Kemono Friends: An Anime Fan-Made Dub
Project Overview
WHAT IS THIS?
This is going to be a fanmade dub of the anime series, Kemono Friends. If this does alright we'll also do Kemono Friends 2. We'll be doing our best to capture the feel and the energy of the series.
For those of you unfamiliar with the premise: Japari Park is a large zoo that is home to extant species, endangered species, extinct species, cryptids, and some legendary creatures. Due to a mysterious substance known as "Sandstar", many of the animals have become anthropomorphized into girls known as Friends. The series is about a girl who wakes up in Japari Park with no recollection of who she is or how she got there. She encounters a serval Friend, who names the girl "Kaban". Together, they set out on an adventure to find out what kind of animal Kaban is, passing through multiple regions of Japari Park and meeting new friends along the way.
REQUIREMENTS:
1. Please make sure your microphone is capable of recording your voice without picking up overwhelming background noises or excessive peaking/clipping.
2. You must have a Discord account, as the project will be going into production over there.
3. Your reel files should be sent in either a .WAV or .MP3 format.
4. You need to have a very clear idea of both the series and the characters, especially their dub voices.
5. Open Ethnicity, POC actors are heavily encouraged to audition.

Kaban has a reserved, calm, and caring personality. She is not as outgoing as Serval when it comes to interacting with other friends, and her gentle voice and less animated body language contrasts her from Serval's hyper personality. She also does not make as quick remarks as often as Serval does and tends to think through her words more. Kaban is also able to remain calm and think of solutions under pressure. Her kindness shows when she is talking to friends such as Crested Ibis. She also cares for her friends and the Park's safety more than herself. She's polite and appreciates all the help she receives throughout the story, and she is thankful for the experiences she has in Japari Park. She is always willing to help others. Even though Kaban can be brave, she is also very easily scared. Throughout the anime, she screams "Do not eat me!" usually when she is jump-scared by a friend.

Serval's personality is akin to a ball of sunshine; she's blindingly positive and seems incapable of seeing anything other than silver lining. She places deep trust in her friends, has curiosity befitting a cat, and enjoys helping those in need. The tenacity and friendliness of this feline Friend knows no bounds, and they give her the strength to overcome literal mountains. A Friend willing to give her all for others, Serval's kindness extends to even giving up her own life for her Friends.

Hippopotamus has an 'older sister' personality. While she demonstrates worry, she is also protective. She can also be teasing, when she jokes about Serval.

Otter is a fun-loving and curious Friend. She is always looking for ways to have fun and will try just about anything if she thinks it will be a hint of fun! She is also very curious and calls things interesting or silly that she doesn't understand. However she seems to get distracted easily unless set on a specific task that interests her such as looking for the Japari Bus or taking a ride on Jaguar's raft service.

Jaguar is best described as a reliable and helpful Friend. She willingly provides river crossing services of her own accord.

Crested Ibis is usually very soft-spoken and calm but is loud and enthusiastic when singing. She hopes to attract new friends with her singing and is appreciative of her fans. She seems to give much thought about even the mundane happenings in life, which often end up being the motifs for her songs.

Raccoon can be defined as an impulsive, energetic Friend that runs every time towards her objective without stopping to think. Not very wise but strong-willed, staying true to her conviction to retrieve the hat that was stolen from her. She has a strong sense of justice, by wanting to save the park from danger, and an equally passionate admiration for those that commit heroic acts.

Fennec is very intelligent and patient. Her best friend is Raccoon. Fennec could best be described as the polar opposite of Raccoon. Fennec is calm, collected and prefers to observe and think through her choices rather than run-off on an impulse. She is intelligent and observant. Fennec is almost like an older sister to Raccoon, trying to teach her and keep her out of trouble and thus this reflects onto other Friends as well.

Tsuchinoko is generally shy and does not want to come into contact with other Friends. Despite this, she has a very loud and potentially dirty mouth. She will use this kind of voice to assert what she wants to say. It is not uncommon for other Friends to consider her speech patterns rude. She seems to be fond of knowledge, researching about Japari Park and taking note of its history. She becomes gleeful when she comes across discoveries that wasn't known to Japari Park before. However, she seems to know a lot about things that could be considered ancient around the Park.

Sand Cat is shown to have a very curious personality, often finding interest in various things, though also losing interest just as quick once her curiosity has been sated.

