while their visits may be short, all held an important place in her heart. Whether she gets saved by a demigoddess from a priest trying to exorcise her and Ashley, or facing off a mad alien scientist with the alien otter by her side, Patricia always makes sure to get the job done.
