Project Overview
About
Project SEKAI: Smiling Symphony is a unpaid Project SEKAI English fandub aiming to dub/cover Project SEKAI cover/commissioned or any song in general.
RequirementsYou are required to be at least 13 or older to be able to apply for this fandub.
You are expected to join the Discord server after applying. Not only Discord will be our only tool to communicate, there's a chance you will be call backed, which will take place in Discord.

As this is a fandub aims to dub/cover songs, you are required to have a good-quality microphone. It's preferred to have a XLR/USB microphone but please don't let this restrict you to auditioning.
As this fandub is English only, please provide one sample of your singing in English. You are allowed to add samples in other languages but we still need ONE English sample.
In addition, please provide one sample of your singing WITH instrumentals. This is to ensure you have timing when singing.
When auditioning, please provide your Discord username and other information (e.g. microphone/audio interface you use, singing demo reel, etc).
Do not private your audition. I cannot see it.
Although this is a fandub, character interpretations is very welcome. We love to hear how your vocals may portray a character.
Although mentioned briefly above, we have a callback system that will take place in Discord. We expect you to be prepared for that anytime!
We are not fully casting every character immediately. The deadline will extend to the end of every month until we fill the cast list.

DESCRIPTION
- We’re looking for a vocalist with powerful range and energy. Leo/need’s discography features tracks that's often very upbeat and we need someone who can match that intensity and keep up with the high energy.
- This Miku's vocals should be distinctive and able to stand out among the group as when performing with Leo/need, Miku's voice needs to shine and distinguish itself from the other girls, which is key.

DESCRIPTION
- We’re looking for a vocalist who can sing brightly. More More Jump is an idol group overall so we should have a vocalist that's able to portray their songs with liveliness!
- We're also expecting someone who has good vocal projection. Idols tend to train their breath control and resonance to be able to singing loudly without straining so we believe this Miku should have that quality too.

DESCRIPTION
- We’re looking for a vocalist who's able to portray her personality within their vocals yet still be able to provide "punch." This Miku's vocals tend to be more warmer as she's known to be the "cool and laid-back senpai" to the group.
- However, we believe it's also important for her to have a powerful and controlled voice. After all, Vivid BAD SQUAD's discography is literally street music thus the "punch" part of our description.

DESCRIPTION
- We're looking for someone who's able to portray this Miku's bright and energetic vocals. Wonderlands x Showtime Miku is known to be childish and cheerful so we want to portray that in her singing too.
- Since Wonderlands x Showtime is a theater group, we're hoping to look for someone who has a theatrical background/skills. This includes having the skills to belt. This doesn't raise your chances of being accepted and rather is just optional.

- We’re looking for a vocalist who's able to rather sing with emotions. Nightcord's discography is filled with emotional songs and we're hoping to portray those emotions with this Miku in particular.
- This Miku is the softest amongst all Miku however has good controlled vocals.

- We're looking for someone who's able to portray Rin's bright yet youthful vocals. It's rather the main aspect of Rin considering her canonical age is around teen range.
- Although Rin's vocals are bright, we desire some versatility in her vocals. She may be the most upbeat amongst all the Virtual Singers but it's important for her to rather fit into a song without standing out too much.

- Len's vocals is similar to Rin as they're both counterparts of each other. We desire something bright, energetic, and youthful yet is able to be versatile with songs.

DESCRIPTION
- Being the more mature vocalist of the Virtual Singers, we're looking for something more richer and smoother to contrast the previous three Virtual Singers (Miku, Rin, Len) with their bright vocals.
- We believe versaltility is really important for Luka. She has many different genres of songs and is able to pull it off effortlessly.

- We're looking for someone who's CRAZY in power. MEIKO is known for her low timbre but what others tend to neglect is her INSANE range in vocals. We think this is really important in MEIKO and others shouldn't be neglecting the main aspect of her.
- We also think dynamics is important in MEIKO. Although her raw power, she should have the ability to sing with emotions and volume too.

- We're looking for a more smoother and clearer vocals. In contrast to Len, his vocals has a deep, warm resonance that can feel comforting or emotionally powerful, depending on the song.
- It's something worthy to note that he has a distinct nasal that makes him stand out too. Although not required, it's something that we think is important to KAITO's vocals.

