Monster High : Audio Drama CASTING CALL
Project Overview
Hello, ghouls and mansters!
I am hosting a casting call that is an ongoing project for the first book in the Monster High series by Lisi Harrison. I was given consent by the author herself to be able to create this project. I am looking for a couple of male voices.
This project is made into an audio drama, podcast production series. The chapters are put together into episodes that will be uploaded onto YouTube.
About Lisi’s Monster High
The main characters being Frankie Stein and Melody Carver. The two new girls begin their high school days at Merston High School in Salem, Oregon. But something is hiding beside the “normies”... Monsters… or should I say RADs (Regular Attribute Dodgers.) The RADs have been living in disguise for many years, working and going to school alongside the humans. Monster High is about teenage high school romance, and drama, as well as trying to fit in.
Deadline
The deadline for auditions is February 8th, 2022. The deadline may be extended if certain roles haven't been found yet. Voice actors that have been cast will be notified by February 10th,2022.
If casted you will join the project's Discord server where you will be welcomed to interact with other voice actors and crew that will be a part of the project. As well as receiving scripts and doing read-throughs through scheduled voice calls to receive notes and critique before recording lines.
What I’m looking for (PLEASE READ)
- A fun and ambitious cast and crew. Having people who get along well and are excited to get to work on a project work more efficiently for the production to get done quicker.
- Clean audio. I prefer that you have either a USB or XLR microphone to record your lines. As well as being able to minimize any background noise or static.
- Please record your lines RAW. Do not add effects to your audio for that will be done by the audio engineers.
- You may clip your lines to showcase your best/favorite takes. 3 takes for one line max.
- Submit your recordings as one .wav file
- At least 16+
- Able to be a part of a long term project. I am hoping to do all four books that are in the Monster High series.

Grandson of the famous Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, Jackson has had a normal life... or so he had thought. When it gets too hot and he starts to sweat he becomes someone else... D.J. Hyde. Both so very different from each other.
Jackson is a nerd, both quirky, and shy. His voice I describe it to be a tenor, and his tone sounds soft spoken, and humble. I also imagine his voice being a bit higher than D.J.'s Here's a voice sample of how I imagine Jackson's voice to sound like.

D.J. on the other hand is a lady's man and a big flirt. He gets annoyed seeing Melody around because she's always there when he transforms. His voice in the book is described to sound like Chuck Bass from Gossip Girl. Also a baritone, his voice is lower than Jacksons and his tone is more sexy and smooth.

Heath Burns is the son of a fire elemental, Jacksons cousin and Bretts best friend. He loves to tease people in a playful way.
He has a nasally voice that also cracks, kind of like he's going through late puberty in high school.
