My Hero Academia Abridged Parody
Project Overview
The Project
This is a passion project made by myself and my brother. We have both been in love with voice acting for a long time (and thus will have roles in the videos). We also both have a love for anime and decided what better anime to abridge than My Hero Academia?
What We're Looking For
We're looking for a group of voice actors (both male and female) who can provide their lines on time and with the same level of passion for the project that we have. This is not a paid project, so all work will be done for the sake of making something great versus for the sake of pay. This is subject to change if the project takes off successfully, however there is no guarantee that it will.
Any actors we bring on board will be expected to provide their lines ON TIME! If you are unable to do so, you will first be warned and then be kicked off the project if you continue to be unable to deliver your lines.
We're looking for actors with good microphones with little to no background noise.
There will more than likely be cursing in these parodies so if that isn't something you're comfortable with, this may not be the project for you.
Discord
We will be using Discord to communicate with you so it is very important that you have one. There will be a special server set up just for our voice actors. We want this to be a friendly environment, so no toxicity towards each other will be tolerated.

Do not pay attention to upvotes! I know you will anyway, but we will not be using them to decide who we think fits the role.

For Izuku, we're looking for someone who can do a sort of nerdy, yet also strong voice. There are times where Izuku is timid and then times where he steps up and is the strong member of the group. It's important that whoever we cast in this role can do both. Keep in mind, this is a semi-action based anime and we will require someone who can do fighting sounds as well.
(Excited) Ah! This is gonna be good!
With the rise of super powers, came an explosive increase in criminal activity. While governments were trying to figure out how to reform laws with quirks in mind, courageous people starting performing heroic acts to keep our city safe.
(Scared/Nervous) Ah! No wait! You've got it all wrong, really! I'm not trying to compete against you!
(Fighting noises such as grunts, getting hit, or maybe fumbling an attack or two. For Izuku we want his fighting noises to be more on the meek and timid side to a comical extent, rather than super serious.)
For Bakugo we are looking for you to grumble through most of your lines, but still have them intelligible. The mumbled/grumbled voice would play to the comedic tone of the abridged series, however a few takes of the lines with maybe a more polished/ serious voice would be appreciated.
(Angry/Taunting) Listen up Deku! You're even worse than the rest of these damn rejects, you quirkless wannabe!
Most first string heroes show potential early on. People look at them and just know they're destined for greatness. When I'm the only student from this garbage junior high to get into UA, people will start talkin' about me like that.
(Fighting noises, as over the top as possible if you are able too. Noises such as getting hit, throwing a punch or missing an attack. A few serious takes would be appreciated as well.)
For Iida, we want someone who can nail that over the top, borderline obnoxious southern accent. We also want him to be overly confident.
She looks like she's trying to focus on the trials ahead. What are you going to do? Distract her and ruin her chances to succeed?
They're all missing the point. Don't they see what he did? He sacrificed everything. Just to save that girl. He must have known how little time was left, how many points he needed to pass, that he was putting his life on the line.
(Fighting noises. Remember, keep it southern. Getting hit, missing attacks and landing hits.)

(Fighting noises. Imagine a pompous nerd getting into a fight and use that as your inspiration)
Present Mic half yells/ half sings a lot of the things he says so we're looking for something the complete opposite. A very quiet sort of character who never speaks above a whisper.