- Ichika is the main vocalist of Leo/need thus we think individuality is important in her vocals. She should be able to stand out in terms of vocal projection and dynamics.
- We think versatility is also important for Ichika. She rather strives best in conveying emotions despite her vocals not being the most strongest.

- Honami is definitely the softest vocals in Leo/need however is very heartwarming, giving off that friendly and approachable tone that's perfect to act as support vocals in a song.
- There's time where Honami gets to shine through and we believe some power and definitely emotions should also be prioritized.

- Although Minori is not the strongest in vocals and rather plays the role of a supporting singer in More More Jump!, we believe it's important to portray Minori's optimistic and hopeful energy when singing.
- Her vocals leans to the softer, airy yet can be playful. We think that's important in Minori's singing espacially since she's in an idol group.

- Haruka has a very good vocal projection. With her long-time experience as an idol, we expect Haruka to have some natural aspects of an idol such as dynamics, emotions, and power.
- Her vocals have a perfect blend of energetic optimism and emotional depth, with a strong, confident sound that reflects her personality, which we think is important to her.

- We think Airi really needs vocal projection. She has a very cute and mischievous tone that has a lot of power within More More Jump's discography!
- She also has a bit of a theatrical flair in her vocal delivery as she also can belt pretty well. This rather provides flair to her already energetic personality.

- Shizuku's vocals is extremely airy and soft however really shines for her stability and tone. Her tone is very elegant, refined, and filled with emotional depth which can be heard well in more... emotional songs.
- Talking about emotional depth, Shizuku should be able to stand out from that emotional depth in any song whether that be something ballad or something more energetic.

DESCRIPTION
- Kohane's vocals showcases her growth within Vivid BAD SQUAD. As she's "inexperienced" in the group, her vocals lean to the more fresh and rather "cheeky" (Like she uses her cheeks to sing) vocals.
- However we also want to hear something powerful from Kohane. As her voice grows, she turns more mature and developed, being able to use her chest voice well and we want to hear someone being able to portray that.

- An is very known for her expressiveness and power she provides to Vivid BAD SQUAD. In contrast to Kohane, her vocals should be able to shine for her vocal projection as she has been into street music since she was born.
- We also think dynamics and versatility is important. Not all songs in Vivid BAD SQUAD's discography is all powerful so An should be able to adjust to the songs.

- Akito's vocals are considered to be rough. Similiar to An, he should have good vocal projection as he's been into street music since middle school.
- Akitos' also really good at portraying emotions. He's able to impact listeners with his emotional depth and we think that's something we want to hear too.

- Toya comes from a classical background so we believe that one important factor about his vocals is his smoothness and refined vocals. We also think his vocals is rather polished and sophisticated.
- His vocals is also extremely dynamic. He has some sort of stage presence when singing energetic songs that should be shown when singing.

- His energy is crazy when singing. He provides a lot of of enthusiasm when singing which is perfect for Wonderlands x Showtime's discography that's filled with A LOT of upbeat tracks.
- However he also rather good with dynamics. He can be extremely emotional when needed in songs that's more introspective and we think that's important especially in a group like Wonderlands x Showtime, a theater group.

- Her vocals are extremely elegant and carries emotional depth that's extremely powerful in Nightcord at 25:00's discography similiar to Kanade. They both share the same quality however in difference between them is Mafuyu has a more slightly deeper, rich tone that exudes a sense of maturity and calm.
- Mafuyu's vocals is also very controlled. She's able to rather to convey an emotional breakdown in the song itself while still being able to be stable in her vocals.

- In contrast to the previous two, Ena has extremely good technique and powerful vocals. She should be able to have good vocal projection in singing and contrast the previous two.
- However we're not saying emotional depth is not important for her. Ena can also be extremely emotional and dynamic when needed and we think that's important within her character.

- Their vocals are known to be extremely energetic and powerful. Mizuki rather holds more of a playful and mischievous tone in their voice, which we think is important for their character. We also believe they should have some dynamics since Nightcord at 25:00's discography requires that.
- We encourage for any gender to audition for this role. As Mizuki doesn't have a confirmed gender, we support anyone to represent them!
