Joe Reeze holds up a police station and explains the story of how he became a killer, and what happened to the innocent Peggy Stewart.
Originally performed with Peter Lorre in the 1930s, it was later redone by Alfred Hitchcock's Suspense! in the 40s.

Kelly: a very skeptical cop.
Alex: A 14-year-old cousin of the main character. A bit violent.

KELLY: (SLIGHTLY OFF) Just a minute. How'd you get in here?
KELLY: (FADES IN) This is the squad room, son. If you have a complaint, give it to the desk sergeant.
ALEX: Likes you - a cat?
This is two characters.
Holt: A policeman who is also a bit of a family man. Just an average, working guy. He's a bit more nervous under pressure.
Horace: The groundskeeper for Peggy. He's a working man, and a somewhat suspicious guy.

HORACE: It's a young fellow, Miss Peggy. Looking for work.

Ella: A mean and abusive aunt. She is rude, and demanding.
Peggy: A kind, soft-spoken and soft-hearted woman that sees the good in everyone.
