Pokemon Original Animation: A Cub's Crush
Project Overview
You are required to have a GOOD MICROPHONE if you want the part(none of this headset business). I'm talking condenser mic (preferably with white noise cancelled from noise removal). I would prefer if you said each line at least twice when you try out for a character. This is going to be an original animation with characters based around the pokemon universe. A Club's Crush is a Pokemon Fanfiction. Read the original story of A Club's Crush here: https://www.fanfiction.net/Cub'sCrush
A Cub’s Crush is a Pokemon fanfic story with more than eight characters having different roles in a peaceful pack. Say hello to Fenara the rebellious Fennekin, Fenray who causes her all sorts of trouble, Cheddar the enthusiastic sidekick, Jake the showoff Jolteon, Alisa who could be even worse than her brother, Shadow the Umbreon father, Eseral his contemplative wife, Tailo the indecisive leader, and many others as they all intertwine together in this never resting story. The cubs cause all the problems and the adults are always hiding their own. And for one certain Fennekin, it’s about to all go downhill when a kiss that saves her life leads to something much worse and incurable… Lovesickness.

One of the strongest cub’s in training. Competitor in the cub race against Fenara and Jake.
Profile: While Flash only holds a few lines, his attitude completely makes up for it. He’s a stubborn Pikachu in training whose age is above that of most of the cubs under Eseral’s teaching, but he’s fast, wicked, and won’t tolerate losing, snarling at anyone who dares look at him with that glimpse of competition in their eyes. He’s proven himself many times, but to a certain Fennekin, perhaps he’ll have to step up his game or lose all the pride he has worked hard for.
Key words (Most descriptive to least descriptive): competitive, show-off, stubborn, excited, fast, sore loser, unlucky...
It’s her. It’s the young cub. She’s winning, she’s winning!
Don’t take sympathy on her. I ran all the way here. I’m the fastest runner here, I deserve to win!
Married to Eseral. Father of Alisa and Jake. Tailo’s second-in-command and long time friend.
Profile: While his name may imply mystery, Shadow is actually quite friendly and helpful to those who know him well. His skills in fighting are hidden by his charisma and humorous attitude, but he carries a few secrets of his own that he dare not share with anyone except his wife or his long time friend. He’s been friends with Tailo since the beginning, and is one of the only three Pokemon to actually know what happened between Tailo and his wife. Loyal to his leader to the end, Shadow spends most of his time carrying out the duties that the Fennekin fails to perform and insists daily that his leader change his mind and get over his long time struggle with his wife. Shadow loves his own spouse, Eseral, with all his heart and tries to bring as much joy to her as possible whenever she worries about something that she shouldn’t be thinking about, but it tears him apart knowing that no matter how hard he tries, Eseral still struggles with her past and Tailo is still living in it. The experienced Umbreon has hope for brighter, less confusing days but he doesn’t show his worry to anyone, confident that his adult son, Jake, and his daughter, Alisa, will grow up in a pack that has a strong future for them both that he worked hard to build. The few nights a week that Shadow’s allowed to be alone he spends his time thinking about his family, but there are usually only two things he can conclude at the end of every long and meditative night; his love for his wife and family is worth dying for, and his loyalty to Tailo may very well cause the destruction of the entire pack.
Key Words (Most descriptive to least descriptive): Loyal, committed, compassionate, caring, carefree, skilled, humorous, tolerant, overburdened, stressed, reserved, faithful, wise...
Are you sure you’re ok? You’ve been preoccupied a lot lately.
Hey, relax, you did great today. Everyone else thought you were spectacular.
Do not talk about that! We agreed to it. We are to never bring it up again!
Fenara is a small Fennekin and one of the younger cubs in the pack, although her independent nature has her acting well above every other cubs her own age. Having lost her mother before she could remember, she usually spends her time with her best friends but is constantly worrying about the next time she’s going to cause trouble, which seems to happen a lot every time she tries to do anything in the pack. Her relationship with her father is in shambles and she’s too young to know that it’s not her own fault. Torn by her lack of confidence and over worrying mind, she takes life one problem at a time and tries to enjoy her friends’ company if they aren’t acting like complete morons all the time. She’s a heavy thinker, always finding herself in some sort of awkward predicament, mostly because she’s never paying close enough attention to her surroundings and she’s never able to let an unanswerable questions be put to rest and just fall asleep. Somewhere, somehow, she’s getting into trouble, and she’s always getting blamed for it. Fenara find herself in plenty of adventures but the worst of all of them is when a certain Fennekin saves her by the lake and her friends are all there to witness it. She can deal with the struggles in her head, and perhaps even her noisy friends, but telling her father is a whole different problem to the young Fennekin cub.
