Persona 3 & 4 Voices Needed
Project Overview
Emerald here again with another casting call. This time for the Persona 3 & 4 cast at once. Beat both of their games recently, absolutely loved them, and now I wanna make videos based on them. Got a lot of ideas, and I’m very excited to make them a reality.
All videos made will be uploaded to the YouTube channel, https://youtube.com/@emeraldemuto?si=XJoLMoXA4g8m5xSs
Some basic rules for the project
1. Good quality audio. Not asking for perfectly perfect industry pro audio or anything, but just decent quality, with as little background noise as possible.
2. Workload will vary by script. Some voices will be used more than others.
3. All communications will be through Discord.
4. Voice references have been provided for each character in their description, if you don’t know what they sound like.
5. The impression doesn’t have to be perfect, just something that fits the character well.
6. Live session recordings are preferred, but not a requirement.
7. Sample lines have been provided, but really send in any lines you want. They're just there in case you can’t come up with anything or prefer an example.
8. If you have previous experience voicing these characters, feel free to send the previous audio files as an audition. And if you have clips of you voicing as that character in a video, feel free to send them to me.
9. Up to 3 takes on each line, preferably not more than that.
Thanks for reading! Looking forward to hearing your audition!

“In Persona 3, he is a silent protagonist, aside from technically speaking in battle in certain instances. While being a silent protagonist, he is very stoic, reserved and calm, gathered by the fact that he's faced death and his own mortality; he remains unmoved when walking under a green sky and being surrounded by blood pools and coffins everywhere at the beginning of Persona 3 or even when guns are pointed at him (such as by Aigis herself).”
“He appears very introverted, distant and aloof since he only observes the conversations of his party members and only speaks when someone is directed at him for his opinion on the matter.”
Voice Example
Putting a gun to your head and pulling the trigger. What’s the worst that could happen?
Are you telling me this is some sort of, Persona 3 Reload + Episode Aigis DLC?
Come forth, Orpheus! Burn my bread!
“Unlike the male protagonist or Megami Tenseiprotagonists in general, she is very bubbly, funny, upbeat and cheerful. Her dialogue choices exhibit a broad spectrum of emotions, ranging from sarcasm, joking tones, utter seriousness and otherwise depending on the player's choice. She is outspoken, blunt and literal when responding and getting her points across.”
“She is a sharp contrast to the male protagonist who is very reserved and concise where she, on the other hand, is not afraid to interject into conversations where her male counterpart would remain silent. In addition, she is more likely to resort to violence when provoked, especially in defense of her friends, as seen in her Hermit Social Link.”
Voice Example
Man, I’m so glad Atlus puts me in every Persona 3 related game!….What?….What?!
Forehead plus gun equals power that rivals the gods!
People ask me how I deal with my depression. Well the answers simple! I lie to myself. Every second of every day.
“Yukari's Arcana is the Lovers, which focuses on balanced, connected relationships with others and important choices; as such, her personality and story revolve mainly around her relationships. She is very popular in Gekkoukan High due to her pretty looks and cheery, positive outlook on life. However, her kindness has its limits, as she's prone to mood swings and getting annoyed over trivial things, often expressing this annoyance with sarcasm.”
“Despite her cheerful exterior, Yukari is secretly a very lonely girl. Although she deeply values bonds and relationships with others, she's afraid of letting anyone get too close to her with fear that they'll find out about her traumatic past.”
Voice Example
I’m a girl, I like pink, and my Arcana is the Lovers Arcana. You can see where this is going.
Let’s dance! I’ll whip up a hurricane!
I’m not suicidal, I just shoot myself in the head. There’s a difference
“Junpei is usually portrayed as goofy, perverted, immature and upbeat. He fancies himself a ladies' man and frequently tries to hit on girls, with little to no success. Despite this, he is capable of being kind and caring, and he often cracks jokes and calls people "dude" to make them feel better."
"Later, it is revealed that Junpei's "class clown" persona is largely a facade to hide his deep insecurities; as far as he's concerned, fighting is the only thing he's ever been good at, and he hates that there's someone better than him at even that (the protagonist).”
