Project Overview
This the second and probably last wave where we need staff aka editors, script writers, artists, and a Co-director!!
Series Title: Millard’s Home
Genre: Dark Comedy / Drama (slice-of-life with depressing undertones)
Format: Comic Dub (planned)
Aesthetic: Victorian Gothic heavily inspired by Black Butler. The mansion was built in the 1800s and sits in its own pocket dimension. Residents are expected to follow some old-school manners and fashion for "order," but many tweak or rebel against it.
Core Theme: Letting go of the past.. whether it's trauma, grief, family pressure, or corrupted memories, and learning to build something new in a place where you finally belong.
Tone: Awkward teen humor, dry banter, chaotic house shenanigans, mixed with quiet emotional beats that sneak up and hit hard.
Official Synopsis
Eighteen-year-old Lester wakes up in a massive, living Victorian mansion with zero memory of how he got there. Anxious, moody, and convinced he doesn't need anyone, he's told he's been "saved" by Millard a stern distant angel who runs this sanctuary for misfits who don't fit anywhere else.
Forced to navigate a house full of strange residents from different time periods (each carrying their own problems), Lester awkwardly stumbles through friendships he never wanted... Meanwhile the mansion's pocket dimension keeps getting tested by an outside threat.
Beneath the comedy everyone is quietly learning to let go of what haunts them most including Millard, who's still grieving a past he can't fully share.
Millard’s Home blends Black Butler aesthetic with found family dynamics.

A - Yes! This is just for staff of the project like Co-director, artists, script writers, and editors!
WARNING!!!!!:
This series is 18+ (not because of lewdness but because I'm 19 and I fear that we want adult voice actors and workers!!)
We will be taking this very slowly because burn out happens. Mental health happens. And because we want it to be the best it can be!
This series is LGBTQ+, GENDER QUEER, NEURODIVERGENT, And racially diverse!! Please keep that in mind when you audition because we don't want anyone to bring negativity towards this series or anyone on the team. Trans, Queer, Etc. are also very much allowed to audition!!

Hello! You will be in charge of helping me with the project! You'll have a lot of responsibilities so please don't audition if you're going to forget about this or not have the same amount of passion.
Your responsibilities include:
Keeping everything on schedule
Helping me with ideas
Keep track of who needs to do what
Give me honest opinions on things
Keep me on track as well

You will be in charge of art SPECIFICALLY for promotion! You will make small scenes or still images like a mini comic for the series so we can post it on tiktok, YouTube, anywhere that we can. The voice actors will voice over your work! You will obviously get credited!!
Please be able to:
Draw people of color
Draw humanoids
Draw characters with human upper bodies and animal lower bodies (only two but will be specified if you need)
Somewhat dynamic poses

You will be in charge of art SPECIFICALLY for the comic! You will make the comic backgrounds, help with specific scenes, touch up things, and overall just help me with drawing. You will obviously get credited!!
Please be able to:
Draw people of color
Draw humanoids
Draw characters with human upper bodies and animal lower bodies
Draw dynamic poses
Draw backgrounds
Be able to draw somewhat detailed characters

Writer
You will be in charge of writing promo scripts and the actual story scripts! We will get on call and discuss potential episodes and such so you can write them out. We will need to get on call and such so I can explain characters, information, and other very important stuff to you so you can capture everything to the best of your ability!

Video Editor
You will be in charge of editing videos and audios for the comic or promo videos when everything is ready! We will eventually get in call so I can explain my vision and stuff but please at least know how to edit in the old comic style (example making the image appear before text or something like that)
