Mobile Suit Abridged: Gundam Wing - Song Cover (Piano/Other Classical Instruments Preferred)
Project Overview
What we are looking for is a cover of the MIDI song "Seaside" from the SNES game "Gundam Wing: Endless Duel" (shown in the video above). We want to slow it down and isolate it to a calmer, more soothing sound without as much accompaniment. The song can also simply take inspiration from the source material, rather than follow its notes directly; a 1:1 performance is not necessary and we encourage creative thinking as you translate it to instruments.
This song will be used for a character theme in our parody of Gundam Wing, primarily for emotional and soft spoken moments between two characters. So we want the song to be less high energy, more mellow and somber. And we would prefer recorded instruments over electronic recreations, if possible. If you work primarily with digital instrumentation, we'd still like to hear your demos to see if we like the sound!
This is our first time reaching out for a musical commission outside of our immediate friend group, so we'd like to talk with you, hear samples of your work and discuss time/compensation to make sure we're all on the same page before you start. (The rate and hours expected are placeholders because we really don't know what to expect, being honest. But we will pay for good work, and potentially commission you in the future!)

We want someone who is capable of playing and recording live instruments (preferably piano and/or classic string instruments, perhaps woodwinds) and composing their own cover of a MIDI song. We are not musically trained and will communicate what we want to our best ability, so communication in layman's terms will be very important.
