Batman: Shadow of the Bat is an upcoming Lego stop-motion series, coming to YouTube. It centres around the early days of the Batman, upon Bruce Wayne’s return to Gotham City, where he is faced with many challenges, such as the crime family war taking over the streets, as well as the villanous Scarecrow coming to spread fear across Gotham.
The first season of Shadow of the Bat will only be 3 (possible 4) episodes long. Estimated 10 minutes per episode. It will be stated in the character description whether or not that character will return for more episodes. If the character that you audition for does return for more episodes, it is required that you return to voice the actor for those episodes, if you are cast.

Voice Actor
Bruce Wayne / Batman is the main character of the series. He has just returned from Gotham after a 12-year absence, in order to clean Gotham of its crime as “Batman”.
Deep, mature voice. American accent. Very serious tone.
As Batman, be creative. Do the type of voice you think would fit. Just don’t do anything like Bale’s Batman voice.
Since he’s the main character, he will obviously be in every episode.
*As Bruce* We’re going straight to the top and taking out the Falcone and Bertinelli crime families. They’re responsible for the most weapons, drugs and murders in the city.
*As Batman* I’m going to give you this warning only once. If I see you or your men stepping out of line even once, then I won’t hesitate to come back here and show you what I’m truly capable of.
*As Both* Mayor Hill. I have more than enough evidence to prove your illegal connections with the Falcone family. Cut ties with them at once, or this information will be broadcast all over the nation.
Voice Actor
Scarecrow is one of the main antagonists in the series.
For the voice, I’m looking for a sophisticated, 20’s-40’s, American male.
When voicing the Scarecrow (not Crane), you can change your voice to how you see fit. However, it’s not necessary for you to change your voice at all.
Scarecrow will be in every episode of the season, and may possible return in a later season.
*As Crane* I am Doctor Jonathan Crane. Thank you very much for taking part in this experiment, it truly does mean a lot to me.
*As Scarecrow* It’s time to send Gotham City spiraling into chaos, and watch it burn to the ground.
*As Both* This city has taken everything from me. Now it’s time I take everything from them.

Dick Grayson is a student at Gotham City High School, with his best friend, Ray McCreary.
For the voice, I’m looking for that of a 13-15 year American boy.
Dick Grayson will be a recurring character throughout the entire series, with plans to eventually turn him into Robin.
Hi. My name’s Richard Grayson. It’s nice to meet you.
What are we doing here Ray? We could get into some serious trouble.
Batman isn’t a criminal. He’s a hero. And if you weren’t so blinded by Falcone’s money, you’d see that as well.
Voice Actor
Alfred Pennyworth is the butler of Bruce Wayne, and assistant to the Batman.
For the voice, I’m looking for a senior, British man with a high-end accent. More of the Jeremy Irons and Michael Gough versions of Alfred, as opposed to Sean Pertwee and Michael Caine’s versions.
Alfred will be in every episode of the series.
I can’t say that I’m too enthusiastic about your plans to fight crime as a vigilante, but you know that I will always support you, no matter your decisions.
I assume the Batman will be making his first appearance tonight?
Master Bruce, there is a matter that requires your attention urgently.

James Gordon is a detective at the Gotham City Police Department.
For the voice, I’m looking for a 30’s-50’s, American male. There’s been many voices for Gordon, so try auditioning with which ever you think works best.
Gordon will be one of the main characters, returning in multiple seasons.

I can assure you that the GCPD are doing everything within their power to take down the individual known as Batman.

Carmine Falcone is one of the main antagonists of the first season, due to his crime war against the Bertinelli crime family.
For the voice, I’m searching for an older male (est. 50’s), Italian-American accent. Resembling that of a stereotypical mob boss.
I also wouldn’t mind less stereotypical voices, similar to John Doman or Richard McGonagle’s portrayal’s of the character.
Carmine will appear in multiple episodes throughout the season, with a potential return in future seasons.
Tell me. What news have you got for me from the Bertinelli camp?
No need to worry. Mayor Hamilton Hill works for us now. We can do whatever we want to the Bertinelli family, without any backlash from the GCPD.

Hamilton Hill is the Mayor of Gotham City, who’s had a long history with Thomas and Martha Wayne (Batman’s parents).
For the voice, I’m looking for a sophisticated, 30’s-50’s, American male.
It is most likely that Mayor Hill will return throughout the season, though not confirmed.
Bruce Wayne. You have no idea how relieved I was to hear of your safe return to Gotham City.
I owe my entire career to Thomas and Martha Wayne. It was after their passing that Gotham started losing its way.
You shouldn’t be here, Carmine. If we’re seen conducting business together, we’d all be in for some serious trouble. Especially with the arrival of that masked freak, Batman.

Eric Border is a member of the Bertinelli crime family, but is truly a snitch, actually working for the Falcone’s.
Eric’s voice should be any generic, adult, American, male accent.
Eric will be in most (if not all) episodes this season, and will return next season as a different character *wink*.
I’ve got some bad news, boss. I’m not sure how, but the Bertinelli’s found out that you have Mayor Hill in your pocket.
There’s an event happening tonight for the opening of the new medical clinic in the downtown area, and Mayor Hill is attending. That’s where they plan on striking.
It’s time that we take out the Batman, once and for all.

Jack Ryder is a news reporter for WGBS News. He closely follows the gang war tearing up Gotham, between the Falcone and Bertinelli crime families, as well as the appearance of the Batman.
