Neo-Meso Post - Gaffa
Project Overview
Neo-Meso Post is an original indie animated coming-of-age adventure series about two best dinosaur friends working to become guild couriers while uncovering their small towns' buried secrets!
NMP as a show is inspired by early 2K monster card game anime you might have watched on 4Kids, as well as Nintendo DS era games like Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, Fossil Fighters, and Dinosaur King! Regardless of the bright colors and playful characters, we intend to delve deep into themes of change, processing grief, the challenges of building an inclusive world and what it's like to feel isolated despite that.
We're in the process of building an audience by releasing experimental prequel shorts with the intention of one day graduating to animatics or a pilot for the official series. As of May 2026, we have released two shorts so far!

Our stylized shorts feature occasional fully animated clips, as well as storyboard animatics in future shorts, that require voice acting. At this time we're hiring as we go. More casting calls for voice roles will be posted in the future as more shorts enter production. While we intend to cast the voice that fits our roles the best, we want to welcome anyone of any walk of life, race, disability, orientation, expression, or lifestyle to audition!
This is an indie production, our pre-production and production schedules value flexibility and preventing crunch first and foremost. This particular casting call will last two weeks and end on June 3, 2026.
Contact through discord is mandatory. Cast voice actors joining the project discord is nice BUT NOT REQUIRED! If possible, we would like to have a live recording session scheduled and final line takes recorded by the end of the month. However, if scheduling conflicts or emergencies arise, send updates asap.
Payment is available through Paypal, Cashapp, Venmo, or Wise. We are setting a default payment range of $75 USD per hour. Price negotiation is welcome! Work time will likely take less than an hour with a range of 5-10 lines per role (for shorts), but payment will cover the full hour regardless. Retakes will be compensated if necessary.
When submitting lines, please provide clean good quality audio files. You're free to clip takes you prefer, but unedited RAW files, .wav or .mp3 are also acceptable.
Even if you are not cast for a role, we still encourage people to apply! We keep a reference list of applicants we enjoy and may contact for opportunities or extras in the future!

Looking for an older feminine vocal range. Gaffa is a bold, eccentric, kooky old bat with the ability to switch from affectionate to intimidating on a dime, like a slightly less deranged King Bumi from Avatar with a bit of Steve Irwin's eccentricity tossed in. As for her voice, I’m looking for a subtle rasp, not a stereotypical weary old lady tone. Any vocal register is fine, but I’m drawn to deeper voices.
Some of her spoken words can bleed together.
