Mobile Suit Gundam: A New Era
Project Overview
A fan series that takes inspiration from various works of the Mobile Suit and MegaMan universes. Additional roles will be added later on.
"The year, Orbital Age 100. This year marks a century since mankind has colonized space. What was meant to help preserve the human race while reaching further into the cosmos has turned into a source of conflict. The tyrannical government of Earth has ruled the colonies with an iron fist. Exploiting the colonies for resources only found in space. 5 young warriors, and their mobile suits called Gundams, embark towards Earth to guide humanity to a new future."

Rock Light is a 21 year old Gundam pilot. He pilots the Wing Gundam provided to him by Dr. Thomas Light. Rock is unaware of his birth name and goes by the code name X. He has been trained since a very young age to be the ultimate solider. Due to this, he can be very analytical and come off as cold even though he is has a big heart by nature. He loves outter space and his fellow space noids. He gladly accept any mission given to him by Dr. Light if it means bringing peace to space. He has also shown tendencies of being a "new type" human. This theory was first brought forth by Dr. Light, but has been unconfirmed to be the next step in human evolution.
"Peace is nothing but a result of war."
Context: Character is having a debate over the validity of disarmament and pacifism
"There's nothing wrong with acting on your emotions. At least, that's what I was told."
Context: Character is referencing prior advice that the character he directed this quote once gave him. This comes after being scolded for reacting recklessly in combat by the individual he is conversing with.
"I will protect the ones I hold dear to my heart. My enemies are the ones who wish to take them from me. That's what Wing Zero has shown me."
Context: Character is speaking one on one with another character in regards to what the Zero Piloting System has shown him.
Bass is a 21 year old Gundam pilot. He was trained by Dr. Light and gifted Gundam Deathscythe. Bass' life has been surrounded by tragedy. He is the son of church leaders who had a lot of positive influence on their colony's people and church's congregation. St the age of 8 he lost both parents when his father voiced his disapproval of the treatment of Space noids in their colony. After the incident Bass bounced around between orphanages and rebel groups. No matter where he went tragedy followed. He is adept at infiltration and assassination missions.....so much so he is known as the Grim Reaper amongst rebel groups in space.
"There is no God!"
Context: Character makes this statement to an opposing mobile suit pilot who yells "please God no!" As Bass is about to destroy his suit and him.
"Sorry, but once an enemy has seen me......they aren't allowed to live."
Context: character states this when 2 enemy mobile suits and a carrier air ship attempts to flee after engaging combat with Bass' Gundam
"I wouldn't recommend it. Getting blown up hurts like hell."
Context: Character says this in a light hearted manner when a fellow Gundam pilot mentions using the self detonation device in their mobile suit.
Axl is a 21 year old Gundam pilot. He pilots Heavyarms and is very skilled at using a variety of firearms. He was raised by a former assassin who worked under Dr. Light after the death of his mother. Once his father was killed in action, Dr. Light took him and trained him to be a Gundam pilot. Axl fights ruthlessly in combat and in a style that will result in the destruction of his enemies.....or him running out of ammo. Axl was raised on the battlefield and it is the only home he has ever known.
"They say human wisdom can overcome our problems, is violence considered wisdom these days?"
Context: Character replies with this statement while discussing the progress humans have made. He is skeptical of said progress being actual progress.
"The battlefield is the only home I'm ever known. When I engage in battle with other soldiers, I feel fulfilled. Is this what it means to be a soldier? To never have a home?"
Context: Character reflects to himself while waiting for his target to come into range of his firearm. He is watching families past by his hideout thinking about all the battles he has fought in his life.
"I will correct the mistakes brought on by the weak leaders in history. I will bring peace to outer space!"
Context: Character is engaged in battle while being severely out numbered by his enemies. He is finding his resolve as he continues to fight against the odds.
Django, is the youngest of the Gundam pilots at 18 years old. His age is not the only thing that separates him from the other pilots. Unlike the others, he is from Earth and the son of one of the top generals for the Earth's military. After an argument with his father over the treatment of Spacenoids, Django runs away from home where he meets Dr. Light in his travels through space. Under the training of Dr. Light, he learns to pilot Sandrock. Django is an optimistic young man who believes peace between Earth and the colonies is possible.
"There is nothing more valuable than life in this universe"
Context: Character states this when asked why he allowed enemy pilots to live.
" That's funny. It seems I have tears in my eyes... but I'm not one bit sad."
Context: Character states this after becoming apathetic to the world due to his experiences.
"Please guide me Sandrock. Help me make the right choice."
Context: Character is having a reflective conversation with his Gundam before the final battle.
Leviathan is a 21 year old Gundam pilot who operates the Shenlong Gundam. Leviathan comes from a colony that still adheres to traditional customs and values. Leviathan is a fierce and skilled warrior who fights with a sense of justice. She loves her people and will sacrifice her life to protect them. She is a well rounded individual is who not only skilled in combat, but versed in philosophy and other topics of academia.
"I will determine justice!"
Context: Character makes this comment while rushing into battle.
"When your enemy is making a mistake don't interrupt him."
Context: Character makes this comment in a mocking manner to the other Gundam pilots when enemy soldiers make mistakes in battle
"The ones who are tasked with guiding the future have to be strong."
Context: Character states this to fellow Gundam pilots before the final battle
Zero is a Lt. in the Earth's military. He is a formidable mobile suit pilot. He joined the military to serve his people and protect them. He has an great amount of respect from those below and above him in rank. Zero is becoming increasingly aware of the injustices being directed towards the space noids, and this has created internal conflict for him as he tries to fulfill his duties. Zero will eventually acquire the Epyon as he figures out what his course of action should be.
"It's not X you should worry about -- it's me!!"
Context: Character exclaims this as he charges into battle.
"NO THIS ISN'T HAPPENING, THERE IS NO REASON FOR ME TO GO ON, WHAT.. WHAT AM I FIGHTING FOOOOOOOOOOR?!"
Context: Character just witnessed the death of his love interest
"Epyon, please show me the way.....what am I to do?"
Context: Character ponders about the future in his Gundam.
