Project Overview
INTRO
Hey there! Welcome to the casting call for Netherstar SMP Season One! A Minecraft roleplay I have been putting together for months now. Most of the story is planned, but in DMSP fashion there will be a great emphasis on improv in this story. I already have a few people for the characters, but I still have four roles (three boys and one girl) to fill and those who will be casted will be invited to the Discord server. I am also looking for people who specialize in building and creating skins. Sadly though as I am a freshman in college and dirt broke, I cannot pay anyone I chose for any of these roles. As of now, it is simply a project for fun!
ROLEPLAY BLURB
"Everything comes with a price"
That happened to be Warlord Claudia's favorite expression to her soldiers who stepped out of line. Jade, one of her prized soldiers trained by her second in command, never heard it uttered toward her until now. When the so called peace as she called it bended to her will was being threatened by the rebellion one of her own soldiers was orchestrating.
And Jade, well, she seemed to be caught in the crossfire.
I suppose that's what happens when your best friend Toby accidentally burns down the warlord's house trying to steal back their Netherite sword and his mother decides that it's time to overthrow Claudia and betray her to her enemies.
Now caught in a war with her friends and not knowing who to fully trust, Jade's main goals at this point are to survive, and to protect her friends. However, with the stakes rising higher and their rebellion leader seemingly falling into madness, Jade doesn't know how long it'll be until everything falls apart around them.
VIDEO STRUCTURE
I plan to structure this series in a very similar fashion to how Blueberry TV makes their DSMP abridged videos, but with a dash of cinematic flair much like how Quackity does his lore streams. Unlike the DSMP or Empire SMP which is different videos on the same event, all of the perspectives will be combined into one video edited together.
CHARACTER REQUIREMENTS
- Must have good quality mic

- Try to speak as clearly as you can

- Must be 15+ (between the ages of 17-19 is the oldest I’m willing to go)
- Say your name and age before you read your lines
- Language for this server is PG-13
- You will need the Java version of Minecraft to participate
Most of all, I ask for patience since this is my first project of this genre and caliber, and I am still learning how to structure everything as I go along.