Voice Example
The Junpei trains leaving the station!
Can’t stop, won’t stop!
Just call me Critical Hit Junpei!
“A cool and well-respected upperclassman, Akihiko is serious and determined, while also cracking small jokes on occasion. Of all the members of the group, he is the most prone to sarcasm; one instance being if the protagonist talks to him while he and Junpei are taking a break from studying for first semester midterms, where he will state that Junpei isn't studying for his exams as Mitsuru told everyone to go back to their routines. He tends to show excitement for a big challenge, something that eventually rubs off on Junpei. He is eager to train and fight, often to a fault.”
“Akihiko also has an aggressive side, which he usually demonstrates when dealing with Shadows. He never gives up and always tries to get stronger in order to protect what is dear to him.”
Voice Example
Let’s give ‘em the 1 2 punch!
I call forth the thunder! Obliterate my foes!
If a boxer boxes a box, did the boxer botch the box?
Mitsuru is calm, confident, mature, responsible, wise and very intelligent despite being a high school student. However, she may be interpreted as slightly arrogant, conceited, cold-hearted or overconfident. As events unfold, this may be a front of maturity, due to her assumed role as the leader of SEES.
Her sheltered upbringing and wild imagination often cause misunderstandings. Mitsuru is shown to be quite awkward when dealing with normal social situations and can be rather shy at times, as she blushes when complimented by Yukari and Fuuka,
Voice Example
My name is Mitsuru Kirijo. Nice to meet you. I look forward to making you do stuff you don’t want to do.
I’ll freeze them to their very core!
I’m just like any other high school girl. Rich beyond anybody’s wildest dreams, and the heir to one of the biggest companies in the world. Is that not normal?
“Despite his young age, Ken is very intelligent and mature. It is shown that this is a coping mechanism due to the death of his mother at a young age, which more-or-less forced him to give up his childhood. His maturity is noted by Yukari, who can't believe he's in elementary school and claims that Junpei, who is a full six years older than him, could learn a thing or two from him. Fuuka also notes his maturity, and finds him cute as a result of it. Besides being mature, Ken also says several words that boys his age don't usually use, such as "bastard," which he usually uses when referring to Strega.”
“Although especially idealistic, his tragedy with his mother's death torments him in maintaining his sense of justice and the reason to live it belies for him: at first, he considers suicide, but eventually forgoes that and responds with a drive for revenge.”
Voice Example
The names Ken Amada. I hope we can get along, and I definitely don’t plan to shoot you.
Hey Shinji, I just have one question. What the dog do?
Come forth Nemesis! Unleash the light of justice!
“Aigis' initial personality is simply a robot designed to obey orders, although she is drawn to the protagonist and states that it is very important for her to be by his side, going so far as to hug them in front of everyone. She is prone to doing very strange and socially unacceptable things, such as breaking into the protagonist's room to wake him up and requesting to be on standby in their room, which Yukari calls her out for.”
“Toward the end of December, after being repaired by the Kirijo Group, Aigis' simulated computer software personality (artificial intelligence) develops human emotions, and she becomes compassionate and loyal to her friends, though she struggles to fully understand her new emotions.”
Voice Example
Why do you wish for me to say ‘Beep Boop’? Is that something human beings do?
I believe we should try and resolve this problem peacefully and without bloodshed. And if that doesn’t work, then we mow those bitches down.
Since I’m the Persona 3 Reload protagonist now, does that mean I have to die? That does not sound “Radical Cool” as the kids say.
“A reliable and serious character whose cold exterior masks his weaker, gentler self, Shinjiro's difficult past weighs him down, causing him to constantly push others away with a tough-guy act. Ever since accidentally causing the death of Ken's mother, he has given up being a member of SEES to live a normal life, even though there are only so many Persona-users and so SEES needs all the help they can get, something even Yukari, who has no love for SEES or the Dark Hour, has the sense to realize.”
“In Persona 3 Portable, via the female protagonist's Moon Social Link, the player is able to see the most of Shinjiro. Progressively, he is revealed to be a kind and caring person, always worrying after the other members of SEES.”
Voice Example
The names Shinjiro Aragaki, and I totally stay alive for the entire game.
