Danganronpa: Pento is a audio-type Danganronpa fan project. The story consists of 16 students trapped within a specially built school and tasked with killing each other. Directed by cloverfish (slothislazy), we are not directly affiliated with Spike Chunsoft or the Danganronpa Franchise.

The age limit for this project is 16+, when auditioning, please state your name, age (if you're a minor and uncomfortable with stating age, you can simply say minor.) Please state discord username as discord is required for this project. This currently is a short-term role, but you may be asked to come back in the near future. Please read lines in ABCABC order.

Kobayashi finds himself trapped within piles of books. He's always been focused on his academics, it takes out time for him to socialize and make friends. Kobayashi doesn't always pick up on social cues and can come off as a prick sometimes, he's very awkward and anxious. He has a soft, medium to deep voice, he constantly sounds like he's on edge.
"Did you know you're more likely to have a stroke on a Monday rather on any other day?"
"I-I really didn't see him though, the last time I saw him was when we were all at dinner."
"I use to to think that I was weird, but then I learned people like that demon guy exist. Don't even get me started on the cosplayer, I don't understand how you can have such a fixation with a character you know doesn't exist."
Shihori has not discovered what a joke is yet. She's the tutor that gets hired when grades really start to slip. No excuses, no fun, straight to business. Outside of her work, she's less condescending. She might actually laugh at something. Shihori takes pride in holding people accountable, maybe not the friend you want, but the one you might need.
Shihori requires a large range in emotional capacity, please note before applying.
Her voice is very nonspecific, a soft voice will do. Think of an english teacher.
"If you want any chance of getting out of here, then maybe it's best to listen to me."
"Can you prove this is a square? No, not because it looks like a square, an actual, mathematical reason why this figure you're looking at is a square. (Pause) If I wanted to teach shapes, I'd be a kindergarten teacher."
"Somebody must've tampered with it while I was away, I took all the proper safety procedures. This couldn't have happened naturally."
Tensei is a shut-in. The only time he (willingly) goes outside is so he can go to work. He only works so he can blast his paycheck on cosplays and in-game currency. Despite this, Tensei doesn't completely lack social skills and is somewhat pleasant to talk to. He loves to go online to talk with his friends about his favorite games and topics, he can and will argue with you if he doesn't agree with what you're saying.
Higher male voice, normal sounding. (Take that as you will.)
"I think my Azusa cosplay is my favorite, there wasn't one available so I had to have one commissioned. Costed me nearly a grand."
"It tastes a little funny, but I think I'll be fine."
"Nah, Maelle was meta for a while, but then the developers dropped Ema and it kicked her out the meta. Ema is literally just a better Maelle in every single way, higher DPS, more HP, better support capabilities, and Ema's ultimate is wayyy better. Every patch, Ema keeps getting microbuffs that keep making her more and more busted and honestly, I think someone on the dev team has a crush on her."
Yuka is extremely sweet and caring, if you can find her that is. She doesn't like going outside that often, you'll most likely find her in her room planning something for her next stream. Yuka loves to have everything planned out before time because she is horrible at improvising. She works very hard as her own independent streamer, and she won't let anything stop her.
Yuka's voice should be on the higher side, she should still sound bubbly.
She will require a wide emotional range, please take note before applying.
"Oh my gosh, my microphone was muted this whole time (laugh). Welcome back my little munchkins, I can't believe it's been a week since my last stream. I must've forgotten how to be a streamer (laugh). I promise there's a reason I've been gone, I have big things planned.
"But there's no way they got from the dorms to the kitchen and then went to the auditorium without anyone seeing them."
"In hindsight, it probably wasn't a good idea. But in the moment, it sounded like plausible."
Kotori is what happens when the law fails. She does not consider anything except her own input on what she thinks is right or wrong, and you don't want to be wrong in her eyes. Outside of that, she's probably the best friend you can ask for.
Kotori sounds like a lower pitched female, on the older side.
Kotori is a very vulgar person, please be aware before applying.
"I don't care who did it, when I find out, I'm gonna beat their ass. Whether it's you, or any of the other freak shows in here."
"I don't like how you're trying to tell me to do shit, you think you have superiority over me? Go fuck yourself."
"You might as well drag me down to hell with her then."
Kanamitsu could not care less, you can't know the true meaning behind his words by taking them at face value. He comes off as sarcastic and a bit rude. The only thing that Kanamitsu takes pride in is his work as an artist, but again, he refuses to work for anyone full-time because having a boss sounds like too much work.
Kanamitsu voice is masculine, but monotone. A black voice actor would be preferred.
"Do you want the honest answer or the answer you want to hear?"
"It makes my brain hurt whenever I think about it so I try not to."
"You want my thoughts on it? (pause) I don't have any, just do what you think would work the best and let me know how it goes."
Natsuka has been around camera's all her life. Arrogance comes with fame, Natsuka is bratty, can't stand being told no, and thinks everyone is below her. Unless you feel like enabling every action she takes, she's horrible to talk to.
Natsuka's voice is very high pitched, carries the popular girl accent. Think of the most annoying girl you know.
Natsuka requires a very large emotional range, please be aware before applying.
"Why are all of you mad at me?! I wouldn't even know who any of you losers are if I wasn't trapped here with you!"
"She tries too hard to talk sense into me, I don't need any talking though. I'm perfect the way I am."
"I don't even know what to do! They just told me to investigate, but I don't even know what I'm supposed to be looking for. Do they want me to start sticking my hands down trashcans? Should I be climbing into the roof for evidence? This is so fucking stupid!"
Natsu is upbeat and one of the sweetest boys you'll ever meet. Once you get him started on the topic of nature, he'll never stop. Although, he's not the sharpest tool in the shed, his compassion makes up for it tenfold.
Natsu's voice is a higher pitched male, up for your interpretation.
"This place feels really dystopian, I haven't seen anything green my whole time being here. Now that I think about it, I haven't seen any windows either."
"What if she just needs time for herself? I'm sure she's not mad at you, but she just wants to be alone right now."
"When I lived with my grandparents, I found a four-leaf clover in their backyard. I still have it in my house, I keep it as a sign of good luck."
Kinji is complicated. He started his business from the ground, he credits his success to all the hard work he and only himself put in. He refuses to talk to anyone he views as inferior, inferior being anyone who he believes doesn't work hard at all. He becomes a little more pleasurable to talk to when he likes you, but he still is insufferable.
Kinji has a higher pitched male voice, interpret as you will.