Jade was one of War Lord Claudia's prized soldiers until she was tried guilty of treason due to her affiliation with her best friend and platonic soulmate Toby. She's very kind at heart, but struggles with her self worth due to always being used as weapon for everyone's personal gain and constantly trying to keep her loved ones safe. She fights alongside Toby and their friends Luis and Dandelion who she sees as siblings. As a baby, Jade's grandfather owed a favor to Claudia's second in command Lionhart which led her to be ripped from her mother's arms and trained under him. I wrote her as a parallel to Achilles with Toby as her Patroclus. She is a half-Piglin hybrid who is 18 years of age.
(Irritated) See Tobias that's your problem isn't it? You always jump into these scenarios without thinking and that's how you become a war criminal!
{You see one of your best friends Dandelion eating moss you know it doesn't hurt her cause she's a mooshroom hybrid but it's still very concerning} (concerned) Dandelion please put down the moss I know you're stressed but this isn't the time for a mental breakdown
{Standing in the middle of a battlefield as you have your abusive father figure cornered with your sword at their throat} (chuckles) Do you still think I was never strong enough to beat you in a battle old man? Believe me, I'm not the same as I was before no thanks to you.
Toby is, for lack of a better word, very reckless. Which I suppose you could say for a lot boys his age. The truth is that all he really wants is to make his mother Alexis proud so of course he'd throw himself into a rebellion head first without thinking. He has been known to cause trouble before and to back talk and challenge his superiors. Overtime, he'll learn to become more cautious as the world begins to beat him down, but as of now he would very much try to fight the sun. He's childhood friends with Jade despite Lionhart thinking he was a bad influence, and is the Avian hybrid son of Alexis. He is also good friends with Toby and since before the beginning of the rebellion began had a rivalry with Ezekiel. He is 18 years old.
(cocky) Oh Luis you know I only have one fear: Dying alone! That's why I brought you!
{Suggesting what to do as all of your friends are huddled together coming up with a plan} (shrugs) I don't understand why we can't just kill the bastard.
{Sitting in the snow, looking down at their hands as it feels like everything around you is caving in} (completely broken) This...this is my fault....it's my fault....
Riot is a Piglin and one of many children Claudia "took in" being taken from his home in the Nether and trained under her before a series of events brought him away from Claudia. Now, he's the wife of the Demi-god queen of the North Hestia and never went back to the place he was raised until Alexis sent word asking for aid in her rebellion. Riot comes off at first as a gruff, threatening looking man, but deep down he is what one might call a himbo. Big heart, but also kinda dumb of ass. He genuinely wants to protect and look after the main four even though Toby and him tend to butt heads and bicker a lot. Funky uncle, cool big brother kinda vibes. A gruff, deep sounding voice of a man who is 35 years old.
{Seeing the gang in the distance} Hehe look at those idiots {takes a minute to realize} (panicked) Wait those are my idiots!
{Riot puts on full Netherite as with a smug smile as Toby tries to say that he could totally win in a fight against Riot} You were saying, little man?
A warrior that was feared for miles, once the King of Frost and Blood, husband to the moon goddess Cynthia, now Dante is pretty much playing the role of the bored mentor figure who's lived for far too damn long. Nonetheless, he's not one to regret the choices he's made to get to where he is now and adores his daughter and his son in law. He is an Avian gifted immortality by his goddess wife and has lived for so long that material things just don't mean that much to him anymore as people do. He can also be described as "eccentric"
(slowly turns toward Riot with a deadpan expression) I'm a little busy at the moment actually
{slowly sips tea} Sometimes you gotta fight a few kids to reach enlightenment, you know?
Lionhart is the cold, overbearing father of Ezekiel and Luis and technically Jade as Jade has been training with him her whole life. He mostly has neglected his birth son's training, looking to mold Jade to be perfect for Claudia and any cause she may need. He was also very neglectful to Jade, leaving her and his other sons alone in the village to wherever Claudia needed him to go. As Claudia's second in command he is very loyal to her. Shadoweaver/Endeavor vibes basically. Is 37 years old.
{Sounds calm, but there is a very deep note of anger in Lionhart's voice} You did not disrespect Claudia, Jade. You disrespected me.
{Lionhart places a hand on Jade’s shoulder as he looks down at her } I spent many years molding you to be perfect for Claudia when your time came to be warrior, Jade. You wouldn't disappoint me now that you've gotten so far would you?
Ezekiel is Lionhart's oldest son. Bitter and full of hatred from his father not paying him any mind throughout his youth, he has become extremely loyal to Claudia who always said saw potential in him and his training that she took on that responsibility personally. Because of this he has grown bitter towards his little brother Luis and especially Jade who their father "favored", and is in a rivalry with the troublemaker of the village Toby before the rebellion began. Over the course of the season one he becomes even more crazed in a manner similar to a pretty boy anime villain. Is 18 years old.
{Crazed villain laughter} I always thought you were pathetic Luis but this is a whole new low!
{Angrily} This isn't over Tobias! You and I both no throwing that potion of harm was cheating!
Despite being one of Claudia's main soldiers, Birch was always the more soft spoken one that didn't entirely have a heart of stone. He treats their daughter Dandelion with kindness and respect, and while Lionhart abandoned his kids for a mission, they would mostly look after Jade. However, his more quiet nature does not mean he is a push over, and can be loud and dangerous if the need arises. They are 37 years old.
{slumped down against a wall, defeated} I never wanted it to come to this. I never thought it was ever going to get this bad.
(irritated) You act like any of us have a choice to follow Claudia or not! You and I both know that we don't!
Will be in charge of editing all POVs together and filming the more cinematic aspects. Can also be a VA for one of the VA roles if they so wish
Say something you think would fit
The warlord of Beacon, Claudia is a very cold a calculated individual who has conquered the lands one by one and now has her eyes set on Mount Eskel. She rarely ever breaks her cold facade, but when she does the one who set her off would understand why she brought villages to their knees. She has brought up Alexis and Riot as her own soldiers, almost like her own children. She is 45 years old.
TLDR she’s a gaslight, gatekeep girlboss who’s a c!Dream and Ein kinnie so have fun with our main villain
{Condescending} “Do you really feel in control of this situation, Hestia?”

{Chuckles} “Your own mother sat and watched you die. You’re the reason all of this started. What makes you think any of your friends would come rescue you if they knew you lived?”
