Project Overview

Hope's Peak Academy, the school for teens with ultimate talent. The school for the elite, has opened a school in the United States. Yet recently, it has been abandoned. Hallways that used to be full and bustling with life are now echoing in silence. Classrooms that held the most talented beings on the planet now belong to the rats.

Not much is known why.

However, there is a rumor about a project spreading around, a reason why the elitist school that is Hopes Peak Academy US shut down.

Project: Wilco Mayday.

Legend has it that a bunch of independent researchers lured Hopes Peak Alumni in with the promise of unimaginable wealth. All they had to do was participate in a study.
Yet everyone that ever partook in that study has yet to be seen since.

ZiChen Wu, the Former Ultimate Criminal Investigator, has been fascinated with this case ever since it opened in 20XX. They've always wanted to investigate, but was always denied the chance to ever dig deeper by their chief officer.

Now, they're going rogue.

Follow them on their journey to discover the true horror of what happened to the 14 missing alumni, and uncover the secrets of the mysterious Project: Wilco Mayday.

Hello, and welcome to the VA audition page for Project: Wilco Mayday! This is a found footage/ARG style Danganronpa Inspired audio drama that will be posted on YouTube!

Here are a few pointers for your audition:

1) YOU MUST BE 18+ TO AUDITION. If I find out that you are a minor either during the audition process or after being casted, you will be removed and recast. This is non-negotiable.

2) Please submit your auditions in the AABBCC or ABCABC format, with the improv at the end! Also, please submit your audios in either the mp3 or .WAV format :)

3) Please keep the way you speak as realistic as possible. If dialog feels unnatural to you, feel free to improv a little! I want this project to feel as though you're listening in on real conversations and found audio tapes, so please be comfortable with improv!! You will be required to improv in character for this audition and within the project itself!

4) While the cast is diverse, please feel free to audition for anyone you'd like! All accents are welcome. If you wanna audition for a girl character while having a masculine voice, or vice versa, go for it! If the voice fits, it fits. They're trans now :)

5) Please keep feedback and background noise to a minimum!! You are more likely to be picked if you have a good mic!!

6) DO NOT USE AI AT ALL. Any use of AI will not be tolerated, and will result in an immediate dismissal/recast.

7) Joining the discord server is NOT REQUIRED!! I will be posting updates here as well.   • On Improv & A Progress Update

    Hey yall!!

    A lot of people have dm'd me concerning the improv requirement for this project. Although improv is encouraged, it is NOT required. You'll still be considered equally if you don't have improv in your audition.

    The main reason I added that was because for the most part, I want this series to be table read, as I find that has a more natural sounding output. This will include little bits of improv however you see fit. Its found footage, y'know? However, as a dancer and a voice actor, I know how nerve racking improv can be, so don't fret. :)

    Also, progress update!!

    Art: Sprites and character designs have been finalized! Everyone now has a design, and I will be working on the UI very shortly.

    ARG Elements: These have been finalized and are currently being implemented into the story!! All socials/tweets have been made and are being scheduled, and the strawpage for our co-protag ZiChen will be up shortly!!

    Writing: The entire series has been roughly outlined, deaths and executions are set in stone and we have an ending in sight. Both the Prologue and Chapter 1 are completely outlined!! The Prologue is about 50% done, and chapter 1 is about to begin the writing stage. The way things are looking, the Prologue and Ch 1 should be written by mid/end of April.

    Editing: Some VA work has been completed, but the process of making videos is paused due to scripts being worked.

Ay - yuh Dar-ling


A sweet girl, someone who finds kindness and beauty within everything. She loves the stars, the universe, and everything in it. Its her dream to explore the cosmos, but for now she just works from her apartment. Theres no wonder shes ZiChen's best friend and confidant. She keeps them grounded, and even causes a little mischief on her own... well. Only you count putting a PNG of a dog on your door as mischief.


Her voice is a medium tone, not too high or low. Shes very shy, very soft, but also very relaxed and kind. Shes just a sweetie pie :)

Dao has- for lack of a better phrase- a fighting spirit. Shes very centered, yet isnt afraid to tease people lovingly. Her confidence in herself knows no bounds. She knows how strong she is, knows how intimidating she can be, and knows how to use it to protect people she deems weaker than her.

She has a very chill, lower toned fem voice. Someone strong, someone you can confide in. Definitely mature, but not like. Sultry. Relaxed :)

Xavi is a grounded spirit. Hes very chill, floating through life, trying not to take it too seriously. He encourages others not to take things that dont matter very seriously either, and will often crack jokes at others- and his own- expense. But overall, hes a nice, chill guy... even if hes not a team player sometimes. He is very confident in his ability to fix things though, and often takes the task of fixing things- even things hes never fixed before- without asking. He has that big brother vibe to him, if that makes sense.

