Project Overview
20,000 years ago, the city of Marella was created. 3 people who stumbled upon the land, found out that there was a magic source in the city. The council decided to invite other cities to join Marella’s community. As civilization was growing, a new generation of council members emerged. These council members were greedy and selfish, and decided to ban outsiders from using magic. Only the Guardians of the city, would be able to use them. There were various opinions about this, but the people didn’t dare to speak about it. One day, a guardian was out in the city, on patrol, when he saw a kid who ran up to him, and hugged him. The guardian saw something in the kid, and decided to teach him magic. After the child was taught the magic, he ran off, and showed his friends. The council, after finding this out, decided to execute him. The guardian, had a daughter named Aubree, who was enraged that her father was killed, just for doing something right. She decided to take matters into her own hands, and led a rebellion against the council. The council finally crushed the rebellion after a year. The council arrested Aubree for starting a rebellion but as they arrested her, Aubree fought them back, and ran off, going into hiding for the next 5,000 years. After those 5,000 years, The evil Sea Serpent, Seprina, decides to destroy the city, and make it into her empire. Aubree, finding this out, wants a better reputation for the public, and using all her energy, forms into an angel like person. She flies up to Seprina and fights with her. Finally, Aubree stabs Seprina, killing her, and saves the city. She is now known as the Ocean Angel, Protector of Marella. Getting all this publicity is a lot, and she really just wanted to seem like a better person. She gets a vision from the Lord saying that the new Ocean Angel has to come, and that it will soon be her time. Her time comes, and she is reincarnated. 1,000 years later, Seprina is still alive and thriving well in Marella. She goes under a new name, Cordelia, and sees a warm glow from a building. She goes inside feeling chilly. As she walks in, she sees a man greeting her. She realizes she is in a orphanage. She thinks about it and says she wants to adopt a child. She looks at the children, and chooses a girl name Maristella Ashleigh. Mari has a quiet demeanor, making her the perfect candidate to learn serpent magic. She adopts her, and raises her. When she turns 5, she is introduced into training. By the age of 6, she finds out her power is water magic. Cordelia isn’t really happy about this, but teaches her how to do water magic in a offensive way. Now age 15, Mari is really good at water magic, and is also wondering things. When can I go to Magic School? She’ll find out soon enough.