Castor! Destroy my enemies!
So you’re saying I only stay alive when the protagonist is female? Fucking bullshit, that’s what that is.
“Elizabeth is cheery, inquisitive, friendly, silly, humorous, easily excited and fun-loving. She serves Igor and takes responsibility of her duty in the Velvet Room. Elizabeth's tendencies to act on impulse and to not take dangerous things and situations seriously often results in either baffling or even enraging (often the enemy) those involved in the crisis with her surprisingly cool demeanor.”

My name is Elizabeth, and I am best girl. No contest.
I summoned Persona with cards BEFORE it was cool, thank you very much.
Aww, you think you’ve won the battle? That’s cute. *Clears throat* Megidolaon!!!
“In Persona 4, he is generally a silent protagonist, as in the series tradition. Except for instances where he audibly speaks when summoning a Persona and so on, with his personality ultimately based on the player's actions and decisions. This is emphasized in Persona 4 Golden, as the Investigation Team Members comment on how he doesn't talk much when equipped with the Butler Suit."
"The general personality that may be picked up from his behavior is that although he's calm and neutral, he's outgoing and caring towards his friends, and he has a freedom of a sense of humor along with occasional flirtatious or silly behavior.”
Voice Example
Persona 4 Golden for the PC!...So when do I get paid for this?
Come, Izanagi! Help me kill Adachi!
No Nanako, you can’t live in Junes. I don’t care how catchy the song is.
“At first Yosuke seems extremely considerate and cheery, but that would be a facade in his fear of being alone. Following his confrontation with his Shadow, Yosuke would become more honest with himself as to protect his friends: rather, he would normally come across as insensitive or an outright jerk and unintentionally insulting someone.”
“He tends to be a bit of a wannabe ladies' man and has a fascination for girls, forcing the girls to enter a beauty pageant. But beneath most of that (more so in the original game), he shows great insight with decent deducing, and is often on task with the situation at hand, and can be very serious at times. He also tends to keep a good face in order to make sure the team is in their best spirits and he cares a lot about the protagonist, as well as having a strong sense of justice.”
Voice Example
I’m just saying partner, we could TOTALLY make a career out of grinding money in the TV World.
The names Yosuke Hanamura! Your bro friend for this Persona game!
Chie, can you please stop kicking me in the shins for 5 seconds!
“Chie is energetic and outgoing, the "extrovert" compared to Yukiko being the "introvert." She has a bright and upbeat personality, often trying to cheer up the group by joking about the case. She can be somewhat short tempered, especially with Yosuke, and is slow to back down from a challenge.”
“Chie has a strong sense of justice and a fierce desire to protect others. She is willing to defend strangers from being threatened and attacked by local delinquents. Even when outnumbered, she does not hesitate to intervene and speak out.”
Voice Example
Chies the name, abusing Yosukes my game!
Don’t mess with me, or you get the galactic punt!
There’s a Persona fighting game?! Sign me up!
“Yukiko is a reserved, soft-spoken and shy girl, having been raised at an early age to be a prim and proper lady of traditional Japanese customs. At school, she is known for scoring well on exams, earning top grades in her class and often studying the material with her best friend since early childhood, Chie Satonaka.”
“Selfless and supportive, Yukiko does not hesitate to risk her life to save or protect those in need, even if she gains nothing out of it. She also deeply values her hometown and vows to become a strong, dependable person so that one day she in turn will be able to support and protect her town and her people, just like they have graciously done for her.”
Voice Example
My name is Yukiko Amagi, and I love arson.
Huh? What do you mean I shouldn’t set fire to gasoline? What’s the worst that could happen?
Come forth, AMATERASU! Burn anyone who gives the inn a bad review!
“Kanji seems to be a delinquent who was strong enough to fight a biker gang in middle school, earning him a town-wide reputation of wildness and toughness. Kanji is a genuinely level-headed guy in spite of all that.] The context of Kanji's actions comes from taking care of bad people with his own hands, normally warding off actual bullies and delinquents with his own hands.”
