Project Overview
Morvicus is a Murder Mystery x Combat styled RPG that utilizes both story and gameplay mechanics. The story follows 12 teens—some incarcerated, some on death row, and others awaiting trial—who are given a second chance at redemption through a new government experiment named "Project Y: Cadets." The project aims to rehabilitate their criminal tendencies and train them to become junior officers, or "cadets." However, the government's true intentions may not be as straightforward as they appear. Upon entering the mansion in which the kids are meant to be given their first training, something happens and the kids find themselves stuck in the middle of some sort of sinister game.
Warning: The game does include some sensitive topics, so please do be aware before sending in any audition.
The game is extremely early in production and I don't have a set date for when it'll be out, but I hope with this casting call I will be able to find help to make the games creation go by swiftly and turn it into something amazing. This casting call does not cover all the roles needed for the game, so if you aren't contacted immediately, you may still be considered for future roles or tasks. I've been working on this game for about three years, and now I'm looking to expand the team to help turn this dream into reality. Vince is an anxious teenage boy who longs to fit in and avoid judgment from others. Lacking a strong sense of self-identity, he often mimics or follows the actions of those he admires, hoping to gain their approval. Vince tends to ramble, stutter, and overshare, frequently speaking without thinking, which fuels his self-doubt and regret. He prefers to blend into the background and struggles when pushed out of his comfort zone. Despite his insecurities, Vince is a fiercely loyal friend who will go to great lengths for those he cares about, desperate for their validation and just happy to feel like he’s not "totally screwing up."
Throughout the story he presents a wide range of emotions and goes through a pretty heavy character arc, while not every line of the game will be voice acted, I need someone who can really give off raw emotions, as if they are really feeling what a young boy would feel in such a gruesome game such as this.
I'm particularly looking for a voice that can capture the awkwardness yet unintentional confidence of Vince. As well, Vince would most likely try to force his voice to sound "cool" but not in a totally blatant way, just move it down a pitch or two from his natural voice, speaking from the back of his mouth, almost as if he is trying to hide. He can go from speaking at the speed of light to stuttering almost syllable depending on the subject of which he is talking about. Overall though, I am open to hearing any type of impression that the voice actor has in mind for Vince, I don't have a totally set idea for his voice in my head, so I really am open to anything.

That night..in that night something changed. While I didn't really feel it at first, or even for a while, I know its what made me this.. *this* way. Kaori is a gentle and caring teen who exudes a calm, almost sleepy aura. She dislikes chaos and strives to maintain peace, even if it means playing devil's advocate to resolve conflicts. Though kind-hearted, she is not naive; Kaori remains composed and calculated when given the space to think clearly, but loses confidence when suddenly put under pressure or overwhelmed by noise. Often regarded as "the perfect girl," Kaori would disagree, whether due to her belief that no one is truly perfect or because of a deeper internal struggle. She frequently spaces out, giving her a distant, dreamy quality that makes her endearing.
I’m looking for a voice actor who can capture Kaori's subtle emotional shifts. Although she remains composed and steady regardless of what she’s feeling, there should be small details in her tone that hint at the underlying emotion, noticeable to those who listen closely. The ideal voice for Kaori is cute and natural, without sounding overly processed or exaggerated. Her speech is soft and deliberate, with a slight slur, and she talks at a pace that’s easy to follow, ensuring each word carries meaning and weight. She has a slight nasally voice and speaks from the front of her mouth.

Rowan is a red head with a strong yearn for power and fame. When she has a goal she stays focused and determined, refusing to stop until getting the result she sought for. She has an issue when it comes to making her plans plausible and realistic though, prioritizing how fast she can finish something than how high quality the product actually is. She considers herself to be a famous internet troll and flaunts this, making a point to tell everyone how much better she is than them to disguise her eternal struggle with need for attention and her fear of being forgotten. Loud and opinionated, Rowan makes sure her voice is heard, never second-guessing herself and wearing a confident mask even in moments of insecurity.
I am looking for someone who can really speak from their chest and can capture the cheekiness of Rowans being, delivery on most lines should sound borderline sarcastic, as if she is mocking whoever she's speaking to.While I’m open to a range of voice pitches—whether high or low—the delivery should always convey her smug confidence. Even when upset, Rowan keeps a smile in her voice, though her volume and bravado may drop when she’s flustered or caught off guard. I am open to hearing basically anything for her voice as long as the delivery of the lines fits Rowan.

Charlie is a sweet boy of god, he believes we all are equals and chooses to treat people the way he wants to be treated. He believes in second chances and refuses to take things personally; he always will take the fall for friends or those in need. Raised in a very traditional household, Charlie is a bit naive and out of touch with modern standards, which makes him vulnerable to manipulation. While some may think he's too nice, Charlie would argue that others aren't kind enough . Charlie believes in chivalry and holds his male friends to the same standards as himself, this being one of the few things he will actually get angry about. Overall, Charlie is a quirky boy, who always has a pep in his step and always wants to see a smile on his peers faces.
I’m looking for someone who can bring out Charlie's cheerful, happy-go-lucky attitude. His voice can have a bit of a cartoony quality, with exaggerated emotions that add a touch of comedy to his lines. While his reactions are often over the top, they should still feel grounded enough to show the genuine kindness and depth in his character. I'm open to different interpretations, so feel free to try out anything that you think would work for Charlie.

Rina is a player of the game of life, she believes you need rules to live in a peaceful society and makes it her job to not only follow but enforce them too. She understands how the world works and approaches life with a fearless attitude, believing that she has a solution to nearly any problem that could arise. Rina holds herself and others to high standards, which can come off as harsh or rude, but her strictness stems from a place of tough love. She has a habit of watching people struggle on things she knows she could easily fix, coming in to help on the last moment so she can be their knight shining armor, she does this partially to feel entertained, but also because it feeds into her small, yet obvious superiority complex.
I am looking for someone whose voice, tone, and delivery can make the listener feel belittled and insecure, as if Rina's very words are meant for the player or listener rather than the actual character she is talking to. She should convey a passive-aggressive attitude, where the rudeness is subtle and implied—you have to read between the lines to catch the full meaning of what she says. Rina speaks very properly, taking care not to stutter, slur, or say anything careless; every word is intentional and calculated. She acts similarly to a bully you'd find in a real high school, nothing too cartoony, and a type of rudeness that is hard to explain to others, but you know deep down what it means. Besides this everything else can be left up for interpretation, as I can imagine multiple types of voices for her.

My main vision for the music is alternative classical with some slight blue jazz incorporations, overall though very raw music

I’m looking for fellow writers to help bring the script of the game to life. The story and major plot points are already established, but I need assistance in writing the actual dialogue and fully fleshing out the ideas into a video game format. The game's main themes revolve around emotion and morality, so I’m seeking writers who can dive deep into character motivations and emotions, and are skilled at portraying how characters truly feel and why they behave the way they do.
While experience is a plus, I’m open to working with amateur writers as long as they demonstrate quality in their writing. If you’re interested, please send in examples of past work. I understand that some may have NDAs regarding previous scripts, so the samples don’t need to be in script format. However, they should showcase an understanding of character depth and emotion.
