My Hero Academia ABRIDGED Season 2 // BAKUGO CASTING
Project Overview
// PLEASE READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE AUDITIONING //
Our previous VA for Bakugo unfortunately had to step down from the role, so we are looking for someone to fill the role ASAP so we can release the Season 1 Finale (projected for early July release) and begin work on Season 2.
//WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE//
- XLR Microphone with Interface & Pop Filter (we will NOT accept USB)
- Email your contact information (email, discord, skype) to leroygendaryfilms @ gmail (dot) com
+ If you get the role, we will let you know through your primary contact
+ You need a skype/discord for live directing
- Demo Reel (include in your email) If you don't have a demo, link us to your previous work.
//WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW//
- DEADLINE IS JUNE 28, 2017
+ If we find a VA we like auditions will close before then, so submit your auditions ASAP!!!
- Without revealing too much, Bakugo has a significant role in Season 2; dare we say, he is the protagonist. You will be taking on a huge role, and to make up the time we lost trying to keep the old VA on board we are very behind in production. Because of this you will be recording ALOT of lines in your first recording session and we will be attempting to do this as soon as you are cast. So be prepared.
- If you are familiar with abridges from JoyRide Entertainment than you know that we don't just do comedy and very often dwell in dramatic territory. Because of this. although we encourage everyone to audition, we are specifically looking for the most dynamic and professional sounding voice actors.
- Do NOT ask for critiques or if you got the role. If you got it, we'll tell you by the deadline.
- It's best to familiarize yourself with the Abridged series you're auditioning for. You can watch the series on the JoyRide Entertainment channel on Youtube (youtube dot com /leroygendary). We encourage you to watch Episode 4 first, as this is the episode that utilizes Bakugo the most.

Voice// Gruff, teenage/young adult. Needs to be able to maintain this gruffness in both quiet and loud lines (analogs: Roger Craig Smith, Eric Vale, Steve Blum). You are free to use the previous VA (found in episode 4) as reference. You are also free to attempt your own interpretation of the character after trying our approach.
None of you are happy with my one-man crusade against the system. And oh man, am I broken up about it. (last line should be said sarcastically. He's addressing the rest of his class who are not happy with a decision he made on their behalf)
YOU'RE NOT GONNA GET RID OF ME THAT EASILY, "TWISTEE TREAT"!!!! (loud, ferocious scream. He's chasing after Todoroki and insulting him)
DON'T YOU DARE SAY THAT! IT WAS NEVER LIKE THAT AND YOU KNOW IT!!! (angry, on the verge of tears. Someone is revealing a truth that he doesn't want to hear)
