Ombretta (An Original Gacha Life Animated Series)
Project Overview
INTRODUCTION
Hello, everyone! This casting call is for a new original Gacha Life/Club series "Ombretta: A story about a seven-year-old girl named Grace that quickly gets distracted and leads to a life-changing moment. Ten years pass by and there is a teenage boy named Kenji whose life is also about to change after the shocking news of people being attacked by a supernatural being. Kenji defeats the being but finds out that it's not only a person but little Grace herself. She has no memory of what has happened or what she's done. Can Kenji gain her trust to help her? Will she find her family? Find out on Ombretta!
We're casting for voices to be used throughout the season. Folks cast for main roles will be asked to provide lines for the role. If you're not cast for the main role, and your voice matches the tone of the show or a character in a later episode, we may ask you to provide lines for supporting roles or possibly other main roles in the production. If you are cast I will request your discord username to invite you!
All roles are in the English language. Voice actors must be comfortable using English
DEADLINES AND AUDITIONS
The deadline for auditions is April 16th, 2022. There are currently no plans to extend this deadline, as the full Pilot script is ready to release to voice actors. The episode 2 script is also ready. We'll notify voice actors who have been cast in roles on the same day (April 16th, 2022) and send the link to the discord server.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Expect to be warmly greeted by myself, Opal. At this point, you'll be part of our Ombretta family, where you'll get to interact with other voice actors from around the globe, all of whom offer a wealth of experience and knowledge.
We communicate primarily through Discord. If you are unfamiliar with either of these applications, you will need to audition.
The show will be in the style of traditional Japanese Anime and because we don’t have the time to make it fully animated it will be in an animatic style.
WHAT WE ASK OF YOU
First and foremost, have fun -- we take pride in bringing together talents in different mediums to create something truly phenomenal, but none of it means anything if the people involved aren't passionate about their craft.
Please submit clean recordings on prosumer mics (no air conditioners in the background, no fans -- we don't mind performing noise reduction on your files, however too much clean-up reduces the quality of your voice). And speaking of clean-up -- please let us handle the post-production. Don't add effects to your lines -- leave that to our audio geniuses :)
Feel free to cut your lines to your best/favorite takes. Three is the gold standard. We have a few voice actors that would rather give us more takes, and that's okay, too. However please at least remove the takes you don't want to be featured on the audition.
Please submit your recordings as one .MP3 file we do occasionally ask for line re-dos, but we do this sparingly and only after great consideration - we realize your time is valuable, and we won't ask for anything we can't work around in edits.
Lastly, we are planning on making this into a series that will most likely last one season. We'd like to cast people who will be able to stick with us for a while.

This is Kenji Suzuki, a teenage boy who loves anime and learned how to sword fight because of it. Kenji has a Medium Voice and is 17 years old. Kenji is a main character in the show and will be in EVERY episode. If you get this role you are expected to stay during the whole project, but if something comes up for some reason we will find a replacement. Good Luck!!

"(gasps) How is that possible- (in shock) she healed the gunshot!
This is Akasha Azusagawa, a demon that roams the mortal realm, she has one intended goal. To get the Shadow Stone, and to take its power. Akasha has a Medium-Low voice and is considered Ageless. She is the main antagonist of season one. If you get this role you are expected to stay during the whole project, but if something comes up for some reason we will find a replacement. Her voice reference if you need one is similar to Daki from Demon Slayer. Good Luck!!

(yelling) "Stop trying and actually fight me!"
This is Vale Yukiharu, your typical class hotty that does not give a crap about people. Unless it is the people he loves. Vale has a Medium-Low Voice and is 17 years old. Vale is one of the main characters in the show and is introduced in episode 3 or 4 (TBD). If you get this role you are expected to stay during the whole project, but if something comes up for some reason we will find a replacement. His Voice Reference is Tatsuya Shiba from Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei . Good Luck!!
