Project Overview
Auditions are re-opened again until the end of November for both sides of the chorus, Kekata, and the two Native American warriors.
To audition, please ONLY submit your demo reel by November 30th, 2018. If you have a singing demo reel, please use that, if not, please use your regular voice acting demo reel. If you do not have ANY demo reel, you can just upload a clip of you singing any 2 lines of "Savages" from Pocahontas. Feel free to audition for as many of the available role(s) as you are interested in -- you can choose one, some or all to try out for, but I will of course do my best to spread the roles out!

The first round of auditions is over as of the end of September -- all solo & duet roles have either been cast and confirmed or at least offered, pending acceptance by the people cast. However, I would still love to have more voices in the chorus! I have re-opened auditions for the chorus roles until the end of October 21st.
If any of the pending roles are declined, I will make a project update to notify everyone that one or more roles is available again. But for now, it is only the chorus.

This is an unpaid project.
This will be a song cover/political parody of "Savages" from Disney's Pocahontas with new lyrics written by me, and will be uploaded to my YouTube channel. (My first Disney group song cover has had over 3,600 views and counting to date.) Although there WILL be terms like "snowflake" and "nazi" in the lyrics, they're included for the same reason racially offensive lyrics were included in Disney's original version -- in other words, this song is meant to promote the idea that these extremist political views & insults are harmful on BOTH sides. EVERYONE will definitely get a chance to see the FULL lyrics before deciding whether you are comfortable participating in this project! :) Absolutely NO violence will be shown on-screen, either -- although I may show things like statues being pulled down, and/or clips from protests AGAINST violence.
I'm not sure what else to say about the project, but if you have any questions at all, or even a tiny concern, please don't hesitate to ask me about it! :)
RULES:
1. The deadline for auditions is Sunday, September 30th, 2018. I won't cast anyone before the deadline, and I will make a casting decision and/or extend the deadline if needed no later than Friday, October 5th.
2. I NEED to hear your singing voice WITHOUT music, so I can hear you properly. :) If you want to use music in your audition, just make sure to also upload a copy with no music.
3. You can audition for as many roles as you want, but aside from the chorus I will *try* to spread out roles as much as possible!
4. Please make sure to sing your words as clearly as possible. This is the number one criteria, even before singing ability, acting ability, OR mic quality.

This role has, by far, the most solo lines in the song -- however, acting ability will be weighed at least as heavily as singing ability! I am looking for a powerful delivery of the lines. I imagine a male singer/actor for this role, but female singers/actors with low-pitched and forceful voices will also be strongly considered.

As the title character from the movie, and neutral party, this is an important singing role. Pocahontas' singer will also be responsible for singing the solo that will play during the end credits of the video. There are no spoken lines for Pocahontas in this project, so the focus is on singing for this role. However, the ability to convey emotion through singing is also important. I imagine a female singer for this role, but male singers will also be considered if you have the right voice range to match Pocahontas' original singer!

If not, then it will ONLY be the one acted line required and no singing will be involved. Although the original character in the movie is male, gender does not matter for this role!
