Momentum™ Is a Minecraft Roleplay series that will serve as a prerequisite to the series "When worlds Collide™" Where we follow the lives of Alyx, Liam, and their various friends as they make their way through their final year at Momentum Academy.
What is Momentum Academy? Why is it special?
Momentum Academy is a school for students with academic talent. Of course, that is not their only strong suit. This school has been known to produce some of the best student-athletes known in recent years. They are, however, most popular for turning out prodigies who receive their famous Potential Scholarship. There are only a handful of winners every year, and our main characters are fighting for their chances.
Rules and Expectations
- Please be at least age 16 to take part in his project!
- Have a decent mic. It does not have to be studio quality!
- Have an open mind to timing and rescheduling
- I am not asking you to be available 25/8, and I expect the same.
- Things happen and episodes can be postponed. Do not let that be a discouragement.
- If your character is not a feature in episode one, fear not! I would not be casting people I did not need.
- Be respectful of every other cast member's race, culture, sexuality, religion, etc. This is no place for hate and you will be removed!
- Be kind!
- I am not saying you have to put on a facade, but you must be respectful and treat everyone as you would treat them in any other work environment.
- We can be friends, but remember boundaries are important even in that regard.
- In the same right, if something makes you unhappy, speak out! do not let it boil over and explode on people later on.
- Please please please have, and list, your discord!
- You will be sent a link to the server soon after casting concludes.
- I ask that You keep your CCC messages open and follow me so that I can send this link.
- If you don't follow me, I will have to message you directly on Discord.

Tips for the Following Roles
- These characters are not children
- They are young adults, so their voices will reflect that
- This is meant to be an immersive series
- Incessant background noise, regardless of mic quality, will be an immediate turn away
- Speak clearly!
- Try not to sound too nasally or muffled unless the roll calls for it.
- Articulate emotion well if auditioning for an emotional character!
- There will be lines to test this for each character with a specific voice.
- Further tips will be added if necessary.

Gen Character Info
Kadijah is Alyx's best friend. They've been close since elementary school, and neither of them intend on ever ending this friendship. While her friend, Alyx is louder and more impulsively opinionated, Kadijah is calm and often acts as a voice of reason. She expresses her opinions equally as loud, though, which has gotten the two of them into some trouble.
School matters quite a lot to Kadijah. While Alyx is trying to go to college on an athletic scholarship, Kadijah is trying for the Potential Scholarship, an academic scholarship for the best students at Momentum Academy. This means that, above all else, her grades and relationships mean the most to her.
Voice Info
Kadijah is very much African American, meaning I would prefer someone of a similar background audition for her. While no race has one voice, authenticity is important to me.
Dialect aside, Kadijah Has a based voice. It is not loud, but it is toned at a moderately low tone. She sounds how many would describe someone of the "chill" variety.

It's fine, Alyx, but you've gotta learn how to do better if you really see this as a "competition." Otherwise, you're going to end up with chances no better than anyone else. Come on, it'd go to Carmen's and try to get your mind off of things.

A few times. She’s not as scary as she wants to be.
The whole “quiet loner” act isn’t really an act with her, though.

Basic Desc
Andy is a pretty decent guy. All around caring, sometimes to a detrimental degree—Andrew is a selfless 'older brother' type. Often found making jokes to lighten the mood of tough situations and offering advice when he's asked. He likes to think of himself as emotional support.
Ever since Kaylee broke things off with him, he's found himself at the mercy of Alyx and Kadijah. They are now a decently close trio and they do a lot of things together after school. A while back, he introduced the girls to Carmen's, a local cafe that was known for frequenting elders. They got slack for it at first, but after a while, people stopped caring, and they became well-known frequents as well.
Voice Desc
Andrew has a mid-tone voice. He speaks with what can only be described as an "inside voice," but can get rowdy if the situation calls for it. He sounds like your typical young man, really. There isn't too much bass in his voice, but it is sturdy.
[He runs up to Alyx while she’s at her locker. He is holding a cookie.]
Hey, Alyx! Noticed you weren’t having a good time back there, so instead of giving you this at lunch... I’ll give it to you now. Hope you like it! I made a whole batch of them myself.
[thy're talking about the stress of being friends with a hardworking characer]
True. Considering Alyx is the hardest working person I know, I’m sure I’d grow grey hairs just trying to be friends with Melissa.