Key words (Most descriptive to least descriptive): troublemaker, over-thinker, rebellious, reserved, sassy, clever, scared, timid, curious, delicate...
Um, friends? We can’t be friends. I hardly know you!
Nobody calls me red cheeks and gets away with it, poof tail!
It’s, it’s not important, I don’t need to talk about it. I can manage just fine on my own.
Best Friend and sidekick to the protagonist Fenara.
Profile: As spastastic as a Chespin can be, if Cheddar’s got something to say, she’s gonna say it! Nothing should be whispered and everything should be yelled! Her opinions matter and her questions come out faster than her words which come out faster than her thoughts. She’s kind and well intentioned, but the adults and other cubs know not to try and understand every word that comes from her mouth or you’ll get dizzy in seconds. She will listen to your problems, but nobody's ever told her that perhaps she says just a little too much and should go at least an hour without talking. She can’t leave well enough alone, curiosity always getting the best of her, and unless she’s entertained (or entertaining a brilliant new idea) her paws will keep bouncing and her mouth will keep running. She’s best friends with Fenara only because Cheddar knows the Fennekin is the one Pokemon that will tolerate her barrage of words and listen to her every now and then. The young Chespin enjoys causing trouble just as much as she likes talking to Fenara about it, especially since her best friend is usually the one who gets in trouble for her actions anyway. Every new idea should be tested, and any adventure that she and Fenara can do together gets Cheddar thrilled and ready for adventure. Step between her relationship with best friend though, and Cheddar will have more than words to tell you to your face.
Key words (Most descriptive to least descriptive): Energetic, loud, pushy, curious, overfond of friendship, hysterical, comedic relief, sassy, emotional, easy to offend, defensive, overconfident…
Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh! I’m so excited!
Makes sense to me. He’s annoying, you’re annoying, I think I actually like him less than you!
Get off me you overgrown jerk! I’ll skin you alive when you let me free.
Sister to Jake. Daughter of Shadow and Eseral. One of Fenara’s best friends.
Profile: Alisa is absolutely the most stubborn and unpleasant Pokemon in the pack. The thick headed Eevee is smaller than most cubs her age, but what she lacks in height and with her cute appearance she makes up for in pure fighting skills. Her paws strut wherever she walks and her tail is always hitting the other cub’s faces when she comes by, as if royalty and perfection are too low of words for her own stature. She knows she’s the best in everything and anyone who doesn’t think so is quickly challenged and defeated by the surprisingly skilled cub. She doesn’t just train to show off her talent though, Alisa has a secret that only her older brother and not even her own parents know about. The young Eevee must become an Umbreon no matter how much time or effort it takes. She trains hard every night, usually against the skills of her well trained brother, taking advantage of the fact that he would do anything for her, but she can’t seem to tell her friends or even her Umbreon father about her choice to evolve. She’s scared, but the determined Eevee wants to be an Umbreon with all her heart no matter how hard she has to train for it. Her brother will always protect her, but somehow the Eevee knows that evolving is going to create more problems than even she knows. Perhaps there’s a reason why she hasn’t told her father yet, perhaps it’s more than just skill that’s making her so well trained, even undefeatable at such a young age.
Keywords (Most descriptive to least descriptive): Stubborn, headstrong, difficult, determined, nosy, cleanly, self-obsessed, egotistical, fighter, secretive, rude...
I’m Alisa, and I’m the best fighter of the entire pack, so stay out of my way!
Are you kidding? Who cares about your fur? When your fighting, that should be the last thing on your mind, you’ve got a lot to learn.
Then let’s fight! If I win, you have to hang out with me. If you win? I’ll leave you alone, forever.
Friend of Shadow.
Profile: Tailo has the most weight on his shoulders than any other character in the story. The experienced father has seen fights, struggles, broken relationships, perils, and everything that any adventurer has hoped to endure or see. His largest accomplishment is creating and managing the large pack to which he resides as leader today, but the poor father in a series of complicated events lost his wife to a consequence he knows he can’t take back. Ever since that day, to which Tailo is constantly reminded by both his daughter’s presence and his worried friend, his leadership skills have been slipping, his fur turning greyer every day, and everyone is patiently waiting for the leader to make a decision about what really happened to his wife and whether he can finally let her go. His despair shows in every one of his thoughts and actions and his relationship with his daughter, who he promised his wife he would take care of, has gone to become nothing. Tailo is the wisest of all the Pokemon in the pack, carefully choosing his words but constantly thinking about his life with no intention of changing his sad ways. He’s a tall Braixen, a very capable fighter, and often seeks the advice of his long time and more collected friend, Shadow the Umbreon, when it comes to maintaining the pack and dealing with his hidden emotions. His skills and patience are put to the test because every day Fenara grows to dislike him more and his promise to his wife keeps slipping through his paws, but the father just can’t seem to muster up the strength to get over what has happened to her, especially since he’s well aware of what part he played in her disappearance.
