Project Overview
‘You’re Too Young’ is MeTooStudios’ first audible project, and is a 5 part crime drama exploring grief, depression and the rising knife crimes.
The series will follow Maura Price, a Sheffield Police Officer who is working on the most important case of her life; her daughters murder.
Inspired by the brilliant song, by Lucy Spraggan, ‘You’re Too Young’ will not stray away from getting dark and gritty, and overall not safe for younger listeners.

Maura Price is the main character within the series. Her character goes through a lot and so it is important to be able to show real emotion within your acting.

“Chelsea, I did not send you to that anger management therapy thing, just so that you can continue to use violence!”
“You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against in a court of law. You have the right to an attorney. If you cannot afford and attorney, one will be provided for you.”
“She’s our little angel. She’s gorgeous.”
Chelsea Price is a supporting character within the series. Her character is mostly quite aggressive, but does have her sweet moments.

“Why am I being made out to be the bad guy? I was just helping a friend.”
“Another prime example of the fact that her work is more important than me!”
“I just feel like she’d be better off without me… everyone would.”
Chelsea Price is a supporting character within the series. Her character is innocent and unaware at most.

Rachel Moore is a supporting character within the series. Her character is supportive and great at given advice. She is highly inspirational and acts as Maura Price’s best friend.

“It’s because of her that my lil’ Benji didn’t get his ass whooped!”
“You need to find that balance, or she’s gonna end up tipping to one side and there’s no getting her back.”

Benjamin Matthews is a minor character within the series. His character is your stereotypical “chav”, but he can be vulnerable when it is necessary.

“Somewhere where we can ‘skin up’.”
“She sounds like a bitch.”
“I think I know what could make you feel better!”
Abigail Todd is a minor character within the series. Her character is your very similar to Chelsea Price’s due to her aggressive nature.
Despite having the job of ‘Director’, I do want to see how you can interpret the lines. So there is no guidance in the audition, except the lines.
“Shut the fuck up! Slut.”
“Come here, I wanna talk to you!”
“Fucking whore!”
Sean Price is a minor character within the series. His character is pretty basic, he is simply an unapologetic alcoholic.
Despite having the job of ‘Director’, I do want to see how you can interpret the lines. So there is no guidance in the audition, except the lines.
“Fuck sake… I don’t want your money, Maura.”
“And? Someone need to talk to me?”
“It’s open.”
Laura Godfrey is a minor character within the series. Her character is kind of dopey, but can also give some pretty good advice.

“What are you in for today?”
“Fucking up some-”
“Do we have any leads? Suspects?”
Joshua Thompson is an extra character within the series. He is seen as being caring, by avenging his brother and tracking down his killers.
Despite having the job of ‘Director’, I do want to see how you can interpret the lines. So there is no guidance in the audition, except the lines.
“Fucking up some little shits, who stabbed my brother!”
The Extras are an array of characters, such as; News Reporter, Nurse Ect.

The singer will be required to sing the chorus of ‘You’re Too Young’ to be used in the opening/ending sequence.

The composer will be expected to perform the chorus from ‘You’re Too Young’ by Lucy Spraggan, which will play over the opening/ending sequence.
Please perform a piece of whatever you feel you can do best. (Prefably on Piano or Guitar.)
