Hello! My name is Ash, the main director, and welcome to the My Hero Academia casting call! We’ll be dubbing a variety of fan comics & official comics.

Please note that this is an unpaid project. However, all voice actors and editors will receive proper credit, and it's a great opportunity to be part of a creative team, gain experience, and showcase your talent to a wider audience.
Deadline is May 4th, 2025, at 12:00 pm PDT.
GUIDELINES:
Please record 1-3 takes for each character and label the file as: YourName_CharacterName_MHAAudition.mp3
Take order in the AABBCC format.
Do NOT slate.
Auditioning for multiple characters is allowed.
Your audition must have good audio quality with little to no background noise.
If you decide to use a voice effect for a character, please leave in the unedited takes.
Some roles will already have been filled by me and other actors! If a character isn't on the list, don't ask if they're available.
Please include your Discord! We'll be using it as our main source for communication.
Communcation is key! If I can't get in touch with you after long periods of time consistently, then I'll have to let someone else take the role.
Meeting deadlines is important but communicate with me if you cannot meet said deadline.

CHARACTER DESCRIPTION:
Katsuki is a crude, arrogant, short-tempered, and aggressive person, especially at the beginning of the series. Katsuki tends to come off as unheroic; this problematic behavior going all the way back to his early childhood days when he was known to bully a young, Quirkless, Izuku Midoriya. He showed to be extremely arrogant and condescending to those around him, often bragging of his Explosion Quirk's power, and even boasting that he would take on his entire middle school class.

CHARACTER DESCRIPTION:
Other students have described Ochaco as "the most laid-back girl" in her class, being very bubbly and was once kind of an airhead sometimes. She is often incredibly blunt without being aware of it. Similar to Izuku Midoriya, Ochaco's reactions tend to be exaggerated and humorous: she often becomes amused at certain personality traits and quirks others exhibit, bursting into laughter at times, which she tries to suppress.

CHARACTER DESCRIPTION:
Tenya may look severe, unfriendly, and even intimidating at first glance, but in reality, he's straightforward, earnest, intelligent, sophisticated, disciplined, and noble, although a bit clueless about personal interactions due to his elite upbringing. A testament to his generally hyperactive and intense behavior, Tenya often exhibits plenty of peculiar tics, such as moving his arms around in strange chopping patterns or sometimes twitching his body uncontrollably; yet he rarely sheds his usual strict expression.

CHARACTER DESCRIPTION:
Shoto originally had a cold, aloof personality, which stemmed from his abusive upbringing and complicated family life. Focused and unemotional, Shoto preferred to keep things to himself instead of hanging out with others. After the events of the U.A. Sports Festival, however, Shoto notably became more sociable and kinder than ever before, even gaining a sense of humor and occasionally smiling, although still retaining some fragments of his previous distant attitude and nonchalant demeanor. After the Provisional Hero License Course, he began opening up more to his classmates and has lightened up from his usually serious demeanor. Nonetheless, Shoto is not quite used to socializing yet, coming off as a bit dense when understanding certain phrases and figures of speech.

CHARACTER DESCRIPTION:
Eijiro is a boisterous and outgoing guy with a fondness for manliness, often using the terms "manly" and "unmanly" to describe things and people he does or doesn't like, respectively. Those who showcase a noble, brave, or determined attitude tend to emotionally move him to tears, quickly earning his complete admiration, respect, and friendship. Similarly, he will call out traits that are the opposite of that, such as cowardice and dirty play. Eijiro himself is determined and selfless, bravely putting the safety of others before himself. He is also a big fan of Crimson Riot, a retro hero from whom he takes inspiration, including personal values and his hero's name.

CHARACTER DESCRIPTION:
Tsuyu is straightforward and aloof, speaking bluntly from her mind and freely expressing what she thinks about others. Tsuyu prefers to be called "Tsu" but only by people she views as friends. She commonly refers to everyone with the honorific "-chan", save for teachers and other authority figures.

"We're all still in shock over Bakugo's kidnapping... so we have to think about this calmly. It doesn't matter how righteous our feelings are. If we start another fight...if we break the law...then we're no better than the villains!"

