[PAID] The Great Disney Games - story dub, AUDIO ENGINEER(S)/VIDEO EDITOR(S) NEEDED
Project Overview
Logo art by Dice.
Hello! Are you an audio editor? Do you like playing around with voices? Do you like cartoons? If the answer to any of those questions is "Yes," then you're in the right place.
The Great Disney Games is a published story written by me. The story is a Battle of the Network Stars-styled affair involving various Disney characters gathered into three teams. Counting the most recurring in-universe commentators, there are 47 principal characters in the story, though most chapters will not feature them all at once. Most chapters will generally focus on three-person groups from each team and a handful of guest characters.
This third casting call was made as we're in need of an editor with more up-to-date equipment to handle all of the pre-recorded character audio.
Date(s): The first three chapters of the story were published in December of 2024. The text of these three chapters are largely recorded and ready for polishing. Given how many delays this project has gone through, I won't commit to a hard deadline. It's done when my colleagues (current or prospective) are done. Optimistically, I'd like to launch this by July of 2025.
Creative team members: This project would be handled by the members of the SEESBrain Commentators, a YouTube collective of content creators who generally specialize in video game commentaries but also do podcasts. The project would be in conjunction with one of these podcasts. A link to the general SEESBrain YT channel is here. To contact one of our casting guides, please see this channel: SuperMSL. They are also contactable through Bluseky. To reach out to me, please contact me through DMs on the Casting Call Club.
Pay/contract: Non-union project; Flat rate is between $60 and $75 (USD) for completion of the project covering the first three chapters; additional payment determined by negotiations between the individual engineer and Scrappy-Fan92; Depending on your known workflow/pace/proof of prior accomplishments, additional rates can be negotiated.
Location preference: None, just looking for editors who can fluently read and speak English and can send and edit files of dialogue in a timely manner.
Technical requirements: Recordings for this project cover a range of audio formats and quality. We understand that this will not be a wholly consistent product and are not asking for perfection, just competence. Familiarity with Audacity or an equivalent at the bare minimum. Ability to edit one or two images into a video is also a must.
