Project Overview
Psst... Do you like The Amazing Digital Circus and would you like to hear characters like Pomni, Jax, or Caine in Malay? We are currently launching a fan-made Malay dubbing of the trailer and are opening casting for the main and supporting roles!
We are looking for enthusiasts who want to put their heart into it, have a desire to work on themselves, and have at least a basic quality microphone.
The Amazing Digital Circus - A psychological dark comedy about cute cartoon characters who hate their lives and want to leave, but in Malay dubbed! 🎪😀
📋 Project Rules & Guidelines
Language & Accent:
All voice acting must be in Bahasa Melayu (Bahasa Melayu Santai / Conversational Malay unless specified otherwise).
Speak clearly and naturally, don't sound like you're reading directly off a paper!
Audio Quality Requirements:
No background noise: Please record in a quiet room with minimal echo, static, fan noise, or background hums.
Microphone: A decent USB or XLR microphone is preferred. No built-in phone/laptop mics or headset mics if possible.
File format: Submit your audio as clean .mp3 or .wav files.
Raw audio: Do not apply heavy post-processing effects (reverb, pitch shift, noise reduction) unless requested, leave audio clean so the editor can mix it!
Auditioning & Submissions:
You may audition for multiple characters!
Please record 2 to 3 takes per line in a single file with slightly different emotions/inflections so we can hear your range.
Label your files clearly (e.g., CharacterName_YourName).
Deadline & Communication:
Deadline: Please submit before the stated deadline. Late submissions won't be reviewed.
If selected, you must be responsive on Discord / Project DMs to receive feedback or record line fixes.

Pomni is the main protagonist of Glitch Productions' indie animated web series The Amazing Digital Circus, voiced by Lizzie Freeman. She was an ordinary human until a digital copy of her was created by a brain scanner, where her copy takes on the form of a cartoon jester. The copy, believing she is trapped inside the Digital Circus with five other victims, is the most recent human to enter under the claim of putting on a headset.
During her first days at the circus, Pomni desperately tried to find a way out, but she was unsuccessful, which led to paranoia and anxiety during the adventures created by Caine. However, she gradually adapted to her new life and grew braver, forming close bonds with the other circus members, especially Ragatha, Jax, and Kinger.
Her human counterpart, Abigail Brooks, is a supermarket accountant and a YouTuber who explores urban sites with her newest friends.

She is a digital copy created by Scratch’s brain scanner that takes the form of a ragdoll who is trapped in the Digital Circus along with five other copies. Ragatha maintains a positive and friendly attitude in almost any situation during the adventures.
Her human counterpart in the real world, Suzie Joanne Ackerman, is a former real estate agent who cut ties with her abusive mother and started a new life in her own barn.

In the real world, their human counterpart, Leeroy Mateo or Lee for short, is a young adult with family issues who ran away from home after pushing their mother. After months of being homeless, they moved in with a close friend and began turning their life around. They now work as a delivery driver.

They are a mix-and-match toy styled character who is stuck in the Digital Circus alongside five other digital copies created by the headset. After the events of Remember, they are in a romantic relationship with Gangle.
Their human counterpart in the real world, Riley Verselis, is the owner of a successful local bar where they welcome all patrons regardless of how they identify, without prejudice.

Looking for a Malay Translator & Script Adapter! 🎪✨
We are looking for a creative writer/translator fluent in both English and Bahasa Melayu to help translate and adapt scripts for The Amazing Digital Circus Malay Fandub!
Responsibilities:
Translate English dialogue into natural, conversational Malay (Bahasa Melayu Santai).
Adapt jokes, idioms, and character tones (e.g., Caine's eccentric hype, Jax's casual sarcasm, Pomni's panicked rambles) so they sound authentic in Malay.
Match line lengths closely to the original lip flaps/timing for voice actors.
Requirements:
Fluent in both English and Malay.
Good understanding of The Amazing Digital Circus characters and humor!