“Kanji grew up with a family that is extremely open-minded and spiritual of the meaning of things, often blurting out spiritual concepts such as "Cloth is alive" or "Dyes are one with the universe," which made Kanji far more thoughtful to an emotional scale. Because of that, although he's grown up masculine, he has a more feminine side, especially prominent in his hobbies.”
Voice Example
Yeah, I like knitting. What’s it to ya asshole?!
So while everyone gets an actual weapon, I have to smack people with chairs? HELL YEAH!
The hell do you mean I’m a Bi-Disaster?! I’m always efficient when I buy things!!!
“Rise is cheerful, outspoken, naughty and cute. Though she is quite boastful about herself, she is very sweet deep down. She is referred to as a "dangerous girl" by Chie Satonaka, due to her boldness in flirting with the protagonist, and her teasing of Yosuke Hanamura and Kanji Tatsumi. Rise is quickly annoyed by the smallest things, which ends up with her crying dramatically, and sometimes producing crocodile tears. She's rather childish and possessive; she once pouted and told the protagonist he mustn't call another girl "cute."
“Despite having a mischievously playful side while with her friends and offering a lot of sass to back it up for it, she is also very passionate about them and is always there to lend them a hand. It should also be noted that if her friends are in danger, Rise will do whatever it takes to make sure they are safe, as seen in Persona 4 Arena Ultimax, joining the fray in an effort to find and save her friends.”
Voice Example
The star Risette is here to put on a show!
PERSONA! Now, let me tell you the weaknesses you already know!
Fan-service? I’m not used for fan-service! Now excuse me while I go show off my bikini in the opening cutscene!
“Being a textbook mascot character: Teddie is usually bubbly and cute and is known to lighten the mood when investigating the case, much like Chie. Possibly due to being a Shadow unfamiliar with the human world, or perhaps due to being a cartoon bear, Teddie has a lot of childish naivety, innocence and is pure of heart. He does not know a lot of human customs, does not know what "scoring a hot stud" means or what a "manwhore" is.[4] This results in him having a lack of social boundaries, such as when he flirts with Chie and Yukiko, although he fails every time.”
“After slowly facing himself and his confusion surrounding not knowing who he is, Teddie becomes more curious of the real world and begins to be genuinely impressive with his personality even if slowly. Aside from growing a human body, he does develop a charisma and a witty way of speaking that reflects his personality, making him a kind of a prankster.”
Voice Example
Don’t worry friends! Teddie’s here to save the day!
Let me know if these puns start to get unBEARable! Hahaha!
Grrr! You shouldn’t make bears mad! OR WE GET BEARY UPSET!
“Living alone with his daughter, Dojima is shown to be a hard-working detective, although he often becomes a workaholic. Adachi notes that he is a particularly harsh supervisor to him, but Dojima is a seasoned detective and takes his job seriously and is merely training Adachi for their line of work. While he loves his daughter, he has difficulty being a father to her, especially in wake of his wife's death, whom he states that Nanako resembles in both appearance and personality. His wife's death weighs on him heavily and he is obsessed with catching her killer, even at the expense of spending time with his daughter.”
“According to the events of his Social Link, Dojima did not understand the true meaning of "family" until the protagonist arrived, further pointing out the familial problems of the Dojimas. Should the protagonist progress his Social Link as well as Nanako's, these familial problems can be amended and Dojima becomes more involved in Nanako's life.”
Voice Example
Hm? Drinks after work? Sure, I got nothing waiting for me at home.
How can I neglect my child, when half the time I forget I have a child? Check and mate.
Adachi, please stop getting black out drunk on the job. It’s not very helpful.
“Margaret is a professional and quiet individual and is significantly more mature than her younger siblings Elizabeth, Theodore and Lavenza, although she shares Elizabeth's sense of humor. However, she does show an angry side to her in Persona Q when Theodore accidentally gets her hair wet and in Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth when Caroline and Justine had a fusion accident.”
Voice Example
I am Margaret, the most mature of all the velvet room siblings. And if they say otherwise, they’re fucking liars.
Oh, sorry. Your compendium is only at 99%. Better luck in new game plus.
Allow me to, kick thine ass, in Persona 4 Arena Ultimax.