CHARACTER DESCRIPTION:
Denki is a friendly, social, and energetic boy who enjoys hanging out with others. He is rather casual when interacting with other people, including the generally unfriendly Katsuki Bakugo, although he's not above petty complaining or overreacting if he feels annoyed or shocked enough. Denki may come off as blunt and reckless at times but is always well-meaning. He encourages others to be themselves and become more comfortable doing what they like. This motivational aspect is shown when he compliments Kyoka's skill with multiple musical instruments during preparation for the U.A. School Festival.

CHARACTER DESCRIPTION:
Kyoka has a pragmatic, unenthusiastic, blunt, and teasing personality that is mostly shown to those she finds irritating, like her fellow classmate Denki Kaminari, whose cluelessness makes him an easy target for her snarky comments. Kyoka is not always like this though, as she does enjoy socializing with others, in which case she is usually nice and friendly.

CHARACTER DESCRIPTION:
Momo is a very prudent, dedicated person who is a natural leader. She is levelheaded and calm in dangerous situations, but she isn't above falling into a panic. Momo is very kind, polite, and relatively reserved, yet she can be blunt with her comments about people's mistakes and miscalculations, tending to be very direct and wishing to help her peers improve enough to become great heroes, such as when she tutored her classmates at her home. Momo shows further development as a selfless hero who gets inspiration from others while also taking the role of a leader in her class, thanks to her skills and intelligence. Because of her wealthy upbringing, she has a sensible and respectful attitude toward others, often being discouraged by discourteous behavior.

CHARACTER DESCRIPTION:
Fumikage is reserved, serious, and focused, albeit noble and valiant. Though not talkative, Fumikage will directly ignore questions or requests that seem in some way pointless while he talks to other people as some ongoing joke. When Fumikage teams up with others, he becomes more sociable, helping his teammates out, reassuring his trust in them, and thanking them for their effort. During combat, Fumikage is known to be fierce and dependable, with his strength and capabilities rarely being questioned. Fumikage can also be easily embarrassed for example when showing off his dorm room.

"Revelry in the dark."

"Even darkness... comes in a range of shades. So you don't get... to speak of the dark. That muddied, dismal darkness you brought about... we've already devoured it whole."
CHARACTER DESCRIPTION:
All Might's hero persona appears to be derived from comic book superhero stereotypes: exuberant and filled with dramatic flair. He always protects and saves innocent people with a huge smile. The habit of smiling was ingrained in him by his mentor, Nana Shimura, who believed that the ones who smile are the ones who are the strongest. Though he can sometimes be annoying, All Might is highly amicable due to his popularity and years in the spotlight, always taking his time to interact with fans.

CHARACTER DESCRIPTION:
Shota is a very stern and reserved man who has lofty expectations of his students. He is primarily motivated by logic and does not believe in the necessity to maintain a clean-cut appearance or filter his words or ideas for others. He often comes off as cold, apathetic, and impatient, exerting very little energy in most situations, preferring to take naps in his sleeping bag instead.

"I'm sorry to tell you... that for the next three years... U.A. will run you through the wringer. That's 'Plus Ultra'. Use your strength to overcome it all. So, bring it."
"He doesn't... have no chance. That's all I can say. Because if he had no prospects, I would cut him loose. There's nothing crueler than letting someone chase their half-baked dreams."
"No, I can't afford to die. If I die... there'll be no one left to hold him back! I still... have to watch... over them. Until they graduate and become heroes!"
CHARACTER DESCRIPTION:
Hizashi maintains the eccentric persona of a radio host. He often poses when he talks and maintains a certain level of excitement or volume, regardless of the situation. His attitude made Kyoka Jiro mistake him for a simple announcer, rather than an actual Pro Hero.

CHARACTER DESCRIPTION:
All For One was a subtle, sadistic, and malevolent man who liked to rule from the shadows and enjoyed himself at the expense of people before discarding them. In the past, All For One used his power to help people, but in exchange for their servitude. Once they could no longer follow his orders, All For One would callously abandon them, and his followers purged those who defied his will. Taking advantage of the chaotic era caused by the uprising of Quirks, All For One offered people anything they wanted as long as they followed him, including choice and power to those who had none, where he would take Quirks from those who didn't want them and gave Quirks to those who wished for strength, all as a means to gather numbers and conduct his schemes through other people. He masked his true intentions by claiming that he just wanted to help restore order and balance to society.