"I wish I was born rich so I could sit on my lazy ass and do nothing all day like her, but I didn't get that luxury."
"Shoo, I don't want to talk to you, go find someone else.
"I'm glad I met you, you're the only one who actually knows what it feels like to go through something."
One word: LOUD. She's very passionate and has a bunch of energy. Kiyou loves to socialize with people, and misses out on the opportunity to make a friend. Introverted, extroverted, she doesn't care. She shines brighter than the sun.
Kiyou has a high pitched voice, very full of optimism. It should sound like you're yelling whenever you talk.
"Umm, my name is Katsuki Kiyou, and my talent is that I'm really flexible!"
"I-I'm sorry, I didn't mean to."
"Okay okay, I'll make it the best performance you've ever seen in your life! Are you looking?!"
Miharu is full of bad ideas, she acts first and asks questions later. She'll do anything for an adrenaline rush. Outside of actively putting her life in danger, she is very laidback and a go with the flow type of person. Miharu is confident that nothing can hurt her, she can be very convincing and sometimes pushy to get people to do things.
Miharu has a feminine medium-low voice, laidback and a bit on the older then the rest of the students (early 20s.)
You don't necessarily need a large emotional range, but be able to cry while recording.
An adult is preferred.
"Where would you be in life if you didn't take any risks though?"
"It was just supposed to be a fun little get together, if I knew this would happened because of it, I wouldn't have even had the thought."
"Has anyone ever told you that you're a headache? I feel like my head is going to explode listening to you speak."
Keishi is a smartass. Whenever he enters a room, he automatically assumes nobody else is half as smart as he is. Despite this, Keishi is very quick to anger. He takes offense to anything that remotely insults his intelligence. Keishi is nicer to people he believes is below him, since he believes there's nothing they can do to him that he can't see coming.
Keishi has a medium-high male voice, he sounds nerdy but shouldn't sound like the stereotypical nerdy guy.
Be ready to yell, with the occasional crying. Keishi is also very vulgar.
"I would've seen that though! Unless you're going to tell me that I just fucking walked past."
"She can be as loud as she damn wants dude, aslong as she's not yelling at me I don't care.
"Okay so, are you just gonna stand there or are you gonna let me walk past so I can actually get a good look at it?"
Tamayo is basically your mother. She loves taking care of other people even if it comes at her own expense. She is intelligent, confident, and loves to talk. Tamayo is great with children, her voice is soothing enough to have even the rowdiest of kids calm down. Her friends accidentally call her "mom" from time to time.
Tamayo has a medium-low pitch voice, she should sound calming. She is the 2nd oldest second in the cast (23)
An adult is preferred.