Character desc
Liam is new in town. He was sent down by his parents to come and live with his grandmother. Even he does not fully understand why he has to live with her, but he enjoys the good schools in the area. His goal was to get a full-ride scholarship anyway, so his chances were increased here. It still does not make up for the putrid smell of cat pee that coated his grandmother's home, though. That was the first thing he made sure to get rid of when he arrived, and he became quite the skilled cleaner in the process. He had to if he wanted to keep up his habit of group study sessions.
Voice Desc
Liam is very soft-spoken, but he does not sound shy. Everything he says is with a certain level of laid-back confidence. He simply speaks his mind and comes off as doing nothing more and nothing less.

[talking to his grandmother about her hobbies. he is really talkative when things interest him]

Alyx, right? I know we do not talk much, but your friends have enlisted my help. They say you need a confidant that works as hard as you do and chose me because they, and I quote, "did not even bother asking Melissa," so here we are, haha.
Truth be told, I believe our reasons for being here are very different. School interests me. I like learning new things and reflecting on past experiences. That's the only reason I agreed to go to school here... but, you? You seem to have goals past the academic spectrum, and I'm not referring to your athleticism.

Kaarlo is our local party boy! At least... that's how he likes to consider himself. "School can't always be boring," he says. That is a statement he lives by. He wants to get into a good college and become a sturdy member of one of their fraternities. Frat parties are the best parties, he reckons. He isn't all fun and games, though. Kaarlo does his best to keep up his grades, especially since he had not always done so. He has a lot to make up for if he wants to boost his GPA. He is good friends with Liam because of this.

Kaarlo, much like Andrew, has a mid-tone voice. Despite this, that mid-tone is often forgotten with how loud he can get. Kaarlo is easily worked up

Character Desc
“Zen” is what you could call him. Joe is the kind of guy to meditate in the woods. He joined one of Liam’s study sessions and ‘liked the vibe,’ so he stayed and they became friends, His grades aren't the best, but that’s ok because he doesn't care all too much. He only goes to the meetings because he likes seeing his friends. Despite the behavior he displays, which many may consider a bit 'looney,' he is one of the most loyal and honest friends you could ever have,

Joseph speaks slowly and always sounds very calm. His voice is a bit deeper than most of his friends', but not to a degree where you'd question his age.
[he is speaking to his sister about a big event coming up while she is freaking out over it]
Come now, Aubrey... this is not truly so bad. This is simply the universe trying to teach you a lesson. Let the situation run its course and- Oh- The gala is tonight? Dearest me, I must've forgotten. Alright, sister, I will give you a ride. This must be my calling for today.

It doesn't matter how the world sees you as long as you enjoy what you see in the mirror. Align yourself with the world and hear its call. Ignore all mortal opinions and live life to the fullest!
Character Desc
Melissa is the daughter of the city mayor. Her father was the one to bring Momentum Academy into the public as it is now, and she has never really lived it down. For this reason, when she entered high school, she took on the persona of someone who works hard and is friends with little to no one. She is not mean by any chance, but she does distance herself from everyone. This is why she is seen almost nowhere, but she is "friends" with one of the most popular girls in school. Not even Melissa herself quite understands how her life came to this point.
Vocal Desc
Melissa is also an African American character, and I would prefer her VA to reflect that as well. This does not include a specific dialect, simply a preferred choice in casting. Her voice is a bit deep, always sounding rather tired. She is not loud, but she is loud enough to be heard by everyone around her regardless of what she is saying. This stems from her lack of fear when it comes to speaking her mind.

