Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky Game w/ Voice Actors
Project Overview
A little bit of simple history first; in 2016, a YouTuber and artist who goes by Moon Boots: https://www.youtube.com/user/0MoonBoots0 put an audition process together for Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky. She wanted to do a Let’s Play of the legendary video game with voice actors for the Pokemon. I’m not Moon Boots, I’m one of the voice actors who was lucky enough to get a part. However, three episodes passed, and work, school, some actors going missing, and Skype updating their format and erasing our text channel caused the project to be cancelled back in 2017. But I’m trying to bring it back. I was already able to upload an episode back in January, and most of the major roles are already cast, but there are some new open ones, and minor characters. There are also some Pokemon the characters end up either helping out or battling during explorations, and there’s going to be actual dialogue invented by us.
Team MoonBeam needs your recruitment! Your contribution to this project will help send it off the way we were dreaming three years ago!
Also, you can audition for as many roles as you like. The more you audition for, the bigger chance of you landing at least one.
Some basic rules for auditioning:
- Have a decent mic with little to no background noise.
- Have a Discord page (this is not mandatory, but if you don’t, you need to be consistent by means of a different contact method that you need to tell me about.)
- Be willing to submit quickly when asked. I stress this; people getting too busy to do lines was what has caused huge delays in the production. But I also want you to know that if you’re confident about your voice performance, you’ll both rock and be able to submit very quickly and get it off your plate.
- When you audition, I would appreciate it if you could attach your preferred email onto your audition clip so I can easily contact you.
- Whether you get a part or not, I thank you tremendously for auditioning, and I hope all of you can have the most fun possible if and when you perform.

I would advise watching the earlier episodes for this role. The original Chatot talks in these and we're looking for someone who can give a similar performance.
Chatot is the organizer and lone faculty of the Wigglytuff Guild. He always has a lot on his plate, which causes him to lose his temper when a lot of things get piled on him. He's a little afraid to be belittled, so he tries to keep an authoritarian presence.
Also, Chatot is obviously a bird, so you'd need to give squawks and bird-like laughs.
Okay, Pokemon! Time to get to work!
Perfect Apples are the Guildmaster's favorite snack. This is a very important job. If the Guildmaster were to find out one day his stock was completely emptied, he'd...he'd...Squawk! Squaaawk! So don't mess it up!
(laugh) Hee...Ha ha! Hahahahaha! Heeeeeeeee!
Uxie is the guardian of Fogbound Lake, a land hidden by fog which is the home to a Time Gear. Uxie has the ability to wipe people's minds, making the team curious as to if Uxie had something to do with the memory loss of the main character.
For Uxie, I'm either looking for a serious male or a low female voice. Whichever one, it should also be both soothing and calm and confident.
Why have you come here? What is it you search for?
The view of Fogbound Lake is magnificent, isn't it? The treasure you're looking for...it's the beauty of the lake consistently pouring down with the beautiful glow of the Volbeat and Illumise at night.
(angry yet quiet) I knew it...