"Remember what that comic book said? 'One for all' and 'all for one'. Words to live by. That hero had to hide his identity and battle on in solitude... while everyone paid tribute to the wicked demon lord out of fear. Just as you were inspired, I now want a world that exists for my sake and mine alone. I've found my own dream!"
"My side was entirely on defense during the last great battle. In fact, I hear you and yours kept them from accomplishing much of anything. This time? Not so much. Heroes are those who defend, while Villains violate. Behold, as we plunge headlong toward our dreams!!"
"If it's freedom you desire, then submit to me, my brethren. And bear witness, by my side. This impending void era will give rise to a more perfect demon lord. This will be the story of how I became the greatest demon lord of all!"
CHARACTER DESCRIPTION:
Tomura Shigaraki was a very twisted, malevolent, and maliciously warped young man. He didn't care for his or almost anyone else's life, having no qualms about performing evil deeds like murdering innocent people. Tomura was initially perceived to be a "man-child": arrogant, selfish, dependent, and demanding, becoming irritated or downright angry if things didn't go according to plan and using video game terminology showing his detachment with reality and childish mentality. Unlike his mentor, Tomura lacked subtlety, preferring to eliminate problems through force. Much like a child, Tomura seemed unable to cope with his own feelings, instead lashing out and abusing both others or himself, clawing at his own neck when he became frustrated. This particular tic stemmed from the abuse he suffered from his father and being neglected during his childhood, with All For One claiming that it represented his suppressed urge to kill and destroy. While Tomura was a very irritable person at the beginning of the series, Tomura would learn to be more patient and self-controlled in subsequent appearances, as a consequence of multiple failed plans and All For One's arrest.

"Even if this hero society comes crashing down... even if I rise to rule the underworld... that weight in my heart is never gonna go away. It's why I hate everything. Every living, breathing thing just rubs me the wrong way. So why not destroy it all? Why not destroy everything?"
CHARACTER DESCRIPTION:
Himiko was a very cheerful girl, to the point of smiling even after having presumably killed someone, displaying sadistic tendencies. This continued even when danger was imminent, as seen when Tomura Shigaraki was about to attack her, but it usually stopped when she was bored or annoyed. Himiko was frequently seen blushing seemingly out of excitement rather than embarrassment, giving her a permanent look of what appeared to be lovesickness on her face. However, she did show that she could easily be embarrassed, such as when she thought people were coming on to her, or when she was naked when copying clothes of the people she transformed into.

"I'm Toga! Himiko Toga! Life is too hard! I wanna make a world that's easier to live in! I wanna be Mr. Stainy! I wanna kill Mr. Stainy! So lemme join you, Tomura!"
"Of course you wanna be like the one you love. It's natural. So you end up decking yourself out to look like him. But after enough time, even that's not enough. You literally want to become him. There's no helping it. So what's your type? I love tattered guys reeking of blood. That's why I always carve people up in the end."
"Looks like we both want to learn about each other, huh? So now... Your turn. Why are you hoping to become a hero? Honor? Pride? For someone else's sake? I want to know... all about you."
CHARACTER DESCRIPTION:
Toya was very energetic and boisterous as a child, and he wanted to learn as much as he could from his father. Because his father, Enji, had emphasized that he would be the one to surpass All Might since childhood, Toya became obsessed with fulfilling that dream, becoming just as stubborn as his father to become the next number one hero. Toya was not unmotivated upon learning that his body could not safely handle his flames, becoming upset and frustrated when his father refused to train him anymore. Despite Enji telling him to focus on something else and find a new goal to pursue, Toya was insistent that he could still live up to his father's dream and continued to train on his own, burning himself in the process. Toya described his goal as a fire that his father lit within him that would not go out and that he could not bring himself to ignore, highlighting how his childhood dream became an unhealthy obsession.
