NEED TO DELETE THIS BUT CAN'T
Project Overview
"Not Near Normal" is a horror fantasy podcast that shall be on YouTube as well as hopefully iTunes and Podcast Addict. It is about a group of people who have been sucked into a terrifying horror realm in inhuman bodies, and must find out why they are there and how this happened.

Character has inspiration from the narrator of the TV series "Series of Unfortunate Events" and "The Twilight Zone". Also perhaps Cecil Palmer from "Welcome to Night Vale."
"You ever had an ‘out-of-body’ experience? If so, I’m guessing you never got lost on your way back"
"A long, shadowy hallway stretches before them, only lit by flickering oil lamps showing the wooden floors and walls. Paintings of landscapes decorate said walls, quality is questionable due to this low visibility. Perhaps in better lighting, this might actually have some ‘rustic’ charm to it"
"A smell comparable to rotting flesh and burned hair fills the room like a suffocating smoke. A black, tar-like substance seeping up through the floorboards, taking the shapes of hands and arms, reaching out to any living being near enough, dripping black, clumpy fluids onto the floor"
Linda is a villain in the horror fantasy podcast "Not Near Normal". Creepy cult leader.
"Well hello, darlings! Welcome to our humble town, it's such pleasure to meet you!" Chipper tone, almost too happy. If you know WTNV, think Strexcorp.
"Of course, my dear... a woman always knows her place." Again, overly happy tone, but quieting her voice slightly.
"As I said... a woman always knows her place" now her voice is intense, still holding the overly happy, but now she's quite ready to kill the protagonists
"Hello, hello! My name is Robert Morales, this here is my lovely wife Linda, please do say hello!" overly cheerily, eerily so
"Ah yes, of course dear. We all know that a woman must know her place" followed by a chuckle. Yup, sounding sexist but still cheerily
"This town is the only safe haven in this God-forsaken world! No strangers will come RUINING this for us!" full of eerie chuckles, as the line continues he begins to sound more and more mad and delusional. Sounds ready to kill but with a smile.
All of the towns people are brainwashed and now eerily happy, hardly ever losing their smile.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, stranger! It's always so nice to make new friends!"
"Ah, ah, ah. Remember... children are much better seen, not heard". Condescending but still holding eerily happy tone.
"Have you met Mr. and Mrs. Morales? They will be far more than happy to show you around our lovely lil' town!"
Michael Stone is an arrogant banker brought into this other realm, now in the body of a high elf. He has a strong and confrontational personality, feels like he should be in charge of every situation.
agitated “Not a lot of help then, I see. Fine. Well” takes a deep breath, tone changes and sounds like he’s started smiling “I’m Michael, but most call me Mr. Stone”
"Woah, alright kid, take a breath and chill for a second! This isn’t going to solve a damned thing, we need to try and keep a level head about this.” trying to calm down someone who is shouting out of panic
“ ‘Not again’! What do you mean again? What’s happening?!” panicked and angry
Amri has a softer, kind, and gentle voice. He is very patient and empathetic towards those he meets. But he also is very protective of his town, so he can be a little bit hesitant of outsiders.
He is a POC / LGBTQA+ plus character, so I need a POC LGBTQA+ actor
"Please understand. This town is under my domain, I must do all I can to protect it and everyone under my wing. I will welcome you in with open arms, but I would appreciate some understanding of the monitoring" cautious but kind tone
"It doesn't matter to me, I promise. It's ridiculous to judge someone by their race. I've met the kindest dark elves and the most traitorous humans. I promise you, there's no judgement here" speaking with a smile
"Get back, now! Let me handle this! I don't want any of you getting hurt." stern tone, commanding them out of concern.
Taura is a member of a cult who is causing this whole mess. Her and Nora were a couple, but now Nora has no memory of Taura and she doesn't handle this well. She is a bit off her rocker, starting a very violent and intense scene and try to kidnap Nora and bring her back to the cult.
"Oh, Nora... I've been looking everywhere for you! Once they said that you'd failed to be sent out, I knew I had to come and bring you back. But you left the motel, I was hoping you'd stay and wait for us... Oh, I've missed you darling"
"... What do you mean you don't remember me? We were... with everything between us? It's me, Taura... darling, you must remember" panicked tone
Listen to "Meant to Be Yours" from the Heathers before this.
"We were meant to be together! We're two halves of one whole! Just come back with us, we'll better the world!" ......... "I can't do this without you! I can't live without you any longer! Don't do this to me, Nora. We have a mission, a calling, we have to complete this! See, it was successful with them! .. We could live a safer life together. Please" becomes more and more panicked and angry as she talks
