MODULE : YAWN [personal project]

MODULE : YAWN [personal project]

Project Overview

Hi!!! I'm creating a short animated educational video (approximately 4 minutes) for the a Video Contest.

The video follows a group of trainee secret agents learning about contagious yawning through a fictional agency training module called Y.A.W.N. The project explores the neuroscience behind yawning, including contagious yawning, brain mechanisms, and current scientific theories about why yawning occurs.

This will be a visual novel-esque, tweened animation which is non-commercial, created for educational purposes and contest submission.

Requirements

Clear microphone audio without background noise ( professional equipment not required )

Oh my god!! I can't believe how many submissions we've got in a day (even a single submission was a miracle, honestly). Just a few updates and things to keep in mind:

🩷 This won't be actually animated and will just be rough tweening. Overall, this project is mainly so I could explore and research on the science of yawning. Not professional at animation at all.

🩷 Just added Dr. Bennet's design!!

🩷 AXON's design will probably be shortened into just the face to fit in the screen.

🩷 There is a sixth character - Agent Anya - who's not listed. This is because I'll be voicing her.

Thanks to everyone who's auditioned till now! :)

  • WELCOME, Cadets! Today's last module is what we call Yielded Attention Warning Network or 'Y.A.W.N'. Today, you will learn how our agents use yawning to identify rival operatives. But BE WARNED! They may use this technique against you. Therefore: DO NOT YAWN WITHOUT SUPERVISION.

  • To summarise, "DO NOT YAWN IN THE PRESENCE OF A SUSPECT." "DO NOT YAWN AT FELLOW AGENTS." "DO NOT YAWN AT YOURSELF IN A MIRROR."

  • There are a few theories circulating in the scientific community. One theory suggests yawning as a body movement which helps moving fluids around the brain. Research suggests that yawning can play a role in cleaning brain fluid, which would most likely happen close to bedtime. AXON, continue.

  • Good evening, cadets. Agent Rowan, please don't fall asleep.
