"Mano del Diavolo" SVA Sophomore Film
Project Overview
Hello everyone, I am a 2nd year animation student at The School of Visual Arts in NYC, looking for voice actors to provide a couple lines of dialogue for my sophomore film!
My film is "Mano del Diavolo" ("Hand of the Devil"), a 70s giallo style animation that follows a shy man who is tempted by a chiromancer to have his fortune told, although the chiromancer's mystique may be a veil for darker intentions.
The dialogue includes about 2-3 short lines at most, and I am working with a student budget and am willing to pay between $10-$25 depending on the role. Of course you will be credited in the film and I can add social media handles if asked!
DEADLINE FOR AUDITIONS IS NOVEMBER 15TH, 2021, as I am required to have audio cut for animating by this date.

August is timid and shy, and uncertain to be having his palm read. Submissive by nature and hates confrontation.
The tone of his voice should be youthful and soft, if not slightly effeminate. Maybe somewhere in the Elijah Wood range.
**NOTE: CHARACTER DOES NOT SPEAK WORDS; makes such sounds as grunts, groans, hums and yells*
*Groan of uncertainty; contemplative.
*Pained grunt; the pain of a sudden migraine.
*Shocked/fearful gasp or yell, as if pulling away from something terrifying. Follow with labored breathing; running away from what has caused the shock or fear.
**Lloyd's lines can be spoken in either Italian or English. I prefer Italian and am willing to pay extra to VA's willing to learn the Italian lines, but English is of course accepted!
Lloyd is cool and confident, unbothered by most things and carrying a domineering aura. He rarely yields to the opinions of others.
His voice is clear, but very deep in a way that gives an impression of intelligence and authority. In the same vocal range as a middle-aged Christopher Lee.
**Spoken in a low, intimidating tone.
Italian: "Non abbiamo ancora finito."
English: "We're not done here." or "We're not finished yet."
**Spoken with some confidence; casual but mysterious.
Italian: "Sei venuto qui per trovare te stesso... ma sono io che ti ho trovato."
English: "You came here to find yourself... but it is I who has found you."
