A full, cinematic dub of the game. Top to bottom. Voices, sound effects and music all syched together to create the tone of a movie and create an experience sitting through. And the tone of which I speak? That's where this description comes in *SO PAY ATTENTION*... please.
Skyward Sword has a much lighter feel that Twilight Princess (My last project) while still attempting to hold up on the cinematic end. I'd like to quickly address the matter of my early casting. I had to speed up my schedule for this project a bit, as I'm actually helping ZeldaUniverse with their upcoming dub of Twilight Princess... Not as awkward as it sounds. (In addition to just editing as a job. I'm spending a lot of time at my computer.)
So I really needed to jumpstart this project and get started on episode 1.
I may still contact some of you to ask if you'd like to be in smaller parts, or may set up future Casting Calls down the line. So don't be discouraged if you felt brushed off. I've begun to zero in on the roles I like for most characters. If you plan to audition, do it soon.
A problem I've noticed a lot on sites like BTVA and other sites, and I've run into this issue myself. Is when passionate fans submit their auditions with their desired characters effects already in place. And projects like these simply don't work that way. Niether does the voice acting industry. I will add effects to the characters myself in post, what I need to know is: can you handle whatever part your passion leads you to on your own? If you can do that... Well you're all set! Pure evil. The final boss, he's got fire for hair and scales for skin. Preferably very deep voice. Show me what you've got, and get creative. Throw in an accent if you like, maybe a bit of a scottish tone? Who knows? I'm just throwing out ideas... Don't give me that look! Can you do any better? Show me! :D

Let's face it. He's a teenage Gaston (From Beauty and the Beast). But in all the best ways. With that said, that's only partially what I'm looking for. Groose is a suprisingly diverse character for being like Biff from Back to the Future. (Another good example)
"You lay off my do right now, or I'll flatten you! Everyone knows I've got the sickest pompadour in town!"
(Voice gets high pitched before returning to normal) "Ooh, Zelda and I are BEST friends. We go everywhere together." ...Blegh..."
(This line has a huge epic buildup and then a pause before the last word, which is ultimately a joke)
"You know, Link... It's sort of all right down here. This place needs a name. Yeah... A name fitting for this rugged, adventurous wilderness. From now on, we'll call it... Grooseland! "
Old and wise. Kind of sweet and sentimental too. She's been through this before and is rooting for you.
"Ah... The traveler decended from the clouds above. I welcome you, child of fate."
"I feel an evil power working in the shadows to warp the destiny of which you two are a part."
"...See? I told you we'd meet again."

This is a more fun-loving, innocent Zelda than previous incarnations. A normal girl. Think the more recent disney princesses. Kinda quirky and playful, but keep it in check.

Even though I am Hylia reborn, I am still my father's daughter, and your friend. I'm still your Zelda... So I'm going to ask you a favor, sleepyhead. Ever since we were kids, I'd always be the one to wake you up when you slept in. But this time, when all of this is over, will you come to wake me up?
Not robotic, synthasized. A very pretty voice, but very dry and a little sarcastic at times (Not GLaDoS). She has been locked away a long time, she's essentially a program, but she expresses everything she does through dance and rhythm. So everything is done with a tinge of elegance and pride. Keep all that in mind when you're auditioning. I can apply effect to your voice later, just worry about giving a good performance.
"Therefore, should you wish to meet with your friend, I highly recommend you take up this sword before you set out to search for her... Does that information invigorate you? Are you ready to accept this sword?" (Link rushes up without hesitation) "...It seems that further persuasive measures will... not be required."
I should provide you with my personal designation. Fi is the name I was given. I was created for a single purpose, long before the recorded memory of your people. I must aid you in fulfilling the great destiny that is your burden to carry.
I do not have the capability to fully understand the human spirit, Link... But now, at the end of my journey with you, as I prepare to sleep within the Master Sword forever, I experience a feeling I am unable to identify. I lack sufficient data to be sure of my conclusion, but I believe this feeling correlates closest to what your people call...happiness.
All business. A shieka warrior with one goal in mind: Keep Zelda safe. And she even snaps at Link a few times. As far as she's concerned, she's the only hero Zelda needs. Any accent will do, just keep in mind what I said.
"Do my words sting? Let them. If I had not come when I did, 'your Zelda' would have fallen into the hands of the enemy."
"Link! You must go now. Return to the old woman at the Sealed Grounds. Tell her what happened here. She will know where you must go!"
"Do not despair Zelda, you and I will surely meet again."
Noone seems to get this guy quite right. But perhaps it's just hard to nail down his dual nature. He doesn't really belong with the rest of the characters in the Zelda lore. When recording your lines, remember, he is both an extremely flamboyant egomaniac and a weapon. In that I mean he's like Fi, but hasn't exactly been sitting under a statue waiting for some prophecy. He's become a freak of nature, and he's on the constant verge of snapping. So think of him less like a Zelda character and more like an Anime character.