[she is having a conversation with Kaylee about her... 'intentions.' Melissa is a very calm character, so instead of yelling, she is speaking softly.]

Heh, people like you are real funny, Kaylee. You're like a leech... All you do is drain people of their energy and use it for yourself. If I'm being honest, I don't know how I managed to keep you around for this long.
I mean, what did you hope to gain? Money? Fame? My dad doesn't even like you. The only reason I let you stay around me was to make him think I had friends. If I told him why you were hanging out with me, you'd never be welcomed in my house again—heck, he might even find a way to kick you from Momentum because your "values" don't align.
What you did today was the last straw. I'm done with you, Kaylee. You'll never be famous if you think this is the way to get there. Go cry about your vain goals to someone who cares.
Character Desc
Melissa's "best friend," and she makes sure everyone knows it. Kaylee believes that the closer she gets to Melissa, the better off she will be getting close to the Mayor. Now that would be a good letter of recommendation, right? All Kaylee really wants is to be famous. For this reason, when she heard Momentum Academy had such a popular sports section, she knew she had to go there. Her tennis "career" could take off! Meeting the Mayor's daughter on her first day, too? She was living the dream!
Vocal Desc
Kaylee has a sickeningly sweet voice. It's oftentimes a little hard to tell if she's being kind or condescending. The only people she is openly underhanded towards are those in her way. Otherwise, she sounds all uppity and nice!

Just don’t be late to practice. You know it starts right after school.

Character Info
Aubry is one of Kadijah's estranged friends. They still talk from time to time, but they are not nearly as close as they once were. They do still share the same values, though Aubry is far quieter than Kadijah. She rarely speaks her mind or gives advice, but she does try to keep the peace. Now, she is one of Melissa's closet confidants and Kaylee envies her greatly.
Vocal Info
If I'm being honest, I have no specific voice in mind for Aubry. Something soft would be nice, but something a little stronger would also fit. Play with it and let me hear how you think this character should sound!

I'll be honest, Melissa, I don't think we should go. We're not exactly socially skilled... but, it's up to you. Do you want to go, or would you rather watch movies with me? Either way, I'll completely support you.
Can you not? I'm reading, and this book has just gotten to the good part. Interrupt me again, and I'm locking the door.
The mother of our MC. She is equally as outspoken as her daughter and was an active social justice warrior in her younger years. Now, she focuses on her family and keeping them well provided for, but she encourages her children to follow in her footsteps. Her voice is that of a spunky older woman.
[her daughter is late to school because of her so she is sympathetic, but her voice is loud because she is shouting across rooms]

"Destiny?" Your destiny isn't determined by how hard you work or what schools you go to! It's determined by the changes you make and the people you impact. Don't worry about your destiny right now, you're barely an adult. Focus on finding a purpose.
He is best known for his time in office spending resources on founding MSU. This school is known for its high academic awards and its good sports teams. Many of their students end up well renowned or famous. They are in cahoots with ASU (Academy Success University), a new, straight-to-the-point university that produces the best of the best. It is no easy school to attend, despite the cheesy name. The Mayor is MSU's founder, biggest sponsor, and the father of one of their best students, Melissa.
This character is African American and I would appreciate it if those who auditioned also fit into that category. He is minor in this series, but major in the one that is up and coming.

Opening MSU has got to be my second-best accomplishment on this earth.
What was the first?
Well, there are really two things at a tie for first! Marrying my beautiful wife and having a wonderful baby girl. Those are my true proudest achievements, and I love them dearly.

Carmen is the owner of Carmen's. She opened her Cafe fresh out of business school, and it's been busy ever since. Though she did not attract the kind of customers she thought she would, she enjoys the company and stories of her elderly patrons. Be this as it may, Carmen is ever grateful to Andrew for bringing in some of her target customers. She has the voice of a friendly young woman, but she sounds confident in everything she says at all times