"Don't worry one bit! Doctor Tamayo is here to save the day!"
"My trick to working with children? You have to put yourself in the mind of a child. Think about what you would like if it was you, and see how that works out!"
"Why can't we both calm down? We're all trapped here, together. Arguing about every mild inconvenience isn't going to get us anywhere!"
Sosuke lacks confidence in himself, he tries to avoid responsibility because he doubts he could do it. The only thing he has confidence is, is his ability to put on a good show. He tries to motivate people so they don't feel the same way he does about himself.
Sosuke has a deep voice, sounds a bit depressed.
"If it makes you feel better, I definitely can't do half of what you did. I don't think anyone here could."
"Tamayo asked me to help her with breakfast, I'm still thinking about how I'm going to tell her no."
"You can hear through the dorm walls if you listen hard enough, so I come here. I don't even think rest of them know this place exist, makes it the perfect quiet spot."
Matsuko is very mysterious. She rarely talks and is generally not around. Whenever Matsuko talks, her voice is barely above a whisper. She mainly does work for horror movies, which she seems to enjoy. Matsuko sometimes gets caught staring and sneaking around corners.
Matsuko has a medium-high voice, you should sound like you're whispering whenever you talk (It should still be audible though.)
"... I was in my dorm, the entire day. Are you happy?"
"I tried talking to her once, but I got scared and ran off. She probably think I'm a weirdo now."
"He follows me around and tries to talk to me, I don't understand what he sees in me honestly.
Masato can see things that others can't... according to him. Masato tells people that he can talk to spirits, if you're lucky, you can catch him talking to himself (or the spirits?). He cannot give you a straight answer on how to exorcise a demon, and Masato gets really defensive when you confront him about it. You didn't hear this from me, but he MIGHT be a fraud.
Masato has a high pitched male voice.
"They might be persuasive, but you can't give in. That's how they get you, you can't consider anything they say."
"Not all spirits are bad spirits, sometimes they just need a proper sendoff."
"I-I'm scared alright! That place is dark as hell! Tell someone else to go down there, like, like Kanamitsu! He doesn't care!
One mean ass owl, he pops up every once in a while to mess around with the students and then leaves. Very sarcastic and does not take this game seriously. Hates their counterpart MonoDove.
MonoOwl has a deep voice. Can be played by either gender
"I'm very sorry for the incompetence of MonoDove, if this was handled by me, I would've made it a million times better."
"Please make your way to your podium, I don't have all day."
"Oh well, I didn't like her anyways. Something about her always ticked me off.
Nicer of the two counterparts, you're more likely to see MonoDove flying around than MonoOwl. MonoDove is nice enough to have a conversation with, but not nice enough to not host a killing game. MonoDove is also a bit stupid. Hates their counterpart MonoOwl.
MonoDove has a high voice, can be played be either gender.
"I wish MonoOwl was nicer, then maybe we could actually get along."
"The new area is open, but nobody is exploring it. I thought they were supposed to get excited when a new area opens.
"Dooo you like it? It's a personalized workstation! All for you! I made it myself."
Role that appears in the prologue.
Deep voice, smoothing. Male.
"Please state your name and occupation for the record."
"Interesting, and I assume this job takes you all over Japan?"
"Okay, this isn't going to work out. Guards!"
Dr. Gregor appears at the end of chapters to announce the execution, and rant about how much she hates the students and her co-workers.
Any female will do.
"Today was... interesting, if I had to put it in words. Today, Student 18 broke into Student 20's dorm, and bashed them with a baseball bat."
"Sloppy kill, and even sloppier execution. Seriously, who thinks of these?"
"Hopefully the next kill will be better, I waited so long for something to happen and I got THAT! Downright disgraceful."

(stern) "You wanna explain it to me Miyoshi? Don't even think about lying cause you're a horrible liar."
