Project Overview
Penpal (story by Dathan Auerbach) follows an unnamed protagonist as he is stalked from kindergarten into his teen years by a menacing maniac. An innocent request for a penpal led to years of stalking, an attempted kidnapping, unexplained disappearances and, even, murder. Penpal is a mix of both thriller and horror fiction with enough creepy twists and turns to keep the reader/listener glued to the pages to find out what will come next. This is not a gory story but does deal with heavy themes such as stalking, kidnapping and death.
Penpal is my favorite creepypasta of all time. I want to do it justice and having an immersive storytelling experience! These are very young kids experiencing traumatic events. So, IF possible, please apply if can voice authentic sounding male children. I will put a link below for an example of how it should sound (you do not have to voice match).

He is a young man, looking back over his life in a series of disparate memories, in order to try to make sense of what has happened to him. As a kindergartner, he inadvertently attracted an obsessed stalker when a class assignment looking for penpals went awry. For years our protagonist dealt with both the creepy and the horrific actions of this deranged man.
For this role the younger version of this character is very innocent, just a naive child getting through life not actually understanding the circumstances he is in and that is what's haunting.

"No! If we get spotted your dad will find out and then so will my mom! We have to go there ourselves... We have to go there tonight..." (Urgent and blunt)
"But she'll be less lonely when her husband comes home though, right? How long will he be away on business? It seems like he's always away." (As innocent as possible)
The main protagonists' best friend since kindergarten. He fell victim to our storyteller's stalker and paid the ultimate price for his proximity to the deranged man's obsession.
He is a free spirited, jokester, adventurous kid. Again, innocence is key. For reference:

Realizing the dangers of her son's stalker, she tried her best to protect him. She sold their home and moved to a new neighborhood to escape his watchful eye, and she shielded her son from some of the details of the man's actions, telling him only later when she felt he'd be better able to understand.

An elderly woman with Alzheimer's who spent her time waiting for her deceased husband, Tom, to return home.
Can be confused convincingly, an older woman, very sweet and soft-spoken lady.
