Princess Tutu Fandub
Project Overview
Hello everyone! I don't know if there are many Princess Tutu fans on here, but I thought I would hold a casting call for anyone who is interested in doing a fandub of all the Princess Tutu episodes released. There will be auditions for all the roles varying from reoccuring characters, the main cast, and oneshot episode characters. It is suggested that you have a decent microphone other than the standard laptop microphone, but I am always open to any auditions sent in. I can't wait to hear everyone!

Fakir has a deep teen voice and while he desires to protect the prince, he also fears meeting his fate of being ripped in half by the Raven.
"Begone you ugly crow!"
"It's strange. No matter how many books I read, they all have had the ending torn out of them. Even the story of the Ghost Knight was the same way."
"I'll only tell you this once: Stay away from Mytho."

Drosselmeyer is an older man who wrote the story the Prince and the Raven. He enjoys tragedies and gave Ahiru her pendant to turn into Princess Tutu. He has an older voice which is a slight bit mysterious and mischievous at the same time.
"All you children who love stories, come gather round."
"Now then, tell me a story won't you little duck?"

Pike is a friend to Ahiru despite berating her many times and putting her down. She has a tomboyish high pitched voice and has a lot of sass to her voice.
"C'mon Duck! At this rate you'll be dropped to probationary class again!"
"What?! No way! Fakir is the greatest in the world!"
"A doomed love. A duck meant for failure."

Uzura is a child puppet made from Edel in the second season. Unlike Edel, Uzura is a toddler and is always happy about things. Her voice is higher pitched and she always says zura at the end of her lines.
"When people say Duck goes really well together and is lovey dovey, what does it mean zura?"
"Your tail is...not a tail! Where's your tail zura?!"
"I know where the end of the story is zura!"

Actor is a student at Goldcrown Academy who spends most of the time in the library. He seems fascinated with Drosselmeyer and is very snobbish and a bit of a know-it-all.
"Can you please be a little quieter in here?!"
"Keep writing. Write for the one who's waiting for your story."

Mytho is the prince of the story "The Prince and the Raven". He shattered his heart in order to seal away the Raven and protect the people around him. In the first half of the season Mytho is very emotionless and slowly starts to express himself more. His voice is a higher, but gentle male voice and he doesn't know much about his feelings.
In the second half, Mytho is very much more expressive. His emotions vary now, but his heart is corrupted from the blood of the Raven. His actions can change from taunting Fakir to berating Kraehe and even attempting to seduce the female students of Goldcrown Academy.
In the finale when he has his heart back, Mytho (now calling himself the Prince or Prince Siegfried) is kind and heroic. He knows his task is to vanquish the Raven once and for all, doing what it takes to protect the people of Goldcrown Town.
"I wonder what it is I think of you Fakir. When I think of you, when I'm thinking of Rue, and when I think of Princess Tutu. I always feel something different."
"Pike, promise to love only me. Promise me that you'll hate everyone else. And as proof, you'll give me your beautiful heart, won't you?"
"I am the feeling of bitter disappointment, shattered and forgotten."

Mr. Cat is the ballet division teacher and throughout the series makes many attempts (via threats) of marrying Ahiru. He has a slight lisp to his voice and a small hint of a rasp.
"Miss Duck, if you do not improve I will force you to marry me!"
"For anyone who wins second place in this contest gets the honor of being my partner. Not only in dancing but in marriage!"
"Miss Duck, you'd better not be messing up on purpose. Just because you want to marry me I will not forgive you if you mess up on purpose!"
English voice actress: Jessica Boone
Rue has a more mature slightly deeper sounding voice, which she keeps when she is Princess Kraehe. She is the daughter of the Raven and wants the Prince to love her alone. In the first half of the series, she is friendly to Ahiru, not knowing that she is Princess Tutu, but in the second half she becomes more spiteful towards Ahiru.
"Mytho, I want you to tell me that you love me."
"That's right I am a crow and I alone am the true primadonna. Princess Kraehe. I'll take what I desire by force if need be!"
"No please don't! Don't eat the prince's heart! I'm begging you please take my heart instead! Please I love you my prince! I have ever since I was little! I'VE ALWAYS LOVED YOU!"
English voice actress: Luci Christian
Ahiru has a very childish high pitched voice when she is a girl and when she is a duck, but when she turns into Princess Tutu, her voice is more mature, but still gentle and higher.
Quack! (Preferred to hear different styles of duck quacks. Her range of quacks seem to vary at times.)
Tutu: "I cannot speak words of love to you, but I can dance. Surely I can convey these feelings through that as well."
""Lady Rue just sounds weird. Plus we've walked together and talked together already right? Thus it's Rue!"

Edel is a puppet that was made to help Duck along the way in the first half of the series. She has a very gentle and motherly voice to her if not a bit distant.
"May those who accept their fate be granted happiness. May those who defy it, be granted glory.
"I am Edel. You are Duck. Even as a girl, you still have many qualities of a duck. Think of it as having all your feathers plucked out."
"The name of this gem is love."

Lillie is Ahiru's other friend next to Pike who always takes a slight enjoyment from Ahiru's misery. She seems to be constantly happy even when Ahiru or Pike are both upset and always has a high pitched voice to her.
"You'll probably just keep going up and down and up and down your whole life. It's so cute I can't stand it!"
"That's right Duck! Even if I don't know what you're talking about, you can do it!"
"Come on! We have to be prepared to comfort her later."
