Hanley didn't always find a place in school easily when she was a child, but the day she found Steven she felt like she had found her place in the world by his side. High school sweethearts turned into a graduation wedding, with a surprise baby waiting. Things weren't always easy. They kept a roof over the kids heads, went without meals, struggled to go to school and work, and Steven's gender identity struggle, but they made it. Twenty-one years, nine kids, and two happily married women. Hanley couldn't have asked for a better wife and soulmate than Sadie or be more proud of the people her children grow up to be. A fierce mother whose loyalty is to her family above all else.