North American Beaver constantly questions her abilities and qualities each time she has something she wants to accomplish, she worries over the small details and doesn't find the determination to continue when she loses her way. Nevertheless, she consistently creates new ideas and knows how to arrange them.

Black-Tailed Prairie Dog is a hyperactive Friend who is always feels the need to be moving and working, usually by digging holes or helping others. She's simple-minded and often doesn't think before acting; however, she can learn quickly and follows orders perfectly.

Lion comes across as serious, charismatic,and even frightening especially during her first encounter with Kaban and Serval. She is also very confident in her own fighting abilities as well as her bodyguards. She can also be nice and protective over her Friends, or like she calls them, her "girls". Despite her tough outer-shell, she can be lazy and take most of her time rest. Lion seems to be easily bored and wants to feel the excitement of fighting Moose.

Moose is a simple minded friend. Easily delighted by others capability. Prefer to fight foes head on. She takes the competition between her and Lion seriously. Moose can easily inspire her allies with her positive attitude, although she is often thick headed.

Shoebill is quiet and has a tendency to stare at others often, a habit that is involuntary. When speaking, she is rather soft-spoken, polite, and expresses a desire to stop her staring and other 'creepy' behavior. It also appears that she has seen, heard of, or otherwise studied humans before as she expresses knowledge of them; however, she does not know the area that they would presumably live in.

Northern White-Face Owl, often referred to as Professor by herself and other Friends, shares personality traits with Eurasian Eagle-Owl, her assistant. They are famed as the wisest Friends of Japari Park for their wide knowledge of Friends and the Park itself, and are well-aware of it; they proudly consider themselves as such and act highly defensive when someone says the opposite.

Eurasian Eagle-Owl also known as the assistant shares personality traits with Northern White-Faced Owl, the professor. They are famous for their wide knowledge as a Friend. They proudly consider themselves as wise and get highly defensive when a Friend say the opposite.

Margay's personality is very enthusiastic and almost obsessive. She loves her idols, and studies them diligently.

Royal Penguin, nicknamed Princess, is a member of P.P.P. Princess has a sense of confidence that P.P.P. can become something great. Despite this, she's a firm believer that being an idol should be fun, and encourages the rest of the group to loosen up and enjoy themselves while improving their technique.

Emperor is a part of P.P.P. Emperor tends to get nervous very easily. She sometimes gets so tense that she passes out from the pressure.

Gentoo Penguin, nicknamed Gean, is a part of P.P.P. Gean is a soft-spoken and kind penguin Friend who is supportive and respectful to her fellow idols. She speaks properly and formally even to her closest friends and always gives her best effort. She is timid despite her celebrity status, and she folds easily under pressure. Nevertheless, she enjoys singing and dancing very much.

Southern Rockhopper Penguin, nicknamed Rocker, is a member of P.P.P. Compared to the other PPP members, Rocker seems energetic. Often determined, she's ready to get things done even when scared or anxious. She loves helping the others and motivating them.

Humboldt Penguin, nicknamed Hululu, is a member of the P.P.P. Humboldt Penguin has an "airhead" personality. She is particularly free-spirited and not always aware of her current situation.

Silver Fox is calm and patient, she seems to play the "big sister" role in Ezo Red Fox's life who acts more like a young child.

Ezo Red Fox is a reserved Friend that does not want to expose herself to the others unless she is with Silver Fox. She is calm and discrete, and spends most of her time playing video games or resting. She does not seems to have much interest in the world that's around her, and only focuses her thoughts on her hobbies.

Campo Flicker is a friend who seems to like variety and fashion, she has great memory and remembers the architecture of every chamber of the Lodge Campo, she is fascinated by them.

Gray Wolf maintains a calm and playful composure. While talking to others, she stays calm on the outside, but enjoys scaring others to record reactions for her manga. However, she can be scared herself.

Reticulated Giraffe is quick to jump to conclusions and enjoys acting like a detective, drawing inspiration from Grey Wolf's manga, "Horror Detective Dr. Girogiro". She enjoys solving mysteries, but unfortunately tends to be incorrect in her assumptions.

Brown Bear has a brave and rough nature, while showing signs of kindness, as she repeatedly shows concern for the safety of others. She acts like a leader of her group, and is able to remain calm even in battle. She's also not afraid of fire.

Golden Snub-Nosed Monkey has a kind and protective nature. She is fairly sensitive to others' feelings.
