Nano
Project Overview
Nano is a sci-fi, explanatory short film. It handles concepts such as human implants, nanotechnology, and disaster and ties them into a cohesive story. The story centers around a young teenager (15) Icarus who comes from a low-income family who has never had luxuries in life and worked in the mines. His life changes when he signs up for a new experiment for some quick cash, but he quickly finds himself going on a fantastic, mind-bending adventure. Eventually, he decides that he must rebel against the scientists in order to escape and help his family, and all of the people from the slums.
In the world of Nano, the world has suffered a huge environmental disaster that left the air all but breathable, the soil dry, and the seas barren. When the world became unsurvivable, all humans migrated to the underground civilization of Adamn. Adamn is a multi-tiered city with 2 distinct sections.
The first section is the Slums, made up of scrap metal homes with poor ceiling support. The tier is all but collapsed and is small, dirty, cramped, and dangerous. People in the slums are forced into a life of labor and economic disadvantage with little means to ever go to Utopia or get out of debt.
The second section is known as Utopia. Utopia is where all of the wealthy people migrated to when the above world became inhabitable, they allowed them to create a city of technology, prosperity, and segregation. Utopia has advanced technology, with its newest invention. Their most recent invention is a powerful, sentient, biological-adapter chip named Nano. Icarus is one of the first 10 test subjects for Nano. After the other 9 subjects' brains were fried, he becomes the only person to use the Nano technology due to his rare brain structure, which makes him an extremely valuable asset to the company, Nirgyna, that develops said technology. He must figure out how to escape the high-tech, guarded compound using his new strengths. The Nano chip gives him various enhancements including super-strength, enhanced intelligence, telekinetic powers, kinetic energy absorption/release, and technopathy. Will he be able to escape the facility, save his fellow people and form a more united civilization?

> You will need to be experienced enough in order to do the minimum following tasks: Splice together audio and visual clips, add in effects/post-processing, and ensure that video/animation follows all guidelines for content moderation. (YouTube guidelines.)

> The PR Director is in charge of drawing attention to the film before it is released on YouTube. They will be in charge of managing the outside appearance of the film including promotional material, sneak peeks, and an eventual trailer they direct and produce using footage from the film (with a potential for a custom trailer-exclusive shot if needed/wanted)

> POTENTIALLY DOZENS OF ROLES, ANY AND ALL VOICE AUDITIONS CAN BE DIRECTED ONTO THIS ROLE.
> Audio capture/editing software is a must.
> Voice actors will be in charge of recording their voices for the film. They will be provided with a script, and all relevant information for them to begin reading the script. They will also be allowed previews of the films as it progresses.

> The GPI is charged with providing illustration help wherever it is needed. The illustrator may animate, design concept art, illustrate promotional material, and such. The main thing is to help everything work smoothly, everywhere.