Xavi has a mid-low tone, with a noticeable rasp to it sometimes, especially when hes out in his own world. Typical cool guy tone, just slightly lower. Please do NOT do a stereotypical "Blackcent" for his character. Although he is black, the stereotypical "blackcent" is racist and disrespectful.

A nervous wreck. He wants to be friendly so, so bad... and he is. Hes very nice, hes just anxious. Despite most students being transfers, he took his transfer from England to America the hardest, and desperately wants to seem cool and fit in. Hes very nice, and looks out for the little guys, but sometimes tries to fill shoes that are too big for him.

PLEASE USE A BRITISH/AUSTRALLIAN ACCENT FOR THIS AUDITION!! Literally any fuckin accent (ie Scottish, Welsh, Northern Irish, etc)

He has a mid-high voice, with notable voice cracks when he gets nervous or tense. He has a tendency to laugh when he is uncomfortable, and fidgets a *lot.* When extremely panicked, he has a tremble to his voice, extremely frantic, voice cracking and squeaking. However, when he needs to be, he can be very grounded and caring. When excited, he talks very fast, stumbling over his words.  Also unironically says things like "Thank the stars" and "Good heavens!"

She is, however, a follower, and is extremely cliquey. She tends to follow Sota's direction, being his best friend and confidant. However, she'll usually apologize for him- and other people for that matter- and will offer free services to apologize for sneezing.


She has a higher pitched- yet still grounded- voice, with a very friendly, bubbly and excitable tone. She definitely has a valley girl twang to her. Her voice is very much inspired by Zoey from K-pop Demon Hunters.

A BUM. Sorry, thats just teh easiest and best way to describe him. Takumi lives in his moms basement, plays video games all day, and watched Red Pilled Alpha Male content while gambling his life away on random banking apps. He truly is the definition of falling from grace. He used to be such a smooth talker, an amazing data analyst that used his talent to catch predators. Now, he's cynical, irritable, and extremely selfish. But hey, anything to make that money, right?

Any tone except high works for Takumi. He talks with a semi noticeable vocal fry. He's very lazy when he talks, barely enunciating his words, as if he's barely paying attention to what he's saying.

A very eccentric guy. Cant stand staying still for too long, and is a total thrill jockey. He's not jittery per say, but he can be if he's under stimulated. He gets very zoned in on any task he's dedicated to, and wont say no to any challenge. Outside of that, hes extremely aloof, and is semi out of touch with reality. Hes very cheery, very cool headed... or at least, he tries to be. Not quite a himbo, but definitely toeing the line. Hes extremely smart, but prefers to put that towards... escaping. He has a mid toned, chipper voice. Very happy guy, doesn't like being sad.

She used to be a sweet, loving girl at Hopes Peak. She comes from a family of software designers, so beta testing video games became a no brainer. However, ever since an incident she never spoke of, she has been huddled up in her apartment consuming nothing but ramen and monster. She doesnt like people, she doesnt like going outside, and she certainly doesnt like being in a killing game. Too bad, am I right?


She has a low-mid tones voice, sounding very similar to Zooble from The Amazing Digital Circus, just a bit higher toned. She constantly sounds bored and irritated. However, when allowed to reminisce or talk about things she likes, she softens, becoming almost a completely different person.

Geeky, but unsettling. Has a very creepy, uneasy smile on his face at all times... but its very soft. Not a wide smile, but still. A gentle smile that never leaves his face. Just very unsettling, very professional, even in casual spaces. Little regard for himself and those around him, yet still tries to take people under his wing whenever he can. Something is just... wrong with this guy. Hes not a mad scientist, but ohhhh boy is something not right. No one can put their finger on what.


He has a very smooth, mid toned, creepily comforting voice. He always uses professional language, as if he's always writing a company email. He never stumbles over his words, annunciating and speaking with clear intent and purpose. He often uses very big words to sound smart. Very suave.

Definition of "started from the bottom now we're here." Completely self taught law student, blazed through her degree, and ended up top of her class all of her years of schooling. Never has she lost a case, and she doesn't plan to. Marcella is a very assertive person, someone very stuck in her beliefs. If she believes you're guilty, she will fight to prove you wrong, even if her herself is wrong. She's very passionate about what she does, and she will not let you forget how hard she fought to get where she is.


She has a mid-low voice, with a very passionate punch in what she says. She's extremely honest, can never tell a lie without it looking extremely obvious. Think Wenona from Project: Eden's Garden if she had a harder punch to her, and was slightly higher toned.