Mesprit is alongside Uxie as one of the Lake Trio Guardians. She guards one of the five Time Gears, this one hidden in a lake below quicksand in the middle of the desert.
She is known as the Being of Emotion.
Mesprit's voice will be a little higher than Uxie's, but also able to produce a feeling of justice and authority.
(angry) Why have you come here? You must leave this instant or you won't leave unscathed.
(in pain) You're...not going to get away with stealing the Time Gear!
(relaxed) I apologize for how I treated you before. When I heard about how Uxie's Groudon illusion was knocked out, and the thief beat Uxie and stole the Time Gear, I...You were my first visitors to the Quicksand Lake in a while, and with the timing of your arrival...I hope you can forgive my ruthlessness.
Azelf is the final member of the Guardian Lake Trio opposite Uxie and Mesprit. Azelf is known as the Being of Willpower. He guards a hidden lake inside Crystal Cave that holds a Time Gear, the last one to be attempted to be stolen.
Azelf is smart and quiet, and is willing to admit when things are very bad and something radical must be done.
(in pain): No, Grovyle...You'll never take it...Never...
These are very serious times. With these Time Gear thefts, I feel as if we all now have to be on constant alert. I hope it can end soon.
(proud): Grovyle won't be able to make it through to the Time Gear with those crystals enshrouded. And with it being so difficult, plus the giant bounty on his head, there must be some way to ensure his capture!
Kangaskhan is the owner of Kangaskhan Storage in Treasure Town. Team MoonBeam often goes to her to get stuff. As a parent, she loves many of the Pokemon she encounters.
Kangaskhan's voice should be low and cheerful.
Hello, my dears! Do please be careful!
Being a parent is a true joy in life, as well as knowing my storage is keeping your items safe.
There is a large group of Sableye accompanying Dusknoir, a protagonist turned antagonist when truths are revealed. They are "Master" Dusknoir's henchmen and spies. They're sly and evil.
Sableye's voice should be reminiscent of the Pokemon anime's Meowth, though a bit more conniving.
Yes, Master Dusknoir, sir!
You two are coming with us, and we will cut you down to size at the slightest resistance.
Hee-hee-hee...We're gonna catch you, and when we do, you're answering to our grand and terrifying Master Dialga!
Tangela is a side character Team MoonBeam meets up with twice. The first time, he is a fugitive for stealing a busload of items and forging checks, greedy and unable to help himself. He gets eventually defeated and captured, but a few episodes later, he returns as in need of rescuing at Waterfall Cave. Team MoonBeam is able to rescue him and they end up on good terms.
Tangela has a variety of emotions throughout, sometimes sleazy, sometimes guilty and another time regretful.
(scared) I didn’t mean to forge those checks, or replace all the Reviver Seeds with Doom Seeds…
Ack! Fine, try to catch me, copheads! I've had to wiggle my way out of some powerhouses yards taller than you lot!
(sad) I messed up. I realize that. And now I really need your help, Team MoonBeam!
Chingling has two appearances in the series. The first time, she's a wanted outlaw who made off with a Slumber Orb owned by a Lileep, because she felt she needed more sleep and the Kecleon Brothers had their costs too expensive, and she simply felt she needed it the most.
The second instance, after she's able to separately get a good enough amount of sleep, Team MoonBeam finds her in need of help to escape a dungeon, and she needs a Rawst Berry delivered because of allergies to Oran Berries and Rawst Berries being her proper way of regaining health.
Chingling will probably be best with a high female voice, and can sound both shameless and shameful.
I need that Slumber Orb, and if the Kecleon Brothers want to charge that much so I can get some proper sleep, then you should blame overly lenient pricing laws, not me.
(sad and hungry): Hey guys. Yeah, I was the one who sent the request out. I need your help. I know that Slumber Orb fiasco was wrong of me. I'm trying to get better.
Aerodactyl becomes the guardian of Tangela, a thief that turns remorseful. Many people are frightened of Aerodactyl but he tries to break the norms and be a nice person (er, pterodactyl).
At the moment, he only has one appearance.
Aerodactyl has a rough gravelly masculine voice.
Hello, Team MoonBeam. I am Aerodactyl, Tangela’s new guardian. I’m going to be looking after him for a while.
A lot of people are scared of me, but I try not to take it personally.
Despite her appearance, Corsola is a criminal, and obnoxious about it. She runs into Team MoonBeam on two different occasions, being gleeful about the crimes she has been able to get away with and the bad guys she's defeated.
Corsola should have the voice of someone innocent turned heartless and greedy.

I have a life of leisure in crime, and you're gonna get pretty hurt for trying to interfere!
I've trained a lot since we last met. And that Officer "Hag"nezone knows it!
Weedle requests Team MoonBeam take him on an adventure through Waterfall Cave, because the way he is, he was unable to enter the entrance through the Waterfall, so he needed someone to protect him. And as Kakuna and Beedrill, he wouldn't have been any better off. Weedle is very sweet and talkative.
For now, Weedle has only one appearance, but there's a chance he will have one other.
Weedle's voice should be similar to how Weedle sounds in the Pokemon anime, like he would be a brainiac if he could talk.
You guys must never get bored, exploring everywhere you want.

Spiritomb is a Pokemon Team MoonBeam meets in the future. He's an example of a Pokemon gone mental from the planet's paralysis, angry and demented and willing to lash out at anyone who disrupts him. He attacks Grovyle and Team MoonBeam. He only has one appearance.
Spiritomb should have a raspy, slimy conniving cartoon villain voice.

Absol is a wanted outlaw who has a Monster House army behind him. He has only one appearance so far.
Absol should probably have a deep voice, and seem ready for anything, like a slummer.

You know how Absol has a reputation for bringing danger? I really endorse that rumor. And when I'm done with you, you'll be crying to Chansey and Kangaskhan for sippy cups.
Volbeat is a wanted outlaw who has a Monster House army behind her. She has managed to establish an army that is the perfect combination of confusing enemies or putting them to sleep, and so she has been able to not only avoid capture but defeat Officer Magnezone. She does not expect anyone to beat her but is excited by battle. She only has one appearance so far.
Volbeat should have a generally low queen voice.

My Confuse Ray is so powerful, there's about a 75% chance you'll end up hitting your partner, not me or anyone else.
(yawn) So weak...
Shellos ended up having a Big Apple stolen from him by a Doduo, and he is generally poor and that Pokemon has been stealing lots from him lately. He is an innocent kid.
The Shellos is the eastern, blue one, and I was thinking that one should have a male kid's voice (a girl can audition for this too, of course), but if you're able to also provide a female kid's voice, a bigger chance you'll get this part, because a pink female Shellos might appear in the series later too.

Hoppip is a Pokemon that ends up getting lost inside Waterfall Cave alongside her older brother in her foster family, Exeggutor. Hoppip currently has only one appearance, and may have another in the future. Hoppip is caring, and grateful.
Hoppip has a teen girl's voice.
I need your help finding my sibling. An Exeggutor. I come from a foster family of two-way Grass Pokemon.
