Outpost Zeta
Project Overview
Outpost Zeta is a Machinima production that will be using Bungie and 343 Industries' Halo series to create our cinematic series. It is an Action/Comedy series about soldiers in the bottom ranks of the UNSC that are brought interesting information, and get pulled into the action of one of the greatest wars in history!
The characters within the series will range in personality and importance, but all are crafted with care and hold their individual value in the series. Some character are simply for comic relief, some are purely story focused characters, and some are a mix! In the end though, all characters are important to the overall direction of the show.
This series will be uploaded to YouTube as one of many projects being worked on by our production company. Voice actors will be needed, as well as body actors withing the Halo games. In order to take a role as a character, you do not have to be available to do both parts. Being only a voice actor, or only a body actor is completely acceptable.
Voice Actors- It is required that you have a quality sound recording method that can block out background sound.
Body Actors- It is required that you have an Xbox One and the game "Halo 5". It is optional, but would be nice, if you also had "Halo: The Master Chief Collection" and a means of capturing game play with a capture card.
All roles are currently unpaid positions. While it is completely understood that people may not join because of this, we are open to anybody who would like to join whether it be to build a portfolio, or just for serious interest in the project. This being said, monetization of the series would first and foremost lead to payment of the staff for all the work they have, and will continue to put in. Future payment will derive from future earnings, giving us all something to work towards.
If you are interested in the project, we would love to do a script read with you for characters of interest and see if we can find you a place! Thank you very much, and hope to speak with you soon!

Sergeant Johnson and Sergeant Johnson are two soldiers who are far past their prime. The two of them are not in any way related, but they are the exact same person. Their introduction is that command center sends Sergeant Johnson's to the Outpost on accident, and somehow they end up both being exactly like each other, even though they've never met. A lot of their role will be comical relief as they are a gag in their foundation, but due to their plethora of military experience, they will provide valuable knowledge to the main story. The two characters have gruff, southern military voices. You know the one.
[Serious Moment] Private Cage. You are far from the most talented, most skilled, or even the most serious soldier I've ever met, but I'll be damned if you're not the most confident. So you scurry your ass in there, you look that man in the face, and you shoot. he's ruined your life dammit! Take what's yours!
[In a Confused Tone] A warthog? What in Sam hell is a Warthog? If I had to guess, I'd say it looks more like a big pig lookin' thing. You know, with the tusks and all that.
Corporal Peaches is an overly flamboyant man with fairly good leadership qualities. He'd be an even better leader if he didn't listen to the Sergeant Johnson's all the time, being that they give him terrible advice that doesn't apply to modern military standards anymore. Even so, he enjoys being the second in command on Outpost Zeta, and completely ignores the fact that their base in next to useless in terms of relation to the war. He will be use mostly for comical moments, but just like all other lead characters, will always take part in the action of the main story.
[Giddy] Well tickle my tummy and call me Sergeant, I guess that means I'm in charge today!
My favorite color is clear. Oh wait, no, rainbow! No, no. Definitely clear.
Private Cage is a very charismatic and slightly obnoxious young man. He is fairly normal minded, and is aware of his position as one of the most unless soldiers in the UNSC. He takes full advantage of this by not asking questions, and waiting for payday. Although he is self aware, he still likes to act like he somehow is a step above the rest of the troops in the outpost, always claiming that he could get reassigned anytime he wants, but that he simply wants to get paid for doing nothing. He also has a huge crush on Private Kennedy, which he makes very well known. Although his character has a strong personality, there will be a lot of story build up with Private Cage, some of which will be his own personal story arch.
[Sarcastically] You're right! Command is definitely sending backup on their way right now! (Raise Voice) Hopefully they'll send two of everybody just like they did when out last reinforcements arrived! What could possibly go wrong?
[Relaxed] I'm here to kick back, collect a paycheck, and show off my sick new space marine weapons to anybody who wants to see. So respectfully Sergeant, no. I really don't want you to show me how to fix the Jeep like I'm your long lost son or something.
Private Kipp is a soldier with very low intelligence, with his purpose mainly being comical relief. He is always either not grasping the seriousness of certain situations, or accidentally saving the day. There isn't much in between that for him. He's very annoying to the rest of the squad, but to views, he will be lovably goofy.
[Confused] So when the blue thing, touches the yellow thing, that's when we run? Or do we run, and then the blue thing will touch the yellow thing? Wait, how does the blue thing know to touch the yellow thing?
Private Kennedy is a tough and respectable soldier, which is odd given the outpost she was assigned to. Because of her assignment Outpost Zeta, she doubts her own abilities and herself in general. In the future, her character will be built up into a highly important role, with her own story arch that explains why she was put in Outpost Zeta despite her extraordinary skills. Although always being hit on by Private Cage, she finds herself personally attracted to Ventus, the Special Ops agent assigned to their outpost shortly after the start of the series.
[Angrily] You're not going to give up on this are you? You're actually going to make me say it. (Sigh and then Mumble Quickly) Private Cage is cooler that Agent Palmer and deserves a promotion.
[Relaxed] What does it matter? He's dead now. Nothing we can say or do can make him die a good man. We didn't know who he really was until he was dying in my arms. So I guess-... I guess that means I never really loved him at all.
Gordon is a special kind of guy. He mostly communicates with grunts and noises, yet says a lot with those noises. Kennedy has a special understanding of him and his ways of communication, which nobody else really understands. He will be a character that is always with the squad, but only really adds to the story as an extension of the group's emotions and thoughts. This character has a deep to very deep voice.
[A few different sounds as if you were swinging something hard as somebody]
[An approving grunt and then approving laugh]
[A sigh, and then an "mm hm" of reluctant agreement]
Ventus is a Special Operations agent, formerly part of a special unit that disbanded. He's highly trained, very serious, and dangerous with a weapon in his hands. After his unit was disbanded, the UNSC practically forgot about him and his partners entirely and sent them all off to different outposts until they could find something to do with them at the end of the war.
[Demanding] Put the goddamn sword down or I swear on Kipp's life I'll shoot you where you stand!

You will be completely in charge of the logos and designs used to promote the series. These will also be used as the logos on all of the social media for the series.
Say something you think would fit
Your role will be to create small pieces of music than can be used to open episodes/scenes or play while rolling the credits. Most pieces would be reused many times, and being that they are short pieces, you will have plenty of time to create whatever you'd like and work on them with plenty of time.
