Project Overview

What is Controversy Twins?
Controversy Twins is a low budget animation series that started as basically being two brothers from a black and white spectrum, discussing controversial topics. The animation series then evolved into an open structure of really short 3 minute episodes that surrounded the same brothers but now had more characters in the mix. Season 3 will expand on the characters a bit and really stretch my abilities as an animator and writer. The whole thing about Project Trojan is, on the surface it's supposed to be a silly gag piece of media that seems like a light comedy but underneath, it challenges some of societies most concerning and most disturbing, swept under the rug, type controversies. I still aim to achieve that with this season.

Please submit an audition only if:
-You have decent ability to perform voice overs. I don't require you to take a class or anything crazy like that, I just want a decent level of performance.
-You are open to getting guidance. Even after you land the roll, you may still need to be coached, corrected or requested to perform lines in a different way. Please bear with me and be open to constructive criticism through out the recording period.
-You have a decent microphone to record and the ability to record in a relatively quiet surrounding.
-You can provide voices through email or drop box.

This is a voluntary Project:
There will be no pay with this project. I will however provide recommendations and will be an active Point of Contact [POC] for any references you may need for other projects in the future. If you land a role in this project you will also be entitled to the footage and clips per request for personal use or promotion.

Disclaimers you should know:
The entire season will be rated PG-13. Which means that anyone below the age of 18 will have to get parental or guardian approval before being cast for a role. There is no exception to this.

  • Deadline has been Extended

    Hey guys! Did I say thank you? If I did already, thank you again!!! I am so glad to see so many great auditions, you are extremely talented in your respective ways and I can't wait to work with you guys. I have sorted through the auditions and is currently in the final stages of selection. I will start closing some of the roles soon and have extended the deadline for the characters that did not have any auditions. For those characters that had auditions, I will select from the auditions submitted before the deadline. Thank you.

Exact opposite of White. He is positive and goes ahead with anything he wants even in thought and speech. He's carefree and also a real idiot at times.

Cassie is extremely nervous all the time and can only focus her attention on one item for a short period of time. She can some how manage to keep track on what she switched attention to and trail back on the things she needs to respond to. Her nervousness is what makes her shy for the most part. She is tender and loving but that does not come across immediately. 

  • Come on, Cassie. Stop talking to yourself it's pointless. Did I take my food today? How many calories have I taken. Aaaaargh!! So much to keep up with! Oh! sorry did Is say that out loud? heh!

Zoe is mature and carries herself as a smart individual. She is very observant of human interactions. She is positive and friendly. She loves meeting new people and making new friends. Very confident in her observation skills.

  • They are so in Love. Just look at how proud she became all of a sudden. Her eyes lit up, she is getting butterflies. The guy is thinking about it, but he won't go in for the kiss. Oooh this is so exciting!

Violet is extremely brash and dry. She has no care to how she can make someone feel. Direct to the point and never hold back. She has a low tone and seems always condescending even when she isn't trying to be.

She is a Therapist. This should give you an idea. Soft spoken and very intelligent. Warm inviting tone and always very optimistic. 

  • So you essentially feel as if being outside is making you vulnerable. What if this vulnerability is always there? What if it's always present and the only reason you don't freak out at home, is because... you know there can't be anyone watching you.

Super confident but arrogant about her Karate skills. Determined to defeat anyone that even seems to be stronger than her. The possibility of anyone being better than her drives her crazy and irritates her. She speaks in a demeaning tone on purpose make people seem beneath her.

Perhaps the easiest role to audition for. Roman doesn't have any actual lines but he does react and expresses himself using exclamations. He doesn't care about what's going on half the time, he is normally in his own world majority of the time. Innocent and very child like but monotone by default.

Positive. Almost exactly like White but she does think before she speaks and generally wants the best for everyone around her. Her tone is high and very friendly but to be specific, it's not an inviting 'I want to talk to you about my problems' tone like Thera's. It's more so a, 'I want to be your friend', kind of tone.

  • Everyone can just chip in and we can all stack on funds! This will be awesome!! I can't wait!

Vermeil is just like his sister Electro but he has perfected muscle training instead of Karate and is super confident in his strength. He get's frustrated when someone else shows more strength than him. He is righteous though and always does things the right way. Very noble unlike his sister.

Karat lives in the perfect world. She is positive and happy all the time and never considers what might go wrong. Her happy energy is unmatched to everyone else even when people make fun of her hair and outfit. She has than happy and in you face positivity kind of tone.

The show will take place in a very modern setting and all these character live in a massive building in the city. The scenes will take place indoors for the most part but some will be outside. I am working on concept designs for this but I am open to have an extra hand help me with drawing and designing different backgrounds for the scenes.

Chem is a learned Chemist that works as the towns drug expert. She is extremely wealthy but instead of lavishing in her wealth she works a 9 to 5 in her own drug store helping the townsfolk with their medical needs. She is not the nicest person as she only sees the world objectively and people as biological subjects. However she does express emotion here and there. Not too much though. Instead of laughing she will lightly laugh e.t.c

  • If you ingest this 4 times a day you'll die. So only take it 3 times. Talk about walking the edge, sick people are the craziest daredevils if you ask me.

  • Look, your body, your rules. I can't give you anything unless you sign a form anyway so, pick your poison.

  • I'm a chemist...the best tip is being a test subject for the drugs I give you. Now given that I won't turn you into a flesh atronarch, it's still something to me *light laugh*
