MIDNIGHT | Warrior Cats
Project Overview
Hi ! I'm Eloise, and welcome to the first casting call for my upcoming animated project - Midnight!
I've been an avid Warrior Cats fan ever since I was young, but I've always found the mechanical nature of the text and character interactions slightly off-putting. That's why I've put it upon myself to write and animate my own version of Midnight, following the original storyline, yet composing the script in a way to properly flesh out the characters and character dynamics to their fullest potentials !
BASIC RULES
State the name you’d like to be credited as somewhere in your audition
Try two or more takes of each line to show off your vocal and emotional range !
You don’t have to be the gender or age range shown for these characters
If you are not cast as a character, you may be cast as an extra or crowd voice
This will be a long-term project so please don’t audition if you don’t think that you will stay committed
You MUST join the Discord server, or be contactable through Discord
The deadline is December 5th

A microphone isn't compulsory, but try to keep your voice clear and have as little background noise as possible

Resolute, serious, and arrogant. He tends to worry a lot out of his desperation to prove himself, and always holds himself and others up to the highest standard, taking initiative in times of crisis.

[desperate, frustrated, slightly confused] Bluestar! I don’t understand what you want from me. If you really care about the survival of the clans, you’re gonna have to give me a little more than this.
[gentle, sweet] I know, I know. And you deserve it too. I’m glad you’re feeling better.
[in disbelief, slightly annoyed, joking dryly] Are you serious? Are they a problem? They’d rip you to shreds the second they laid eyes on you. They’d be doing me a favour, really…

Slightly high-pitched raspy female voice full of spunk and vitality ! She speaks quickly, as if her mouth is racing to keep up with her thoughts
TRAITS
Witty, playful, and rebellious she-cat with a strong sense of justice and self righteousness. Bold and argumentative, she behaves very transgressively, especially to those acting like they know better than she does.

[teasing, false excitement hiding annoyance, patronising] Yes, O Great Warrior! If you may impart your divine wisdom on a humble apprentice such as I! Let me know exactly what I can do for you. Do you want me to fall out of a tree next? ‘Cause I can do that!
[excited] *gasps* You’re so right! Make haste, we’ve got no time to spare!
[genuinely apologetic yet slightly manipulative, pleading] I’m sorry. I-I… I’m just so sick of being cooped up in camp, I haven’t been on patrol in days! Please can I come? Brightheart. Please?

TRAITS
Incredibly patient, gentle and maternal, with a playful streak. She has a quiet assertiveness and confidence about her that reaps a lot of respect from her clanmates.

[firm yet slightly reluctant] Fine. But don’t blame me if Dustpelt chews you up and feeds you to his kits when we get back, alright?

[joking, trying to lift the mood] This is my very last hunt as an apprentice. Let’s haul back the fattest load of fresh kill and rub it in that jerk Brambleclaw’s face.

[annoyed] Bad dream? *yawns* Honestly, you’re just as bad as Firestar. When he slept in here, he was always twitching in his sleep, muttering on about fate and prophecies and who knows what.
[paternal, jokingly annoyed] Do you need me to teach you what no means?
[soft and doting] Of course he did. Who wouldn’t be proud mentoring a perfect little scamp like you.