So I realize my initial instructions plus the ways the lines are written is quite conflicting so here is the fixed version : for Present Mic we want someone who just sounds overly bored or maybe even depressed with his job. Izuku's moms is a recurring character throughout the series. We need someone who can fit the bill of an overprotective, super sensitive mother.
(Concerned) Oh dear. So you really think there's something wrong, then? Most of the other kindergartners in his class have begun to show signs already.
(Crying) I'm sorry, Izuku. I wish things were different.
Young Izuku is a child version of Izuku Midoriya. This is open to male or female, as long as you can nail the voice of a young, excitable child.
(Excited) He's the coolest in the universe! And once I get my quirk, I'm gonna be just like him!
(Scared/Sad) You're making him cry, Kacchan! If you keep on hurting him, uh... I'll, uh... I'll stop you myself!
(Excited cheers and gasps, maybe a few giggles)
Young Bakugo is a child version of Katsuki Bakugo. This role is only for males as young Bakugo has a slightly deeper voice for a child. We would prefer if you could do one take of the lines slightly grumbled and one take of them normally.
Hmph. You wanna pretend to be a hero? (Grunts like you're slamming your hands together) You don't stand a chance without a quirk.
(Fighting noises but y'know, a child version.)
Aizawa is someone we are supposed to take seriously, but for the sake of our project we want our voice actor to yell most of his lines in the most monotone voice possible. Just don't blow my eardrums out please <3
You punk kids need to learn when it's okay to use your quirks and when it is not.
What are you going to do? Use a quirk you have no control over? That will just render you completely useless and someone else will have to come clean up after you.

For Momo we are looking for someone who is a fast talker, able to not trip over their own words. We want Momo to seem like a know it all.
Hello, I am Momo.
(Talking fast) Well you see, the idea that you present is flawed in many ways, all of which I do not believe you could easily comprehend. Though the thought of quirkless people being lesser than those with quirks is certainly discriminatory, it is not wrong to deny someone based on their inability to complete a task, quirkless or otherwise.
(Fighting sounds)
Himiko Toga is a villain so she should sound slightly like a sociopath in her lines, no matter what emotion shes portraying. Ultimately overall her voice she be a little bit valley girl, like she is just a teenager.
(Excited) Wow it's the weird hand guy! You're friends with my hero, Stain, right? Cool! Let me join the league, I wanna be in your group.
I've been thinking since I saw you, that you'd be so much cuter if you just bled a little more!
(Fighting sounds)
For Tomura we're looking for sort of a drab, just bored with life type of voice. He is a villain so he will have to be able to portray some crazy outburst moments, but typically he will just sound bored.
Even if this hero society comes crashing down... even if I rise to rule the underworld... that weight in my heart is never gonna go away. It's why I hate everything. Every living, breathing thing just rubs me the wrong way. So why not destroy it all? Why not destroy everything?
To create a world without All Might. And cause enough destruction to show them all how fragile their justice really is. From this day forward... that's my conviction. It's all about All Might.
(Fighting sounds)

Kirishima is one of those silly supporting characters who's usually there for comic relief, so whatever voice you think suits these lines is fine.
Just because I hang out with stupid people, doesn't mean I am stupid. I happen to be an intellectual.
Is cereal a soup or not? It doesn't make any sense because, if you think about it, it's totally a soup. But it's cold.
(Fighting sounds)
Basically, in the show when Kaminari uses his powers he becomes an idiot. For the purpose of the show, we want to do the opposite and have him become super smart and studious.
(After using powers, so he's a hella smart boy) As Albert Einstein once theorized, e=mc squared and even though no one I asked, I just thought I would share that I knew that.
(Back to his normal self) Listen, idiot, cereal is not a soup. It's a broth because the cereal soaks in it and the milk absorbs its flavor.
(Fighting noises)
For Mineta, we really really want someone with a deep, smoldering sort of superhero voice. As stereotypical as it gets.
Women are the ultimate creation in this world. They are drop dead gorgeous and I would die at the opportunity to lay down and have one of them use me as a door mat.
If a man does not come to the aid of a woman, they are nothing but a sham.
(Fighting sounds)
Recovery Girl is an old lady so we're looking for stereotypical, overbearing grandma type old lady.
You can't treat him as though he's special. It will feel unfair to the other students.
When are you going to stop being such a dumbass, hmm? Getting hurt all the time is not going to help you in the long run.
Gran Torino is a cocky old man and we need his voice to match.

I forgot to take my medicine this morning, so it's more than likely that I will suffer from some sort of cardiac arrest today. Relax! I'm only partly kidding.
(Fighting sounds, but, like, old man)

- (Relieved/Excited) I knew AllMight would come
- (Panicked) We're doomed! No one is going to save us!
- (On the phone) I'm not sure when I'm going to be home. There's monsters blocking every street
