Project Overview
"Monsterkind is a story about humans and monsters living in a country ruled by segregation and inequality. Monsters are treated as second class citizens, and are not allowed in certain areas of the country- especially those inhabited by wealthier humans. Wallace Foster is a human who has just been transferred into District C of Fairway. He has never lived among monsters until now, but he's quickly realizing that they aren't as bad as everyone has made them out to be. Change and progression have never come easy in this backwards world, but perhaps Wallace can help close the gap between human and monster kind and bring the two together in harmony. He'll at least try."--

Maggie is one of Kip and Wallace's clients. She keeps a dour demeanor and is, more often than not, friendly.
I'd recognize those cold hands anywhere.. It's been a while, Kip.
Kip and I were friends before he moved away all those years ago. It sounded like a nice way to catch up, especially since I havent talked to him in so long.
Just this for today, Briggs.
Tone: Low-Medium (Give him a surfer dude kinda voice)
Pascal Briggs (commonly referred to as Briggs), is a monster, and supporting protagonist in Monsterkind. He owns a shop called Big Brigg's Teas. Briggs is a very kind and open guy. He is very friendly and accepting with anyone of any species.
Crazy stuff happens around there, man, You should come see us sometime.
Aw man, dude's something else. His roommate Louise works at my shop. Small world, man. Small world.

They'll kick your butt and then make you thank them for it. Recently started working at Pascals Tea Shop. Very protective of Charlie. Doesn't abide by the rules or the gender binary.

It doesnt matter to ME. However, it matters to any monsters youre trying to help. They dont like having humans tell them how to live their lives. Especially not ones from District A.

Biv is an eccentric, optimistic, and outgoing monster. He is extremely well known in the protest and activist community. He attends almost every protest he can get to, and is also a strong supporter of equality between monsters and humans. Biv is extremely friendly with absolutely everyone, and while he may not always think before acting, his intentions are good. He genuinely cares about his friends and wants to make the world a better and brighter place.

Calm, quiet, collected, Ben is the landlord of the apartment complex of where the heroes live. Despite the huge chip on his shoulder, he is a very kind and caring man. He usually knows when something's up, and can read people rather well. He also really likes to bring Wallace breakfast for some reason??
I used to have a friend like you. Wanted to make a difference, but didn't know where to start. She was also a human from District A. It took a long time and a lot of work but.. she helped.
It's a bit hard to give you a bullet point list, Wallace. She just genuinely cared about everything. She mae every effort to understand the way people felt and why. She was a bit relentless, really.

Cuddy is a quiet, stoic lady. Even when picking on her employees, she speaks in monotone while her facial expression stays at a normal rate of "unimpressed". She is open minded and makes an effort to cater to everyone regardless of race. She opened her integrated cafe in the middle of District C in hopes that it would promote acceptance and equality. It is a popular food joint due to desegregation and the fact that Kip works there.
What was that one nickname of yours?
Oh, hah, I'm bringin' it back all right. As soon as I remember it.
Kip.. You attract a lot of girls. Lots of girls. And dudes. Its a fact

The youngest of the group. Molly is seen as a sort of mother figure as she is extremely patient, loving, and understanding. She's been friends with Kip since they were kids, and they have taken care of each other since. Molly enjoys socializing and getting to know people. She is very trusting, and enjoys reaching out to those in need. Molly is also super independent and is ready and willing to dish out "tough love" when needed.
(Excited) What are you doing here? You dont work today!

The first human resident to ever move into Ben's apartment complex. Wallace is a young social worker. He's a bit on the nervous side, and even moreso after being relocated to a different part of the city to live and work with monsters. For someone who has grown up his entire life in a rich, human-inhabited section of the city, Wallace is a little ignorant and naive to the true nature of monsterkind. He's never even seen a monster in person until now.
Well, there's not much else I can do. This is my job, and, y'know? I'm okay with it.. I'm.. just hoping things will go smoothly.
Well.. A lot of people sort of.. watched me and followed me around while I was moving stuff earlier. They seemed pretty nervous about me being there.
Well.. to be honest.. they didn't really give me a choice.
Tone: Medium (Im thinking kind of a Neil Patrick Harris voice..?)
Eno is fun, silly, clumsy, and a bit crazy. He enjoys making puns, and annoying his client and friend, Kip. He is observant and caring about what Kip has to share. He can come off as flamboyant and flirty.
If I say "yes", can you use your ice powers to make a compress for my totally not hurt tailbone?
This is why we cant have ICE things, Kip. Maybe you just need to chill out! Wouldn't want to ice-olate yourself.. It's snow problem if you're feeling frosty! It's cool.

Kip is a well known social figure in District C, and he believes strongly in equality between humans and monsters. While he is rather young, Kip has suffered a great loss that he prefers to not talk about. He is a man with a strong drive to make Fairway City a better place to live for both human and monsterkind.
While generally cold and distant, he is extremely protective of his loved ones, and acts very cautiously in order to keep them out of harm.

(Sarcastic) Oh, I know all about what happened earlier. There are only several reports, pictures, and videos up.
Until we know who this human is and exactly what he wants.. You will not SPEAK to him. You will NOT ASSOCIATE with him. I need to know if he's safe first. Do you understand me, Roy?

Kate is a waitress at Cuddy's Cafe. She is a super sassy tomboy, and loves to mess with people. Kate has been friends with Kip for a few years, and is extremely against prejudice and hate towards monsters. She thinks segregation is really stupid.
Kate loves photography, and carries a camera nearly everywhere she goes. She occasionally participates in rallies and protests, and supplies Kip with photos for his blog.

Charlie has violent mood swings, and is often violent, angry, and harsh. He has extreme trust issues with humans. However, he feels remorse after what he had done to Wallace, and wants to know if he is alright. He tries hard to contain his anger, and to not attack anyone. He also likes flowers, and may use them to help him cope.
