Project Overview
Love Blossoms begins in a typical dating simulator with 4 female love interests. Despite the lively interactions and budding romances, the main character, Kazuki, feels a sense of detachment, never truly interested in the girls around him. His life takes an unexpected turn when he meets Taro, a charming and slightly clueless guy. The instant connection between them confuses Kazuki, making him question his sexuality.
Later that day he turns to the internet for comfort, but finds nothing that can help him. In one last frustrating effort, he googles Taro’s name, only to find out that his entire world has been a lie. He’s been a video game character this whole time. His worldview breaks, and all he realizes is that he’s doomed to watch as the player makes decisions to draw him away from his true love.
As he closes the browser, he finds a suspicious folder on his desktop. 'Love Blossoms: Hearts Aflutter Academy'. He opens it up, finding two folders: game and code. He opens up the code folder, navigates to the characters section, and scrolls to the bottom through all of his classmates, until he finds it.

That's the summary of Act 1! I'm also planning to include an interactive coding mechanic where the player interacts with Kazuki to help him edit the files. I already have the full story after this planned out, so if you're interested, send in an audition! We'd love to have you on the team!

He's the main character, narrator, probably the most important role. The average joe.. Well, not for long anyway. He quickly gains awareness that he is in a game. He's secretly gay, and doesn't want anything to do with girls. Unfortunately, he's trapped in a dating sim with anime girls.

Teasing : "Yeah, well, It wouldn't be school without you here to annoy me."
Unsettled : "What the hell? Is that... Me..?!"
Bittersweet : "But, this isn't how it was meant to be, is it?"
A generic NPC background character.. Until he's not, that is. He starts out without a voice, but quickly gains one as Kazuki forces him to be the main love interest. Throughout the game he slowly gains consciousness, but he ends up just saying and doing everything Kazuki wants him to. Taro is a himbo with a deep hidden story, having lost everyone he loves. This ends up being foreshadowing for the ending.

Happy: "Hey, remember me? We had a chat yesterday at lunch. We're in the same Data Structures and Algorithms class."
Almost Robotic: "Yes, of course! I'd do anything for you, my love."
Melancholy: "...We may not truly be soulmates in this universe, but imagine all the other ones where we are."
Kazuki's childhood friend, the cheerful and silly troublemaker. Her attitude can brighten up a mood, and her pranks always cause a laugh from the reciever.

Excited: "Heey, by the way, Kazuki... You should stop by my dorm later! My roommates are awesome!"
Joking: "Aw, come on, lighten up! Maybe you'll see some cute girls, hm?"
Misato is the smartest girl in the school, having been valedictorian of her high school. She is humble and doesn't like to brag, but she's got the beauty and the brains! The whole package! She's a romanceable option in Act 1, before Kazuki's epiphany. In reality, looking at her character file, she is aroace and not actually interested in a relationship. She secretly only wants one so she can get ahead in life faster with someone to take care of things at home.

Calm: "Ah, it's quite nice to meet you at last, Kazuki. Your friend here has told us a lot about you."
Curious: "Oh dear, are you alright? I promise I didn't mean to do that. Here, let me help you pick these up..."
Nervous: "What? I have no idea what you're talking about.. At all."
Yume is quite shy but becomes confident around her friends. As a bookworm, she usually has her face buried in a book. She doesn't like talking to strangers much, but if you engage with her, she can go on and on about the characters and plot for hours on end. She is one of the romanceable characters in Act 1. She secretly has a crush on Akari, but chooses to ignore it in worries it would ruin their friendship.

Worried: "Um, I guess I'm Yume, it's nice to meet you. *pause* Sorry, I made it awkward, didn't I..."
Excited: "You.. want to hear about my book? Oh! Um, okay, so there's this girl, we'll call her Shizuku....."
Anxious: "Oh god.. Kazuki, are you sure this is a good idea? I'm starting to feel sick..."
This character has a smaller part. She is really one-dimensional because she gets removed from the game during Act 2. She is the traditional tsundere archetype, with one deep secret.. She doesn't talk down to people because she likes them. She does it because she knows she can get away with it if she makes up enough excuses. She is romanceable in Act 1.

Angry: "Yeah, real great job there! My drink is everywhere now, idiot!"

Looking for an artist to draw CGs for certain scenes such as Kazuki at his computer, Kazuki having a breakdown, meeting Taro.. etc. There won't be too many, probably 8 or 10 MAX.
