Ningyō geki
Project Overview
Ningyō Geki is an engaging comic that follows Higan Eto (江藤 ひがん), an aloof high school girl who often escapes into her vibrant paracosm. As she navigates her feelings of isolation, she becomes increasingly aware of the dark side of Yoko Myoga (深谷 陽子), the seemingly perfect school sweetheart adored by everyone.
Alongside her friends Eiko Tachibana (橘 エイコ) and Masuma Kurozuki (黒月 ますま), Higan's journey explores themes of authenticity and friendship in a world full of pretense.
This is an unpaid project fueled by passion, and I’m seeking help to bring these characters and their stories to life. Your support can make a difference in creating something truly special!

Eiko Tachibana is a quiet and introspective high school girl with a unique blend of Japanese and Taiwanese heritage. At 16, she often finds solace in her sketchbook, where her imagination comes to life through vibrant colors and intricate designs. Eiko's shyness can make her seem distant at first, but she is deeply affectionate toward her best friend, Masuma Kurozuki (黒月 ますま), whom she loves dearly. Together, they share a passion for art, exploring galleries and workshops, and Eiko dreams of becoming an illustrator to express her unique perspective on the world.

Masuma Kurozuki is a 16-year-old high school girl with striking dyed white hair and an alternative style that sets her apart. Fearless and unapologetic, she doesn’t care what others think, often making her the target of rumors among her peers who mistake her boldness for gangsterness. Beneath her tough exterior, Masuma is genuinely kind and laid-back, always ready to stand up for her best friend Eiko. When someone is rude to Eiko, Masuma’s protective nature shines through, as she fiercely defends her friend with a loud and confident demeanor.

Yoko Myoga is a seemingly perfect high school girl of Japanese-Chinese descent, admired by her peers for her intelligence, charm, and style. With her bright smile and effortless grace, everyone sees her as the epitome of cool and cute. However, beneath her polished exterior lies a deep-seated narcissism and a secret disdain for those around her. Yoko craves validation and approval, relying on the admiration of others to mask her insecurities. Struggling with the weight of family abuse, she puts on a façade of perfection while battling her inner turmoil, making her a complex character hidden behind a mask of charm.

Higan Eto is a Japanese schoolgirl who often feels out of place, no matter where she goes. Known for her clumsiness and aloof demeanor, she seems to drift through life, but beneath this exterior lies a keen intuition that allows her to see through the façades of those around her, especially the manipulative Yoko. Higan has a deep disdain for anything plastic or fake, yearning for authenticity in a world filled with superficiality. Her unique perspective makes her both an outsider and a silent observer, constantly searching for genuine connections amidst the pretense.

This is the role of the artists. Drawing anime art is a must for this position, and it must be done digitally.