Key words (Most descriptive to least descriptive): Reflective, broken, authoritative, hurtful, wise, clever, collected, depressive, hopeless, reserved, alone…
No one ever speaks of my wife again, got it? Not you, not your wife, no one. I don’t ever want to hear the name Louara again.
You’re a terrible liar, tell me something I don’t know.
What did you do Fenara? I know you’ve been in trouble.
Alisa’s older brother. Son of Shadow and Eseral. Fenara’s good friend.
Profile: Jake is the oldest of the cubs in the pack, often endowed with responsibilities that only an adult could handle despite his younger age. The most athletic of all the cubs and well trained in everything fighting, Jake is a very capable fighter and treated with high regard by both Tailo and the pack. The Jolteon spends most of his time helping out his mother, Eseral, with assisting in training and teaching the cubs how to defend themselves, but if he’s not helping out around the pack then he’s off causing trouble with his sister, the one Pokemon who’s actually able to take hits from his well trained moves and understand most of his plights and random thoughts. Jake enjoys his responsibilities around the pack and also enjoys being treated like an adult, but he misses being a cub every day and is torn between hanging out with his sister, or becoming who his parents need him to be during these busy and very boring times. He’s easy to befriend and everyone who knows him well knows that he’s a complete nutjob and his laugh will scare away anything within a mile radius. Jake finds pleasure in the small things in life, like shocking his sister’s tail when no one’s looking or staying up all night to stare at the stars and create plans to embarrass his friends. The Jolteon is always laughing and smiling, but his biggest fear of growing up is fast approaching him. Despite the contradictions between his carefree heart and the busy adult’s constant need for him, there is one thing that Jake will never budge on while he’s still alive and able to fight. No one, absolutely no one, is allowed to hurt his sister.
Key words (Most descriptive to least descriptive): ecstatic, energetic, athletic, robust, sympathetic, responsible, discerning, compassionate, mature, quick-witted, obliging...
Those ears are massive! How does your head stay on your body? Do you ever fall over?
And remember Fenara, whatever you do, do NOT go upstream!
Oh really? You never stopped the whole way here? Ever?
Married to Shadow. Mother of Jake and Alisa. The pack’s teacher and is responsible for training all the cubs. One of Fenara’s most trusted friends.
Profile: Eseral spends more time thinking than she does breathing, but the amount of conclusions she reaches about her daily thoughts are few. She constantly worries or tries to make sense of things she doesn’t understand, most often found alone and thinking about the pack’s history and her experiences with Tailo and her husband, Shadow. Robbed of her most precious gift, she tries to get through each day by finding joy in teaching the young cubs or parenting her own miscreants as she learns what the pack life is really like and where she fits in as an aging teacher and a mother with nearly grown up cubs. Every day she feels a little remorse for what happened before the pack started, never able to wrap her mind around it, but every time she dares think of her past her husband Shadow comes to the rescue, and probably saves her from a long upcoming headache too. She needs her husband to remind her to believe that everything is going to be alright, and she needs her training to give her something to belong to in this new pack. The Espeon fits in well and the cubs love her and the adults trust her, but everyone quietly knows that she was there when Tailo lost his wife and things went downhill. Eseral is highly regarded by the pack and by Tailo, and she holds one of the highest responsibilities of making sure the cubs learn to defend themselves and if she’s lucky, stop causing trouble for their parents too. Her relationship with her husband is strong and she knows that she wouldn’t last a single day without Shadow cracking some wise joke or convincing her to have fun whenever she’s lost and confused. If the Espeon ever manages to find herself alone though, her thoughts wander, and she won’t ever forget the night Tailo’s wife disappeared.
Key words (Most descriptive to least descriptive): Contemplative, preoccupied, overthinker, anxious, orderly, motherly, romantic, emotional, fun, creative...
Shadow, I don’t want to talk about it. Quit bringing it up.
Agh! My fur is disgusting!
I’m an Espeon! I’m the one who’s supposed to do all the thinking.
