MMO Dramatis Audio Drama Episode 1+2 Casting Call

Hello, hello all!

MMO Dramatis is a Youtube audio drama that I am starting, almost entirely out of my love for MMORPGs, and because I want to create more original content. The entire story centers around two people: Faust (herr-derr played by me) and Baller (who will not be played by me, after the casting call is done), as they enjoy adventures in an Augmented Reality MMORPG called Dramatis. 

Dramatis is a strange beast of a game. It's world is medieval fantasy, filled with references to things like King Arthur,  and gigantic tentacle monsters. And yet... There are some very modern things, like corn dogs just being sold on the streets. It's developers clearly know how to have fun with their concept, and everyone in the drama's world, loves it.

MMO Dramatis will have two things going on with it: shorts and a bigger series. The shorts will be generally a minute long, and filled to the brim with jokes and fun moments (as shown in the explainer video above).  They're the adventures the characters go on while the bigger series is going on, with their main draw being references to the essential MMO bits and pieces. The bigger series will have a more serious tone,  but still have some fun and comedic moments. It'll be a tale of someone who is breaking away from playing MMOs, while another is just getting started and really into it due to his own reasons. One person is trying to live in reality, after staying away from it for so long, while the other is trying to escape it.  It's a tale that I really want to show everyone, and I can't wait for it to be fully realized.

Characters

One of the character's for episode 1 did not get a single audition... So here's hoping we can change that with this, and give a teaser for the upcoming episode 2! These are the characters we are currently casting for are the following:

Dorian's Mom (Episode 1 and Beyond):

Yeah her  current name is literally Dorian's mom for now.  I'm looking for a... Very motherly type of voice for her. Like... If you were a mother, think about something happening to your child, and that makes you want to just take care and protect them. I don't quite have any specifics for this role, just try your best to sound like a mom. 

She will be especially prominent in later episodes where Dorian is the focus, so her role in the story really isn't small.

Marie Lorell (Episode 2 and Beyond):

Marie Lorell is an old friend of Liam and Dorian. She hung out with them in high school, and was Liam's crush for quite some time. However she couldn't return his feelings, as she had a crush on Dorian. She works as a freelance artist, and is able to live off of the income she gets from that. 

As a person, Marie is really sweet and a bit of an airhead. She's always willing to help her friends, and may make them free art. She seems like she's casually floating through life to some people, but she actually works hard-- her personal artwork often being incredibly detailed and filled with meaning.

For her voice I want a generally bubbly tone. She's a very enthusiastic person, very similar to your usual anime genki girl, but with an airy way of speaking.

The Lost Child (Episode 2):

In Episode 2, Baller and Faust set out on a quest in Dramatis to save a random lost child.  And that lost child, is this lost child.

For this voice, I'm looking for a really... Bratty type of voice. An absolute brat that will argue with everything,  anyone tells it (because it is programmed to). So yeah. Squeaky, angry, and very rude is what I'm looking for.

Argus (Episode 2 and... Beyond?):

Argus is the main villain of Dramatis. The game. Not the audio drama. He pops up a lot throughout the drama... Mainly as. XP.  And to have Baller with moments of dramatic monster fights.

For Argus, I'm looking for a deep voice. A bad ass, hammy monster that enjoys himself a bit too much. He's also fairly sophisticated, but also keep in mind. He's meant to get beaten by our heroes on a daily basis, for XP. So have some comedy in there!

Extras:

I mean. These kinda go without saying. But I will say, that people that do book extra roles, will have the potential to be short listed for bigger roles later, or even more extra roles if you wish!

AND NOW AUDITION RULES

1. Pleeeeeease have a decent mic. Now, I'm not asking for a professional quality recording, nor an expensive microphone, but the recording needs to be clear. 

2. Please provide 2-3 takes per line.

3. Please be nice to others auditioning. Don't be a rude jack ass.

4. Please have fun with it! This project is meant to be fun, and if you're not having fun, then have fun pls.
