Midwich Valley OCT - Voice Needed
Project Overview
Looking for a Voice Actor for a small project of mine regarding an Original Character Tournament called Midwich Valley OCT. <--- Information can be found here.
The character in question is called Jody, they're a researcher/psychologist who focuses on getting by in Midwich [An infinite-sized pocket dimension prison] and how they scrounge by to make a living. Requirements are to make sure you have a good mic quality for I am not too picky for this, it's ultimately a passion project I'm working on in the sidelines as a hobby.

General Notes:
- Bit disorganised, but it could be that they're putting on an act for they have a track record for playing a persona or it being genuine.
- Has some nervous tics in their voice and always seems like they're just a bit on edge [Think Jared from Superjail
- Their origin is unknown but they do hail from somewhere that is reminiscent of the Frontier [19th Century America]
- Non Binary [Can be either masculine or feminine leaning depending on performance.]
- Mid 20 something old adult.
Delivery Notes:
1. Reading from a set of questions presumably from a paper. A mix between casual and formal. Bit nervous in mannerisms.
2. Telling them about themselves. A bit of an unreliable narrator.
3. A moment of pause and wistful reconvene before composing themselves at the end.
Voice Claim: Elijah Wood [Wirt]
[Ultimately not too picky about the general vocal range be it feminine or more masculine leaning, but the main takeaway is that Jody is Nonbinary.]
- nonbinary
- audiobook
- animation/character
- androgynous
- audiobooks
- movie trailer
How did you come across Midwich Valley? Uhh, [Awkward chuckle] Funny story you mention that, sort of against my own will.
I'm kind of a theatre kid at heart, which, may or may not reflect why I'm in here to begin with.
What is your biggest regret? Showing your true self to someone else, only to have them taken away from you- hurts.
